Yes, they must beat West on Thursday. They are a good team, especially if Long and Brady are playing well. I thought our defensive pressure finally got to them in the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter by pushing them to play faster than they wanted to. They had a good chance to go up by 8 or 9 late in the game and made a foolish drive to the basket when they had been scorching 3s the whole game. The District tournament should be interesting. All of the teams are very capable of getting hot and beating everyone else, including us. I still think we had a strong upside and have yet to play our best ball. Starting the Friday, we have an incredible stretch of basketball that includes Clinton (2x), West and Fulton.

What a game tonight! Up until the last 2 minutes, I thought Campbell County had it. The Cougars shot the ball exceptionally well and somehow we were able to turn up the pressure enough and finally knock down some shots to pull out the win. Looking for a great game against Clinton Friday night.

I agree. It should be 2 great games. However, we need to play better than we did at Karns.

I think we can say that Coach Taylor has our girls playing her brand of basketball. West goes down 72-35. I like that this team has a lot of weapons and not so reliant on 1 person to carry the balance of the scoring load. RWR!

Knox County is now out-of-session for the rest of the week. That will probably take out Friday's games as well.

We have 1 starter back from last year's starting 5. However, our new starters (all seniors) are doing well. Kell Slater (the returning player) is one of the better point guards in our area. This group plays a lot better as a team than last year's group, imo. I do expect us to be one of the Region finalists. (I will be more sure after we play Knox West).

The new regime is definitely friendlier to live-streaming of games. Wouldn't be surprised at all if football is live-streamed next season. Also, add Jason Martin to the assistant coach list. He was on the staff at Halls.

Especially linemen. Just an anecdote: when my son was a senior, his squat (425 at 167 bw) was the 2nd heaviest lift on the team. There is definitely room for improvement in the SC area.

They went young. Good resume with experience in North Metro Orlando football which is very high level. It will be interesting to see what he can do with LC.

There are more ways to skin said cat than creating new positions. Dr. Adams has already shown some creativity with staffing to address other areas in the HS.

We do have a good supply of skill guys from our middle schools, what we are lacking is a good supply of the big uglys on the line. A big reason why we were 3-8 was we were missing 3 starters and a talented freshman backup for almost the whole season. We just didn't have the talent and/or numbers to be competitive with the better teams on our schedule. I understand your point about relatability, but I don't think CSC has had that problem with any of his stops. Oridgecat has written much about stepping it up in terms of effort on the field and effort in the weight room, so I will not repeat what he has written except to say that I agree 100%.

I think it is a good get. Good teacher of the game. Tough Defenses, emphasis on running the football. He should be a good fit for us.
