  1. I may be looking ahead to Alcoa as an anxious Fulton fan! (Can't wait til that one!) but, the Falcon coaching staff and team have AC at the top of their priority list. Losing the AE game was undoubtedly tough for the Falcon team, but, not as big of a blow to their pride as people may think. Just think about the way things have worked out in the AE/Fulton rivalry in the past. A few years ago, Anderson County and Fulton began to build an exciting rivalry of their own. With Fulton's recent successes, and AC having a little trouble the past couple of years, it's fizzed out a little. I'm hopin it heats back up this Friday night for an exciting football game! With my Falcons on top of course! AC's gonna be looking to put out a big name for themselves and saying they knocked off the defending state champs. Fulton wants to defend their title and get a win under their belt. It's gonna be a good game! Let's just hope all the Falcon fans can set aside some extra gas money to make the trip! As always...GO FALCONS!!! Get'em!
  2. You're right. It'll be a close game and good game with some of the best athletes in East TN. Nobody can rightfully say that either team will beat the others "Tail". that's stupid. Don't discredit these boys in that way. Both Fulton and Alcoa have been successful recently....this year won't be any different. I'm looking forward to this game. And, as a FAITHFUL FALCON, let me say good luck to Alcoa this season. Hope to see you back in the Boro this December!
  3. Fulton offers just as good a education as any other school. They have some attendance and drop-out issues. That's what project grad is there for. It's a wonderful program and Fulton and AE are lucky to have it.
  4. In the last 3 years combined....Fulton has played in, what, 6 more games than AE.....being the semifinals and finals each year. That means that this years Falcon seniors and juniors have come up in a championship program. That in itself is an advantage for the Falcons over other teams. We've played Trousdale, Macon, Smith, Greenbrier, Covington.....all quality teams. They've played 15 games for the past 3 years. Something that very few programs across the state get to do, obviously, only those who make it to the Boro. Yes, AE football has been successful in the past. And, yes, they are still a powerhouse in Knoxville, 2-3a, and 3a. But (coming fomr another thread) you need to change your comment from "All championships are ran through AE" to they "USED to be ran through AE." And that's the truth. You don't like it....tell your boys to change it. AE is no longer the leader in 3a. Fulton is. Nobody can rightfully argue that. It's a new year and that may change. But, as of right now, Fulton's got the edge.
  5. And a Fulton education is a great education.Wonderful teachers and administration. I wouldn't blame them for choosing the Fulton community.
  6. So I guess you could say now that ALL CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE RAN THROUGH FULTON ?!?!?! Right.
  7. I didn't say young....I said less experienced....there is a difference. Lil Albert and A.Mac may have taught the AE players something....but they can't give them experience. The past 3 years Fulton has played in more games and tougher games then AE. That gives them a little edge when it comes to AE. I'm not saying that's gonna make a HUGE difference in the outcome of the season opener. But....it could.
  8. Fulton vs. Austin East in Knoxville. The "Backyard Brawl." These cross-town rivals play week 1 this year. This game always comes down to a point or 2. AE brought home a state title a few years ago. Fulton has brought it home the past 2 years, knocking AE out of the playoffs along the way. These are 2 of the biggest rival schools across the state. Any theory, or planning is out the window when the Falcons and Runners hit the field. It becomes personal. These boys grew up together, they want braggin rights. AE is lookin to serve the Falcons with a 0-1 start. Fulton's defending their title. This is the game to be at. It'll be packed.....and, considering the past 4 or 5 years, these two teams will be battling out for the Title in week 3 of the playoffs. This game will be a nice preview for that. Hope to see you there!
  9. Maybe not less athletes....but younger, less experienced athletes. It's something every program goes through at one point or another....no need to get offeneded when someone poiints it out to you.
  10. I gotta tell ya'll...there's nothin better then a naive roadrunner. Just goes to show a couple of things the future hold for the Falcons in 2005...oh how sweet it is! Like I said before ....you'll see. Yes, there may be some cheap imitation of a Gold ball sittin on MLK come this december....but, to the best of my knowledge...the "Real deal" is still up for grabs. AE has a shot at it.....but the Falcons got the advantage! I can't wait for this season to start. One of the toughest schedules the Falcons have ever put together. There'll be alot of learning and strengthening along the way....one of the games at the top of the list for me is the Alcoa game....can't wait for that one!!! GO FALCONS!
  11. I think the surprise team in the region this year will be LA....certainly not Scott. LA played some good teams in their previous region. And they no doubt know what they're getting themnselves into. At the Fulton/ Smith game there were LA players lining the walkway as the Fulton players returned to the locker room after the game. They were all saying congratulations, good game, etc. Very classy, respectful from what I saw. In my eyes their demeanor could be a sign of a disciplined team. I think they'll do well. But I think it'll still be Fulton and AE on top. GO FALCONS!!!
  12. It never hurts to have lady luck on your side....but i think a HUGE part of the Falcons success the past few years has been the coaching. We've ha d a different qb every year for the past 3 or 4 years.....new players step it up every year.....players come and go....but no matter who takes the field on Fridays at Fulton, you better believe they have been overly prepared for anything thanks to an incredible coaching staff! I think Fulton's gonna have a few surprises for everybody this year. I can't wait! GO FALCONS!!! KWalker.....I been a little busy with school and work....but I switched to part time now.....(every Friday off by the waY!).....see ya on the 50!
  13. Well....it's been awhile since I been on here. Where u at KWalker!!!! What's been goin on with the Falcons so far this summer. I don't know about ya'll but I can't WAIT til August!!! Will kick off the season with our biggest win of the year! It's great to be an FHS Falcon!
  14. The Falcons are 16-0 right now. 8-0 against 3A schools. Yes....AE was one of our wins. Yes...it was WONDERFUL to get that win that night. But that's it....that night. The next day....the Falcons were back to business as usual....and you can bet on that. I believe the Falcons will beat the runners again on the 22nd....only b/c we played pretty bad in the first matchup, but still came out victorious. We'd be aight against the runners if we played good on the 22nd....no doubt in my mind. HOWEVER, IF AE did beat Fulton....yeah....it would suck for that night....and a couple days after that......but it don't mean nothin. IF that happened. We'd be 1-1 with AE. You can't gloat for being tied. And we'd be 16-1. ONE. It don't mean much. So....go ahead roadrunner....humble the Falcons. Either way the coin drops......The Falcons still got the edge up on AE. It's too late to change that now. We're on a roll....destined for success. This is the best chance Jody Wright has had at a State Title in a LONG time! Call it wishful thinkin....call it what you want. Everybody who has seen the Falcon truly play know what I'm talkin about. 2005 is our year to *SHINE*! Keep'em comin Falcons!!!! KWalker...keep your head up! God Bless you!
  15. I'll just wish my Falcons Good Luck in advance. I have to work on the 22nd...and I ain't happy about it. But...oh well....they'll get the job done. Roadrunner....i coulda swore you were suppose to have shut us up in the football playoffs....and then again you were supposed to shut us up the other night. Oh well....you Roadrunners will learn someday.
  16. You gotta please everybody....from TI to Keeny Chesney. I for one like all music....so it didn't bother me. You should come to Fulton more often....you'll learn a thing or two. Again....Isaiah didn't have a good game....and I ain't just talkin about scoring. He'll undoubtedly bounce back though.....he's extremely talented.
  17. Well...Isaiah had a pretty bad game last night....so no....he didn't live up to any expectations (well at least not for those who see him all the time.) He's MUCH MUCH better than he played last night. Wade struggled some...he's been in kind of a slump lately. Elliot came down with some good rebounds, but couldn't follow through. Rushawn made some key plays, but couldn't put it up. That said.....Fulton played mediocre-bad last night......hopefully we'll have our game faces on on the 22nd. We almost lost that one....hopefully it'll be an eye-opener to the boys. Marques....GREAT game....you were hot last night. Darrell....you had a good game too. We'll bounce back.....and we'll play TRUE Falcon Basketball come January 22nd....better yet....come Tuesday hopefully! A win's a win!!! I'll take it!!! As for AE......Albert had some flashy moves. Some were impressive...some were costly win they blew up in his face. He's a good ball player. A. Mac....stick to football. AE has a good team (as always) and I don't think they'll lose to any other area teams, other than Fulton. We'll see ya'll on the 22nd....but we'll DEFINITELY see you in March!!! PS....Step team was good....Dancing was not....still, it was entertainment to make halftime go by a little quicker. GO FALCONS!!!!
  18. Exit Albert Harris....Enter Isaiah Ray. Nuff Said! Falcons by 12
  19. It don't mean anything to the Falcon that they're undefeated now. Watching them play, it's obvious that they aren't playin their best game right now. They have alot of improvements to make. And....I cross my fingers that the AE players and coaches agree with you that this game rides on E. Bishop's back. If that's the roadrunners mentality, then the Falcons have nothing to worry about! Get'em!
  20. If football was your excuse against AE then what's the excuse for the Fulton loss?!?! We were on the field just as long as ya'll?!? Sooooooo.....whatcha gonna say now?!?!
  21. 2005....week 3....Aloca vs. Fulton....nuff said. If you wanna see the best of the best of 2a and 3a battle it out, then be there.
  22. I think overall, Austin East was the Falcons toughest, and most talented opponent. Smith County would come in second. But SC just doesn't have the athletes and isn't prone to makin the big plays that AE does.
  23. Well....it's that time again. The off-season . I can't wait til August, but that's a long ways away. But, for now, I'll leave ya'll with one last message. SOME people have thought that my posts have been inappropriate and classless at times. Well, I just tell it like I see it. There's just people out here who don't wanna hear what you have to say unless you're tellin them their team's gonna win the Gold for 20 years straight and shut-out every team they play. People want ya to bend-over backwards for'em, and that just ain't me. If I've offended anyone, sorry you took it that way, but, I'll stand by everything I've said, and will tell you that I meant it. Nothin but harmless "trash-talkin" which in my opinion is part of the game of football, period. Especially at this level. I'm proud of what my Falcons have accomplished this year. Ya'll have shown INCREDIBLE character for the things you overcame, only to make it back to the Ship and win another Gold Ball. Coatney, I'm sure you'll place it in that trophy case well next to last year's. Don't know where ya'll will put both of those rings, but that's one problem that I don't think any player or coach would mind having right about now. Ya'll have earned everything you got, no matter what anybody says. This year, you came into the season underestimated and surprised alot of people. The only way you're gonna surprise anybody next year is if you lose. The target is on ya'lls chest. Opposition will be out to get the Falcons next year. My point? Train WELL this year. Hit the weights, and hit the books. Don't let grades hold you back. Stay healthy and get BIG for next year!!! 2005......No surprise endings, just business as usual on the Hill! I'll have my Championship sweatshirt neatly folded, waiting for the football season to come! Good luck, and God Bless! As ALWAYS.......GO FALCONS!!!
  24. I agree with jtidwell. Region 2 is stronger than ever with the reclassifications.
