  1. Hey Wes, Way to go out on a limb;). BA is always very good. I am looking forward to another great season in DII AAA. It is the best football in the state. Good Luck to BA this year.

You know me alright. Is this who I think it is? Go Big Orange! Send me a PM
  3. Houston, I hope you find what you're looking for. Rest assured that you do not influence my views on life, and you never will. Do not tell me what I have to do in reference to how I treat others. The maturation process is a long and winding road. Good luck in your travels. God's Speed, FlyBy
  4. I copied this from my post in the HS thread, but it applies here as well: Houston, While agree with some of your statements, I am reminded that I am who I am and I believe what I believe. Jesus teaches us to love one another; however, he also expects each and everyone of us to act in a manner that is pleasing to him. Therein lies the toughest of arguments. How does one love what we would consider a "lost" person while also impacting his life in a positive manner for Christ without condoning his actions? Accepting people for who they are is not what Jesus intended for us to do from what I understand. He wants us to go out and save the world. We do not do that by being tolerant of everyone and his behavior, because in a sense you are then saying that it is OK to be "lost". This is a huge issue for a lot of Conservatives, because we are tired of seeing our "acceptance" of others being taken advantage of to change laws that support a lot of our beliefs. We are too afraid to say "that is wrong!", because that would not be "Christ-like". Well, I'd argue that that is being "Christ-like" in certain instances. We should have the guts to stand up for what is right (according to us). I am reminded of a C S Lewis quote that goes something like this: "Tolerance is the virtue of a man without convictions" This is a very frustrating topic for me. I want to accept people for who they are, but I do not want to condone their actions. Food for thought...... FlyBy --------------------

DCW, Tell Glendon that an old roller boy from Nashville said hello! Thanks

Any of you Huntingdon boys know Glendon Rich? Is he still working in the press box?
  8. I am more concerned about potential baseball related issues like who is going to pitch and who is going to catch! Let's have some suggestions for the favorite plays they'll run in football.
  9. This is all President Butch's fault! I mean President Bush! Watch out Libs; the conservatives are coming!
  10. Sequatchie, In all respect, Ingle would be starting at Free and allowing Rashad to play somewhere else. I am a huge UT fan as well, and I know we have plenty of places that Rashad could help us right now, namely at receiver. Correct me if I am wrong, but if I remember correctly, Rashad came to UT to play receiver originally and converted to dback to fill holes.
  11. Last year I threw out the idea of one Super League bringing all of the Southeastern Private Power Schools into one private league. I agree that it sounded a little crazy at first, but I am beginning to believe that the concept is not that ridiculous. With all of the hoopla surrounding the MBA Trinity game and the talk of an estimated crowd in excess of 5,000 people, I am beginning to imagine what it really would look like week in and week out. What if MBA's schedule looked like this for 2004: @ Trinity Brentwood Academy @ McCallie Jax Bolles @ Marist Evangel @ Baylor MUS @CBHS etc.... I know I left off several good schools, but you get the picture. Can you imagine the excitement that that would bring to the High School arena? I know that this is impossible because of the impact on the student related activities which is why kids ultimately go to MBA anyway; however, it is fun to think about it.
  12. Sure would be nice to be watching him roam the field at Free Safety for UT right now. I guess that is what Fulmer gets for being honest with a kid.
  13. This is what is great about HS football. Any team can beat any team on a given night. Many of you seem to have forgotten that BGA beat MBA last year as well. So, what does that mean? It means that the MBA team battled through early adversity and became a solid football team at year's end. Yes, they were the best team in DII-AAA at the end of the year. The run that they had starting with the Ryan game was nothing short of amazing. They whipped McCallie, then avenged earlier losses to Baylor, MUS, and finally Brentwood Academy. It was an awesome run; maybe the best turn-around I have ever witnessed. Everyone seems to talk about MBA and BA, but Baylor and several other schools will be returning decent teams this year like MBA returned last year. Anyone could take it. Buckle it up and hit'em in the face. Roll Red Roll FlyBy
  14. Dandy, Sounds great. I've been in Philly meeting with Sixers and Flyers all week, so I have been far removed from fishing lately. Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be hitting it hard again, so I'd like to take you up on that. PM me with your number. FlyBy

    MBA vs Trinity

Let them continue to think that way...... I know a bunch of players and coaches who thought the same way going into a game with MBA who left with a different opinion.

    MBA vs Trinity

Is it just me, or does this have a familiar ring to anyone else? Team X has great athletes on both sides of the ball and is heavily laden with D-I talent. If Team X plays their game, they'll kill the Big Red. MBA is the same old MBA with pretty good talent returning and their usual solid game planning by an excellent coaching staff. Everytime MBA has a big game, we hear the same story. X team is bigger, faster, stronger, more athletic,... blah, blah, blah....... The last time I checked, MBA's record in big games is pretty good in recent history. Gentlemen, Execute your game plan, make your reads, and knock the ___ out of them! Go Big Red! FlyBy
  18. Thanks Dandy, I had three keepers a few nights ago; still not as productive as I want, but it's getting better.
  19. GWAVE is having issues. Gallatin has one of the greatest football histories in this state, but they are no longer what they once were. Over the last several years, the Super Seven has fielded the best teams in the state. Other schools have had more talent, but talent doesn't put W's on the board.
  20. How many of you get tired of hearing how great a team is going to be year in and year out from a bunch of song birds only to find them not fulfilling expectations every dang year? I have my list, but I'd like to see yours. So, tell us who sings a big song before week zero only to be crying after the Clinic Bowl?
  21. Thanks a lot 71! I actually did pretty well there Thursday night. This just in; I don't like getting beat, so I keep on trying until I figure it out.........
  22. Old Hickory is kicking my butt. I'd greatly appreciate anyone who can help me find some larger fish. I can go out there and find plenty of short fish, but the big ones are tough to find. Any suggestions? Thanks, FlyBy
  23. Houston, I yield to your superior knowledge and greatness of being. It is quite obvious that you are highly educated and highly full of _____! I'm not who you think I am! Do not tell me how to judge people. People's actions speak for themselves. One should not be able to murder an unborn child just because she wanted to have a little fun. She is not solely to blame, because many young men do not value the role of relationship and love in this country; you may or may not be one of those, I do not know. There are plenty of options available for birth control, the key one being abstinence. Do you have children? If you do, go hold them in your arms and see how delicate and innocent they are. Then while holding your children, I want you to imagine what it would be like for an unborn child to go through an abortion. After you do that, then come back and justify it for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is where you folks are all wrong; forget the mother, this is about the child! Let the child's voice, or should I say screams, be heard!!!!!!!! Always remember, that FlyBy loves you and everyone else with whom he disagrees!
