I believe the Owls of Smith County are picked 5th to begin the season. That is the same placed they were picked in the pre-season last year...and looked what happened.

Smith County will scrimmage Westmoreland on Thursday, Nov. 4; Pickett County on Monday, Nov. 8; and Monterey on Thursday, Nov. 11 before playing Lebanon in a Hall of Fame game on Nov. 16.

L.A. should be the dominant team; although, there could be a few surprises...kinda like last year

Ledbetter didn't look hurt at all. Good TEAM defense and TEAM play won the game for the OWLS. York may be 20 pts. better on paper; but S.C. was 2 pts. better on the scoreboard. Great game OWLS!

GREAT EFFORT TONIGHT OWLS! TRAILED MOST OF THE GAME; DOWN BY ABOUT 15 AT ONE POINT IN THE 2ND QT., ONLY TO COME BACK AND WIN BIG AGAINST A VERY GOOD WESTMORELAND TEAM. GREAT JOB AND BEST OF LUCK THE REST OF THE SEASON!

I don't think the bigger Winkler is going to play. He hurt is ankle pretty bad the last game.

Great Effort Owls! Started out with a bang! Scoring 29 pts. in the 1st Qt. A lot of touchy fouls; but, everyone played well and scored...a total team effort. Macon played well. Harris lokked good. Good Luck this season.

How will this game go? From what I have heard, both teams are struggling a bit.
