  1. Seymour, took, and the rest you hater out there, where did you all go????? hahaha, I told you that Alcoa would win by 40 and they won by 41!! and the mercy rule was in affect once again, and the starters only played 2 1/2 quarters!! Please don't talk the talk if you can't back it up! Rockwood kept their starters in the whole game and scored with a min. left in the game!
  2. Seymour, You just make sure to get on here tonight after the game. Don't be one of those fans that talk and then don't show up ever again. Alcoa wins big!!!
  3. I love the School spirit and all, but that's not gonna happen! Alcoa by 40!
  4. Alcoa will score on just about anybody, but our defense has its flaws also. Our secondary is extremely weak from what I've been seeing. Cobb is by far the best player on the field, but tony doesn't need to be in there at corner.
  5. If people think the sucess Maryville and Alcoa has had in the last three years comes from open zone, then we'll just keep the secret to ourselves...............feeder programs, middle school programs......opps, did I say that? -BlountCountySportsFan [Maybe the coach from William Blount has found out a way to keep his players ay William Blount./quote] I can tell you as an Alcoa Alum that 99% of Alcoa's Star Athletes, all-staters, etc.. are BORN AND RAISED IN ALCOA!!! What part are you people not understanding! There's no recruiting goin on in Blount Co. We just know how to win Gold balls!
  6. Cobb from Alcoa is one of the most athletic players to ever come through Goddard! And he's the qb,db,punt returner, holder, personal protector, and everything else!
  7. 15th in USA Today and 19th in Prep Nat. Poll as of today
  8. Loved, Hated, but never ignored!! Why are there so many haters out there? When Alcoa and Maryville weren't winning in the mid 90s no one said anything about Blount Co. football! Now that there are a few gold balls here it's because we are getting all the players from surrounding areas! Let me tell you guys something, for ya info. Most of Alcoa's star players were born and raised in Alcoa..... R. Cobb, Troy Hogde,B Warren, D. Lindsey, Rae Sykes, J. Rainer, M.George, T. Garner, Billy Williams, Shannon Mitchell, Al Davis Sr and Jr., Willie Lundy, Etc.......... All these Players were born and raised in ALCOA!! The only players I can think of that transferred in were k. Lanxter, Sommers, and Shivy. The athletes have always been in blount co., we just werent winning championships.
  9. I heard someone talking about that tonight. I didn't wanna believe it, but that's what's going around. I they don't know about WB,but I know the talk was about Alcoa/Maryville. They wouldn't lose a single game!! EVER!!
  10. Cobb said he probably won't play this week, so I'm gonna go to the biggest game in the county, wb/Maryville. I think this could be a shootout!
  11. You know what? No coach would have covered this up and I love Alcoa and everything but some times I get sick of hearing Some fans Bash SM. No one was saying that when he led us to a PERFECT 15-0 SEASON! That team seemed to be well disiplined on and off the field in my opinion. We loved SM when he was with us, don't hate on him now!Alcoa by 35
  12. I agree with you on this, but I'd add Johnatan Meschendorf, Willy Lundy, Tremayne Garner, and I know there's a few more, but Messy was probably one of, if not, the best safety I've ever seen at Alcoa!
  13. Heard from a great source that Alco's best DB was kicked out of school and off the team for the rest of the season for reasons I won't get into. Someone help me out on this one, is it true? and how long is he out?? How bad will this hurt Alcoa if he is gone for the year???
  14. I would agree with you on most of this post. Alcoa may not be the best team in the nation, but are there 50 other teams as of right now producing D1 athletes like Alcoa! National rankings aren't just based on winning, but Alcoa seems to know how to do that pretty well too! They are in the top 50 in my opinion, but that's just me! They had to put Maryville in the top 25! Any team with a record like they have deserve to be in it. Congrats Rebs!
  15. Now that's a TRUE FAN! Good luck to yall the rest of the season
  16. So Cheatham Co. is your team?? Well you bring them down to Blount Co. and see how close that game would be!! All I'm saying is that Alcoa can play with 5a teams and that we probably gave Marvyville their toughest game all year! Does your team play Maryville?? They'd probably score 70 on them huh? Alcoa is one of the top 5 teams in the state and that's all I have to say. See you in the Boro in a few months!
  17. Well the bottom line is Alcoa/Maryville is a rivalry!! If you're not from da county then you just wouldn't understand!
  18. Were u even at the alcoa/maryville game?? 42-14 is a bad score, but trust me that game was better than that score shows and you can ask any Maryville fan about that!! I gurantee that Alcoa will be Maryvilles toughest opponent this year!! And stop adding OR in there. I'm willing to bet that Alcoa could beat OR 9 out of 10 games!! and many other 5a teams!!!!
  19. I watched the game from last year on dvd and BTW will have the longest ride home!! Alcoa 49-14!! Could be worse though!
  20. That 42-14 was alot closer than that score looks and I'm not just saying that cause I'm an Alcoa fan. And I'm willing to bet that Alcoa could play with OR and many other teams in 5a. In my opinion 4A is a tougher division, but that's just my opinion. Oh yeah william blount and heritage is 5a, and we beat them, and I'm pretty sure alcoa beats up on OR in every scrimmage. I wouldn't say the athletes are just as equal either....... 2 at Kentucky,2 Tn, FSU, USC, and these six are just from the last 2 yrs. Not too many teams in Tn are producing D1s like that. Don't get it twisted now, Maryille is the best team in tn hands down, but I think Alcoa is in the top 5!!!
  21. Sounds pretty dumb to me. No offense to the WH fans but that teams wouldn't make it in our region and I think our region is pretty sorry! WH did have some speed at da skilled postions, but from what I saw they didn't know how to read their blocks or make anyone miss. If they could have made a move then they could have broke a few long runs on Alcoa. Alcoa could have scored 90 on WH,but Rankin is a classy coach and would never do that.
  22. Good job Govs! Have faith in Meadows and he will take you to the promise land! Trust me I know!
  23. I'm not really a wb fan, but I'm a Meadows fan and I'm comin to see what my old coach can do. Good luck to WB!
