  2. McKenzie played in a jamboree type game at Crockett county against Bolivar, Lexington, and Crockett County. McKenzie went 2-1 beating bolivar 7-0, Crockett County 10-7, and losing to lexington 14-7.
  3. Yes i understand...but...if the lines succeed and the defense comes through...can they be a stunning force?
  4. bump...Duckman...where you at brotha?
  5. What do you guys think about this possible "deadly" combination?
  6. bump bump...lets get this back started guys
  7. Hey rebel fans! sorry i've been gone for so long, just haven't had time to throw in some posts. As far as information, just makin sure that all you rebel fans knew about www.mckenzierebels.com Jim Steele does a very good job at covering ALL mckenzie athletics but he really does an exceptional job with the football pics. If you haven't checked it out, then check it out! thumb
  8. How has McKenzie been doing in the passin league scrimmages? I haven't gotten a chance to make any. I heard that they were scorching teams on offense but just thought i would ask to clear things up.
  9. It feels good to be back on the boards at coacht. When I get back on the boards that means one thing....It's Football Time In Tennessee. First i would just like to say that I believe McKenzie will surprise many of the hometown fans who dog every mckenzie year simply because their son was somebody who tried to be somebody in a horrible year of 2-8 or 3-7. The leadership of this mckenzie team is so much in contrast of the horrible leadership they had last year. There is NO complaining on the field from the time they step out until they step back in. This is the first year they have had captains on the team since the last visit to the TSSAA Semi-Finals. They have two captains with hearts of gold and pride of steel in Hayes and Pruitt, they two leading players returning from last years season. As far the offensive and defensive line...we'll have to see when we get there. But if you ask me, i think the big hog-molley's will show some toughness and heart up there in the trenches this year.
  10. yeah...ok Bobby im glad you were just such an AWESOME player and everything when you played back in "The Dark Ages", but i mean heck if you know so much, why don't you just c'mon down to the 50 and put you some headgear on and be the coach then? And as far as this Cody mess, he missed a whole week of practice because his leg got "frogged". I mean c'mon the faking ends somewhere.
  11. I'm not sure if his time is correct but Greg Pruitt of McKenzie runs a 4.4 i believe.
  12. I think that it is going to be a very fun game to watch. What does OC like to do this year i didn't go see them at the jamboree this year. OC and MHS have built up a fun first week rivalry if you ask me. Its always a good way to start the season between the two teams....Good Luck Rebels (haha which one?) I bet $200 to ANYONE that the Rebels win
  13. Tonight there was some very good football action down in the valley. McKenzie looked pretty good and looks as though they are going to hold their ground this year. The rebels had a touchdown that was taken away from the by a bonehead call from the refs. Also during the game a touchdown pass was dropped by one of the rebel receivers. Lexington was VERY lucky to escape with a jamboree Victory. Keep playin rebs because tonight was yours!!!
  14. I just have a few quick questions. I have been gone out of the state and I normally attend the Passing League games, how has my Rebels of McKenzie been looking? How are they receivers doing. I know my brother said that Camden football better not be shyed away this year. He said that Boyd and many others have beefed up and look ready to go. I am excited about this years football season like always, 2A football is the best there is!
  15. Just wondering who were some good sophomores in west tennessee. My vote would be Drew Hayes from McKenzie. Very good athlete.
  16. Did anyone go to the McKenzie vs Obion game? I didn't get a chance to go but I heard that McKenzie played an outstanding game and that their defense was very tuff.
  17. Yes that is very true. McKenzie is a tough environment to play football in especially when it comes playoff time. The Fencecrew back there is awesome...keep it up guys. I expect alot from McKenzie this year with their dominant defense showing through again. Wade Comer is an oustanding coach and keeps his players disciplined well. Keep it up Rebels and bring the prize home this year
  18. I think that this Friday nights game will be a classic battle between the best as the semis always are. I think both team are favored well and that both teams have the same amount of talent. Although as you look at Mitchel's games and their scores...they have beaten everyone before the 4th quarter. If McKenize holds Mitchel to the 4th quarter it will be a different ballgame because Mitchel doesn't know how to play a 4th quarter clutch ballgame like us rebels do. ROll ON REBELS!
  19. Who do you think has the better talent between them and David Lipscomb. I am at McKenzie so I don't know much about these east Tenn. Teams
  20. WHere is sweetwater at...and does anybody know how good of talent they got?
  21. Yes i know I guess alot of the emotioin the whole week of everyone talking trash on here got us all pumped up. We aren't really trying to brag we just had a ton of emotion that game. Lewis County thanks for making it a great game. We were honored to have you at Rebel Stadium. You had a great year and keep it up for next year.
  22. That's fine yall can think all you want to that regions 5 and 7 are the best. But just remember the west is the best considering everyone in 6-2A. Just remember the "Cardiac Kids" like being the Underdogs and i guarantee you if your team was in our region...they would definetly be behind us!
  23. haha yea laws...how bout Huntingdon. I could have swore that them mustangs were going all the way. I even heard they had a sign in their Locker Room saying "Where Is McKenzie Now?" Well i think it should say.."Where are them Mustangs Now!!??
  24. Slobberknocker i have to agree with you on that one. At the first of the year i am pretty sure i heard that the semifinal game was supposed to be Milan vs. Huntingdon. Well that whole time in the weight room and on the practice field a state champ team was in the making. Wade Comer never had a doubt in his mind believing that he could make it this far. With only 1 returner...Rick Mathis...I am very shocked that the Rebs are back in semis. Keep going Rebels. Wade keep up the good work. ROLL ON REBElS!!
  25. How many of you think Lewis Co. is a bunch or sore loosers. THEY should have beat us but they just don't understand what Region 6-2A football is all about. Next time you come here Lewis Co. Make sure the bus you are going to be unleash has a full tank of gas cause you obviously ran out Friday Night!!
