I think a year or two ago I read a study on this and the teams that lost to a team in the regular season did much better against the same teams in the playoffs. It's probably due to the winner taking the other team for granted.

You can't base anything on the Whitwell game. That is a rivlary game. SP got penalty after penalty for bad mouthing and etc. This will be entirely different. I assure you the qb can get it to him. But they really won't need too as they will go right through FC. As for the 8th grader better keep him off the field where he will stay safe. SP plays rough house football. They are better the second half than the first if they need to be.

I am not going to predict this one. I think it's about even. Comes down to who wants it the most. I do know this whoever wins will get the big test the next Friday night. I do think SP's defense is underestimated.

Getting run over makes a good team better next time. If more 1A and 2A played teams of that calibre, they would be the better for it. Playing teams year after year that are easy puts a good program into a permanent rut. Of course if they are region they have no choice. Even though I have always been for South Pittsburg and against Boyd when we played them. I have always admired them for not running from anyone. Next to SP, I am a Boyd fan, private on no.

Boyd by 9. Boyd has played teams that would run over SC like they wasn't there. Red Bank, Baylor etc. I think SC is way down from former years. TC beat them too easy.

I think Boyd will win this one. Of course I could be wrong. It's hard to predict winners after the first round.

SP 40 Watertown 12 A game with very few penalties. Watertown is a class act. Good sports, a fine bunch of guys that tried hard and played clean. It's a shame everyone can't be that way.

The score was SP 40 Watertown 12. It could have been SP 70 Watertown 0 if that's what SP had wanted. It's a shame TC will have to beat Gordonsville while SP takes care of Friendship. I would have liked to see Gordonsville get it from SP.
