SaintKnute, you really are one of the more ignorant people that have posted on these boards. You really need to stop attacking people out of rage that your Trojans have lost to Dyer County in all sports.

Tonight will be a tough game for both teams. I agree with everyone when they say that Dyersburg are out to win this one tonight and that they play very hard against the DC squad. However, I do think that the Dyer County boys will be too tough tonight to lose.

I have been predicting this for a while. I think that it will be a good game, but I think that DC has the edge again this time. They are just too good! but I give major props to Dyersburg for making it... I think it will be a good game!

I'm needing the site that broadcasts the District 13AA tournaments. I remember someone telling the site.

I think that a game between the two DC teams would be closer than most think. Powell's team would get tired from trying to run with the current team, but in the paint Cyrus the virus would be untouchable. I think the CJ would tear his brother to shreds on the defensive side of the game. Perry would be hard to stop as he usually was.

I totally agree with that. I can think of plenty of amazing talent on the court that couldn't go anywhere because of grades and other things.

How are his grades? I haven't heard anything about his academics, but I can tell that he is a good kid.

Do you think it makes you look cool or superior when you call people names? It really does not.. it just makes you look extremely ignorant and childish. I can see high schoolers saying the things you have said during this thread, but not someone that has had two kids go through high school. Now that that's said.. nice post jw

There are some people that have posted in this thread that are prime examples as to why the Dyersburg athletic system are disliked by DC and other local schools. Kojak, you say you have kids that have played sport at Dyersburg so I'm guessing that means you are older than 16, and yet you still do the name calling.

I don't know who declined what and I really don't care. Is it really worth the risk of injury on either team right before the tournaments? Ego is not worth it. I would like to see this game played to settle all of the trash talking from both sides, but it's just not worth it. I haven't seen Union City play but I have heard lots of good things about them. I HAVE seen Dyer County play and it would be a tough game for anyone that plays them. Even though I have heard so many great things about UC's group of talent, I would not trade coach Mccords boys for any team in the state. The way those kids come together as a team and work as hard as they do is unbelievable.

I agree because I was sitting near the student section and every time I would look over there would be someone sitting behind them yelling at them to sit down. They had the ribbons going up the stairs for a reason. If you want to get a good seat, get to the game earlier. Let the student section do what they would like to do. As for the game, it was a great one! The dunk from Kimble was the best (aside from Powell's 360 he did years ago) I have ever seen in high school basketball and it really turned the game around for the choctaws. Maybe Dyer County will finally get the respect that they have deserved for a while now from Dyersburg.

Are you talking about Dyersburgs extremely biased State Gazzette? That writer does nothing but make excuses for why the Trojans lose and why the Choctaws win.

Don't even use the "Dyer County has no class" or the "Dyer County's kids are thugs"... Take a minute and think about what all of the things that the Dyersburg fans have done in the past.

Wow.. I haven't posted on this forum in a long time but after reading your incorrect post, I felt I needed too. First of all.. you obviously didn't see the Dyersburg student section.. They jumped down on the court throwing up hateful hand gestures and other things while the Dc section stayed where they are supposed too (while fully supporting the winning team) and stayed out of trouble. Secondly... Ray Charles could have seen the elbows being thrown by Mclin throughout the night (but that does not mean that the player from DC should have acted the way he did). I got a forwarded text message last night that was obviously stated by a fan of Dyersburg that was a sore loser that was very inappropriate and should have never been sent.. but I will not repeat what was said on the message on here in fear of a ban. Good day

That is exactly what I was thinking. Hunter plays with so much heart, and played as hard as he possibly could throughout the whole game. He was making some defenders look pretty stupid when he got the ball. #10dad, make sure you congratulate you son for me and all of the other fans. Aside from him, the whole team was looking really good. Good luck for the rest of the season to both teams. Go Choctaws!

I think that Bolivar team when Kemp and Chism were seniors would have a very good chance of beating them. Dyer County's team that consisted of Perry Powell, Cyrus Johnson, Montrelle Crittendon, Brian Fisk, and John Morris would have been tough competition for them too.

I haven't seen any other juniors from other teams play any this year, but I have seen Justin Blake play and that kid is good.

I am hoping to make it for some of the games and support the Choctaws!

I got to see the Siegel student section a couple of years ago when I went to watch the State Tourny, and I have to say that that was the greatest student section that I have ever seen in my life! They reminded me of the Dukies at home. I haven't seen them this year though so I don't know about their section now. Dyer County has a really loud and ruthless student section also. Dyer County has the best fans(students, alum, parents, and general fans) by far though. You can bet your money that in the boro it will be nothing but orange and white!

As Madii said, they got into foul trouble in that game. If you think there were several teams better than Dyer County was that year, you are crazy. Nice to see things haven't changed since my last time on this site.

What are your predictions? I say Northside by 15.
