  1. This was one great game. I was very much impressed with B.Wright, he is such a complete player as a sophmore it's scary. I'm a GC fan but I have to say, Wright is the more complete player than Tyler. I don't know how many blocks Wright had but it was a BUNCH.... I would also like to know his FG%, he didn't miss many shots at all, and he shot a lot. Not taking anything away from Tyler, he is certainly a force and a special talent and is ranked among the tops in the nation and should be. Afterall, he scored 30 in less than 3 quarters. Thanks to all the Brentwood fans that came down, it was good to see such a large crowd. Refs were terrible, clock was operated terrible but the game was great. It could have went either way and it wouldnt have mattered to me. I got what I came for regardless.
  2. Giles will win by 15-20 points Good luck Fulton, hope yall are ready.......
  3. So what if Adamsville beat a few good teams during the regular season ? They always do that but Choke in the big games. I agree, it's time for a change in Atown, let's quit settling for a winning season and win a state title.
  4. I agree..... Murphy center is the most central location and I hope it stays there.
  5. Yes, the buzzer went off right after he released the ball.
  6. The refs arent supposed to LOOK at the clock, they simply listen for the buzzer. If you are going to blame someone, blame the clock/buzzer operator. The clock doesnt start until the player touches the ball. He turned, dribbled and shot and YEA in 1.1 seconds. There should have actually been close to 2 seconds left but then you would say there was no way he could have done that either. Face it, Boliver lost the game and you should swallow the loss like a man. Look out Murfreesboro, here come the CATS !
  7. Boliver by no means dominated the game. If so, they would not have only had a 2 point lead with 1.1 secs to go. They did dominate the boards but that is only one aspect of the game and Giles County made the shots when they needed them most. As mentioned in the above thread, it was sad to see either team have to walk away from this one with a loss. It was a very emotional game and I seen several of the Boliver fans and cheerleaders actually crying after the game. Very emotional atmosphere both on and off the court. Congratualtions to the Bobcats for playing they're hearts out and never giving up. I waited two hours outside in line and it was worth every minute of it.
  8. Cheatham County played a very tough first quarter and was only down by 13 at half I think. They have nothing to be ashamed of, they were simply outmatched in every position but still played hard right down to the end. They had a nice crowd that made the long trip with them and supported they're team right down to the buzzer too. Congratulations to the Bobcats, I hope they continue to soar !
  9. Tyler Smith and Giles County are the real deal. How many AAA teams does GCHS have to beat to prove it ? When it's all said and done and the smoke clears, the banner will be hanging in the high school gym to prove it. Play hard......
  10. Yea, the Fairview bunch is a lil discouraged because they didn't have it this year. It wouldn't have mattered though, Giles County is as good as they wanna be. Come see us in Murfreesboro.
  11. Lewis Countians..... come on. You can't possibly think you shut down Tyler Smith. Was it not obvious that holt wanted to put him out on the wing and make the other players step up ? At ANY time during the first half we could have dropped Tyler down low and he would have scored at will. This was simply an experimental game on the coaches behalf and what better team to experiment on than Lewis County ? It was quite obvious to me that Tuesdays game plan was carried out. And yea, Tyler is still learning, still growing as a player. Afterall he is only a sophmore. This team and this game particularly was not all about Tyler. They're learning, growing as a team and since week 3 I have seen an unbelievable turn for the better. I didn't understand though why Tyler was still in the game with 3 mintues left. All I can figure is like you said, Holt wanted him to keep his stats up, I dunno. Whatever the reason, I don't agree with it.
  12. How did Tyler Smith play ? If anyone finds a direct weblink to box scores ect please post it.
  13. This is all I have. Information supplied to WKSR by e-mail shows that Giles County was a 60-47 winner over Maplewood High School. Maplewood, ranked #2 in AAA, had only one loss prior to last night's loss to the Bobcats and that was to Columbia. Columbia also lost yesterday to Blackman in the Father Ryan Classic
  14. Giles County played an awesome game Saturday night but I didn't see the crowd being a factor at all. Giles County was just too fast and played well for 4 entire quarters with 5 of they're players posting double digits. I looked up Western KY and found that they were only 3-3 coming into the game and didn't see them ranked anywhere in the state muchless in the nation. I think all of that was crap because they just aren't a very good team. If they are nationally ranked, Giles County should be globally ranked ! Go cats.....
