i think MHS is gonna bring the heat this game. other players besides brewer need to step up and make some shots. saxe needs to be on fire from 3 point land and needs to be big inside as usual. a good rotation with jenkins being in a lot will be an advantage for us. i think MHS wins this one by at least 10 at home, though it will be a good game as always seeing as how they are cross town rivals

i liked this game a lot, mainly because we won, but it was a good game. i like offensive showdowns not defenseive. offense is more exciting to me, so im gonna have to go with somedude and say that the 2002 Maryville / Hillsboro game was the most exciting i have seen. lots of offense and trick plays, i loved it.

you are forgetting something about them running the option gerry. you have to have a line to do that, and melrose's line just wouldnt be able to cut it.

melrose may deserve the ball but they wont be recieving one this year. i never said that they didnt deserve it, and i never said that we smoked them westtn. our program looks absolutely fantastic even with my talk, our coaches and our players are a class act, but im not one of those coaches or players so im free to discuss my opinion freely. melrose did give out more licks, but we won overall. i disagree with the fact that we didnt outplay them. we drove the ball on them very well, and we were close to the goal line many times but came up short on fourth down. we did a great job moving the ball all night long. they didnt have many red zone opportunities all night long. i can remember maybe three or four times that they were in the red zone, and they only capitalized once, but we only capitalized once as well. we had more opportunities than they did though. they punted several times, we punted three times. we definately outcoached them.

i couldnt agree more somedude. ive seen that gold ball in the air from on the field and in the stands, and i held the trophy this year, that is probably the greatest memory ill have of high school, holding the golden ball as a senior. well melrose you just couldnt get the job done. matt valentine and gary tucker ate your lunch all day long and just think, they'll be back next year! but you wont, so it doesnt matter... westtn2004state, i think you might be jealous because west tennessee didnt bring home a golden ball this year, its ok maybe you will get one next year but probably not. and yes he is serious, deal with it.

congratulations to all the teams in this area. all of you played like the true champions you are. look forward to seeing it all happen again next year. moyers its sad to see you put up your last post man, you have fun sittin around doing nothing all day long. and moyers thanks for all the free food man, you sure did make it easy on my wallet this football season. what an absolutely amazing game. i thought i was going to die in the student section. their defense was all it was hyped up to be, those guys came to play yesterday and they brought all they had. those guys had tremendous speed and they hit you like a MACK truck. i was extremely impressed with the defense. our offense didnt play too fantastic against this team. their defense was good but Cade was just a little off last night. he made some good passes but also some careless ones, but hey, we will take it as long as it gives us the W. melrose played a great game and good luck to them next season. and Maryville Rebels....thanks for the best season a senior could ask for. 15-0 STATE CHAMPIONS BABY!!!!

well boys,4 o clock is departure time for me heading down the the boro. i gotta go watch the boys from across town play and then spend the night with some friends of mine over at MTSU. i think this game is shaping up to be a great one. i think the two best teams are playing, but for sure the best team will win, and that WILL be Maryville. Our pep rally today was insane. these kids are fired up and ready to play some football. all i have to say to melrose is im sorry....im sorry you are subjecting your boys to the beating they are going to recieve tomorrow night, its not even gonna be funny. you better hope the ride down is the best ride of your life because the ride home is not gonna be so pleasant.

haha that was a good one moyers, somedude i got the book right here, act one scene one first 4 lines of the book man, open your eyes. My favorites are, "A sailors wife had chestnuts in her lap..." so random yet hilarious. and of course, tog's favorite, " I come, graymalkin." im gonna have a cat named graymalkin one day, and its gonna be the coolest cat on the planet. you can bring the pittsburgh steelers in here and it wouldnt matter, when Maryville's offense is on, its on, no questoins about it. the game just depends on how cade is throwing the ball that night, and it is usually pretty darn good as you can tell from his recent Mr. Football victory. cade is important but our bread and butter is the run. we have four great backs that can come in and dominate at any time, good luck stopping all of them melrose, they each have a different running style.
