  1. I say let the games begin. Because everyone in the tournament starts out with a zero record what you did during the season doesn't mean one thing now. What about all those teams in the NCAA tournament. Loose one game and you are going home to have to wate for next season. It is time to either put up or shut up!!!!!
  2. Gibson Co. has played a weak schedule from what I have seen. What is the use of going unbeaten if you can't win the big games. In the tournaments everyone starts out with a record of zero because it is a new season when tournament time rolls around. All the teams such as McMinn Central, Livingston, and Jackson Co. knows what it is like playing in the state tournament their is a lot of pressure. Ask a college team for example the UCONN's, Lady Vols, Duke etc when you get to the big show anyone can and often does knock you off.
  3. was wondering if a person will be able to receive the broadcast over the internet of the state tournament like it was last year. Would be nice to have it on tv I noticed that Georgia has their state tourments on CSS thanks for your time.
  4. The best coach should be Mr. Armstrong from McMinn Central in men and Mr. Morgan at Central for the girls teams. Neither one was suppose to be in the substate rounds and McMinn Central has already heading to the state in girls play. Good luck Chargers
  5. Way to go McMinn Central. You have had a great season. You represent the 5AA district well. Good luck in the state tour. I think you have a real shot at winning the whole thing. And to Jackson Co. a great run also. Both teams played their hearts out.
  6. I think that McMinn Central has the edge playing at home is worth a lot. Plus they have one of the best coaches in girls basketball. Good luck to coach Morgan. They always find away to win they showed Walker Valley they are for real in the regional tournament. Central by 15
  7. I want to wish good luck to the Hiwassee Lady Tigers. I know you will do well. And also to the Hiwassee boys team.
  8. Vols really out played KY. Tubby needs to go. Ky needs to bring back Rick P. but the only thing that counts is the NCAA toun. anyway.
  9. I think you will see a shot clock in high school soon. It would get kids ready to play college type ball. I would like to see what people think about that. AAU already has a shot clock. I know it would be something else to train somebody to operate the clock. I know it would be great to have in girls basketball I know of one coach that if he gets a lead he will stall the basketball people don't pay to get in to a game just to watch someone dribble the ball all the time.
  10. I think that Tellico will have something to say about the county. And as always McMinn Central is still the team to have to beat in the district. Tellico is loaded this year and Seq. High School is a good team also. I know in girls play McMinn Central still has the team to beat.
  11. I have heard that Andy Pennington has taken a job at a local bank and that Sweetwater hasn't got a coach. I have heard they have offered the job to Brian Trammell which is the girls coach at Madisonville Jr. High. And some of the basketball players are wanting to transfer to other schools.
  12. If Sequoyah takes care of business they should win this game. But they can't make any mistakes. It would be nice to see more in the paper on other schools other than Sweetwater. Go Cheifs Cheifs 21 Sweetwater 14
  13. I know it is early to be talking about basketball but I was wondering what people thought about them putting a shot clock in for high school basketball. I think it will be a good idea to get players use to it before they get in college.
