Yes, Greenbrier held Crockett to 13 points. However, when you take away the top two scorers from any team (Williams and Ingram), you should hold a team to a low score. Congrats to GB on beating Crockett, but Covington's star players will be healthy, and barring injury, Covington will prevail. Good luck to both teams this Friday!!

Congrats to Greenbrier on the victory!! Good luck with Covingtonand if the past is any indication, GB should go on to be state champs this year. I just wanted to say that in no way whatsoever did Greenbrier "roll" Crockett. It took absolutely everything GB had to pull off the upset in a great game. It was obvious to everyone there who was the better team. Crockett Co. was the better team overall, but GB was the better team on this particular Friday night. Sadly, Friday night was what counted, but congrats from a Cavalier fan to the GB Bobcats. I would just like to add that after watching Williams from Crockett all year, Earnest Williams is definitely superior to GB's Herndon. Herndon is a great player, but Williams is just better, IMO. Again, Crockett was not "rolled" by Greenbrier. In fact, Crockett had two chances late in 4th to make a winning drive, but the Cavs shot themselves in the foot with two fumbles. Great game to both teams, very hard-hitting, exciting game. Congrats to Greenbrier!! Thanks to the Crockett guys for the tailgating!! Great job Cavaliers, WE ARE PROUD!!!!

CoachSTSmith, Yes, Crockett County runs the I-Form quite a bit and is very successful with it. Actually, the first time I saw the Cavs run out of the I-Form was against Lexington, and Williams took it 50+ yards to the endzone as the first half expired. I have also seen Crockett split out a receiver and pass it from the I-Form. Crockett's play calling has definitely evolved quite a bit over the last 5 years as they keep getting more and more creative. As a former Cavalier myself, I remember that creative playcalling starting with you, Coach Smith!! Best of luck to you and I hope I have answered your question.

Congrats to #2 Crockett Co. for the big win and to #4 South Side for a great effort. However, I don't think the final score 23-13 was reflective of how much Crockett Co. dominated the game. Earnest Williams did not disappoint, as he had 3 touchdown runs in the first half. Williams doesn't have to live up to the hype, because there is no hype, it is all truth. Earnest Williams is one of the best all around football players to come through West TN in a long time. Halftime score was 23-0 in Cavs favor. Good job to South Side for stepping up somewhat in the second half with a comeback attempt. Both teams played extremely well, and I look forward to seeing both teams in the playoffs. BIG ATTENDANCE AT THE GAME TONIGHT!!! Here is the burning question, Should Crockett County be ranked #1 when the new polls come out?
