I am a ref, so let me chime in on the subject..........I have been in the officiating business for several years and am still learning...and believe me I am not perfect. The problem in the officating arena is that some of these kids getting in to it think they immediately are as good as everyone else. They are learning that from a FEW refs that call every game with a chip on their shoulder. I believe that the problem lies with the TSSAA and their supervision system. There is such a shortage of good refs that anyone with a whistle can be one and that has really began to show in the pool of available officials. The supervisor's have no power.....sure they can keep the guys out of the post season, but that is not enough........fans are a problem too, but as an official you MUST ignore comments from the fans......just my opinion.

Jonathan would do a great job and so would Chandler, but the real question is who would want to work in a place where band takes priority over anything. Look what happened to their football coach....one of the best in the business is now selling insurance. Something is wrong with that picture. Bottom line is this.....they could hire Marty Sisco to coach the girls, but until the administration gets behind a coach and supports them, this job ranks at the bottom of district 13AA and west tennessee and any promising young coach should be very careful before accepting a job like this.

Wild will only look at a job if the talent level is high enough.....do you think it is high enough to get him there????

You should have enough class to respect what your coach tells you without questioning it........I bet your team is not very successful with your kind of attitude...

What gives with the posts???? Are you speaking of a particular situation??? If you are, I sure would be interested in what you are talking about since I am a Westview fan.

Nobody will fear Fuqua at 50%, which is the highest possible level she would come back at. They need her at 100%, which is not possible. Injuries are a part of the game and everybody should move on......

I will tell you what happened........Westview got whipped, plain and simple. Right now, they are not very good and have NO hope of making it to the state tournament. Chester County will be at the state tournament, by the way they played tonight I like their chances too. By the way of the grapevine, I hear both Fuqua and DeSantis are done for the year for Westview which makes them #3 in district 13AA and not much hope for making it beyond the region tournament.

No Memphis fans allowed.......

I don't seem to recall Westview celebrating like that after they beat GC last week......maybe I just don't remember. :confused:

Thanks for the laugh, I needed it......They aren't even the best in 13AA. They outplayed Westview tonight, no doubt about it, but don't let your success cloud your judgement. When it is all said and done, they don't have the horses to compete with the Jackson County's and McMinn's of the world..this year. After watching the game tonight, I am not sure anyone from 13AA can be successful in Murfreesboro. I hope I am wrong though......I hope you guys from OC live this one up, because it won't happen again this year.

I agree with you re: the assistant. I feel sorry for the guy. He has very little chance of success in this venture. If he wins, it was with Butch's kids. If he loses, then he is a bad coach. I hope the guy doesn't have his career judged by whatever happens this year.

That seems to be pretty backward considering the way Gibson County played. :confused: Cavin is a great kid and what you saw, I believe, was a kid who was ready to play and took it right to GC. Yes, you misinterpeted what you saw. Don't let the fact that GC got beat cloud your judgement, just appreciate the brand of basketball that was played last night. Both teams have legitimate shots at the 'Boro and I for one am pulling for both to meet in the state finals. (Westview winning of course)
