  1. According to the records on tbca.org, the record was 20. So saying that, with Minor throwing 21 it is a new State Record. Great job Mikie.
  2. Minor is scheduled to throw today, Skelley is scheduled for tomorrow.

Yes maam, The Rockets play in the Warrior Spring Classic Thurs. thru Sat. Thurs.- 5:00pm against Hunters Lane at Lavergne H.S. Fri.- 3:00pm against Cumberland Co. at Blackman H.S. Sat.- 9:30am against Clarksville at Blackman H.S. 5:00pm against Lebanon at Lebanon H.S. Winners from the 4 Pools play on Sun.
  5. To correct Vultor, there were 4 homeruns, 3 by Forrest 1 by Loretto. The ball was hit hard by both teams (real hard) and yes the wind was blowing out. Lamb hit 2 and Ryan Blake hit his first H.S. homerun which also happened to be a GrandSlam. I'm not sure who hit the dinger for Loretto.
  6. Hey Em, thankyou about Daniel. He is always a good sport. Now about the game, you were praising your team earlier on these write-ups so don't go bashing one of your pitchers because he got hit, Kevin Shorey doesn't deserve that. Yes Forrest hit the ball better than Marshall Co. but there were errors made that didn't help situation. I wrote on hear before the game was played that who ever hit the ball and made the least mistakes would win the game. That is exactly what happened, Period. Errors were made by both teams, plays that should have been made by both teams but when it's early in the season stuff like that happens. You learn from your mistakes and move on. As far as Pratt is concerned he hit the ball well, he had 3 hits by the way, is a good young man and he will have a great season as will the rest of the Forrest Rockets. I wish Marshall Co. nothing but the best the rest of the season. Good luck to both teams.
  7. It was 2-0 Forrest after 3 complete. Got called in the top of the fourth due to rain. Both Mikie and Seth were bringing it.
  8. Thankyou. Remember to always give it your best. Don't listen to the naysayers. My son's Daniel and Kris Albarran play for Forrest. Like I said before, you guys have a great bunch of kids there so have a great season and have lots of fun doing it.
  9. Hey Lady Rockets, best of luck today. Go Rockets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Huntland is far from horrible. They will compete, so you better not underestimate them. Good bunch of kids. Good luck this up coming season from Chapel Hill.
  11. Appreciate the apology. Thanks!
  12. Embaseball let me first say that your comment about the coach was uncalled for and I'll leave it at that. Forrest does play both Marshall Co. and Mt. Pleasant this year so our coach had the opportunity to watch both teams in a game setting(scrimmage), so why not take it. It was near by and he didn't have to travel far to see it. As far as the games played between both schools the last 2 yrs., Forrest beat Marshall Co. 2yrs ago and you beat us last year. I don't care who pitched, who played, what grade they were in a win is a win a lose is a lose, PERIOD!!!!!! Some of these comments like I said before are bush league. You know what we have and we know what you have. Kids get bigger, faster and stonger. Players can make strides and improve in a year if they work hard at it. So you go watch them play to see how they have improved. Like I said before I wish all the schools in our county well and that includes Cornersville too. I have coached kids there as well. Our small county has a lot of talented young men and young ladies and I wish nothing but the best for all.
  13. Both games should be good. They're happening earlier than I would have liked. I would have liked to see the games played later on in the season when both teams have played a few games. But, you can't always have what you like. Both teams have solid pitching, so like most games hitting and defense will usually decide it. So, saying all that whoever hits and plays defense well will win the game or games.
  14. Embaseball if you know anything about baseball, coaches always go out and look at opposing teams, its called scouting. Once again, this is a forum about baseball not about what a coach looks like.
  15. Hey 1rocket8, this embaseball is not worth it. Embaseball and this is to you, this is a baseball forum. This is not a forum to criticize someone's education. You should not be knocking a school if you have not gone there, PERIOD!!! It doesn't matter what school you go to, you get out of it whatever you put into your education. Minor is a great pitcher, but remember one thing no matter what the sport is it takes a team to win. Also, like someone else stated earlier, anytime you can go on to the next level to play ball is a great thing. It doesn't matter if it is Div I, II, III or Junior college. Everyone does not always get that opportunity, so when you get it appreciate it. This is Mr. Albarran( I'm not shy to use my name), I have coached players on both Forrest and I have coached players on the Marshall Co. team. Both schools have solid ballplayers, but like I stated earlier it takes a team to win. I always want both teams to do well, but some of this stuff is bush league. I wish both teams all the success for this coming season.

Forrest will have a great season. Peyton Pratt is a great addition to the team. They also have a strong nucleus of seniors. Along with Minor and Skelley you also have Jeremy Lamb, Daniel Albarran, Clayton Joyce, Ryan Blake and Josh Haman. Good luck boys and to the rest of the Forrest Rockets.
  17. "Congratulations!", Great job boy's. Great pitching from both Ben and Mikie. Way to hit Jeremy, like I said before lets keep it going.
  18. Thanks Dean. It was a lot of fun. It was definitely a great game. I got to hear the rest of the game on the radio. Those are the ones you hate to lose. Both Minor and King were great. Like I said, I had a lot of fun. Thank you for the opportunity to help call a game that both of my boy's played in, it was a moment that I will never forget. Sincerely, David Albarran
  19. Congratulations Boy's, I'm very proud of each and everyone of you. Congratulations to Daniel Albarran, Clayton Joyce, Jeremy Lamb, Ben Skelley and Mikie Minor (MVP both League and Tourney) for All-District Team. Let's try to keep it going.
  20. 11A- Forrest and either Huntland/Moore County

    Region 6

Forrest has a solid baseball team. Yes, Minor is a great pitcher and the future is bright for him but it takes a team to win, period. They have won 20+ games 2 yrs. in a row. You can't do that with one guy. Good luck to both District 11A and District 12A. May either District represent the Region to the best of their abilities.
  22. I'm glad to hear that he got released. I coached him in Babe Ruth. He's a good kid. I hope everything turns out to be okay.
  23. I was first listening to my son's (Chapel Hill) game on the radio while at work and kept the radio on for the Marshall Co. game. Dustin was ran over at a play at the plate. Does anyone know how he is doing?
  24. Forrest loses a tough game to Summertown in extra innings 9-4. A game they had the opportunity to win. I give Summertown a lot of credit, they were behind and never quit.
  25. Thankyou Mikie, Daniel and the rest of the Forrest Rockets. I have been around baseball along time and have never had the privilege to see a perfect game. Thanks once again, it was fun to watch.
