  1. You loose credibility when you make stuff up.
  2. Lost after a controversial call with 1.8 seconds left to play: http://www.clevelandbanner.com/view/full_story/24643723/article-Stunned-Raiders-see-season-end?
  3. none that I recall. Athens Association would have called twice as many and the Chattanooga Association would have called one or two. There was a time or two where I thought Cleveland was checking, however they tend to be quick about it rather have an "arm bar" like 5 used while dribbling down the court. Stepping on someone else's foot or even colliding feet does not necessity a tripping call. It requires an action on the defenders part to actively move their foot/leg in way to impede the offensive players progress. From my vantage point, it appeared 25 (when doing an almost out of control whirlwind with the ball) right foot slipped and then he stepped with his left foot on a defenders planted foot and continued to the ground (while maintain his dribble). Got a question back to you. How many tripping calls did you see all year? I am guess I only saw that call once every 8 or 9 games and usually it was when someone was hooked with a knee or hip. EDIT to add: several other calls were inconsistent through the game for both teams too.
  4. Wonky calls were made all game (on both teams). One ref whistled about 70% of the fouls, the same one blew the whistle at the end from near mid court (even though the ref under the basket was in better position to make the call). Don't forget that there was also a questionable foul called away from the ball on Cleveland during Stone's previous possession (leading to free throws for the lead, before Cleveland's runner to tie it back). With 1.8 seconds left in a tied game 1) whistle goes in the pocket 2) any foul called needs to obvious 3) any conferencing of a "foul" should be not be quick, if there is any doubt it should be a jump ball. None of my "rules" were followed. It was a shame such a great game was ended in that manner, particular to end the season. Overtime would have been fantastic to watch, as was the rest of the game. Good luck to Stone and Walker Valley.
  5. Nooga 9 from 12/19: http://www.nooga.com...the-nooga-nine/
  6. add the Cleveland '82 AA runner-up to Brentwood Academy in the rain.
  7. Halftime score was more indicitive of the game than final.
  8. Thanks for the great coverage. The only suggestion I would make would be to occansionally show the game clock (or flash the time at the header).
  9. oh the irony. Athens Association is horrible, but especially for the bears.
  10. But the students have spit on opposing team and yell racial slurs during warmups. And yes I have seen the student of Bradley storm the floor on multiple occasion both at home and on the road.
  11. oh the irony, Bradley being bitten by a "phantom" call.
  12. Wish I would have seen this before the games started. Day late and a dollar short
  13. The suburban fringe neighborhoods don't meet city code and will need to be brought into compliance before annexation (septic system switch to sewer, road width, fire hydrants etc). For numerous reason which all lead to high cost, the city is not looking at bringing in housing. Vacant lands for commercial purpose is the main thrust behind annexation. When a second middle school is built (currently projected at 10 years down the road), both middle schools will start hosting 9th graders, freeing up space for 350-400 more students at the recently expanded high school. There is still more room for expansion at the existing high school, plus adjacent lands available from M&M.
  14. Bradley County will build a third high school and middle school before the City of Cleveland will even consider a 2nd high school. While things are growing, the residential growth is in the county, not the city. Even with substantial future annexation looming in the horizon, there is still lots of room at the high school (to absorb future growth).
  15. Yup You're right for basketball, but for football they use the Athens Federation.
  16. only way Bradley has a chance is if they keep the score below 60.
  17. Been another year to learn, so anything new this year?
