  1. What defense beats it? It's not a gimick, but scheme,IMO. I think it will be easier to teach than a motion offense that realize on screeens (ie flex) or on cuts (Princeton). Very simplistic in nature but has lots of options especially coming out of stalled fast breaks.
  2. ESPN's article on DDM from last year: ESPN Link HERE
  3. What teams are running the Dribble-Drive-Motion (aka Memphis) offense this year? Is it the primary offense or just going to be used in certain situations? What situations? How do you stop the DDM? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  4. Citizen Herald Another article on the game
  5. Cleveland Daily Banner article on the game
  6. Cleveland is very physical but I think Cookeville has them beat on size (ie Cleveland is average sizewise). As far as Cleveland coming from behind, who knows, nobody has scored on them in 3 weeks.
  7. I assume this is 7 pm slow time (ie Central time zone). Should be a good game /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> Can Cookeville's receivers get open and hang onto the ball, as Cleveland has a hard hitting secondary? Can Cleveland's D-line pressure the Cookeville qb? Can Cookeville's D slow down the Cleveland offensive machine? Both teams will have big plays, so this one is coming down to turnovers. Who ever limits them will win, IMO.
  8. Siegelgrad, can we get some reasoning why siegel SHOULD win this? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  9. yeah as in shooters plural for rb, not shooter as in one for siegel. RB shooters can be very streaky though. I think White will win in close one.
  10. RB supposedly plays alot like Siegel although RB is smaller inside they have better outside shooters than Siegel. RB gym is the same size as Soddy-Daisy and East Ridge (give or take a few seats). It will be full but I highly doubt a sell out.
  11. Let's hear yours BBaller91. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  12. Nov 27 matchup Cleveland won, but it ended up counting as win for RedBank due to forfeit. Does anybody remember the score from this game? Dec 11 match up Red Bank won big (83-61).
  13. Well they split in regular season right? Both teams play good D, both teams run the floor well, both teams can light it up. I think Cleveland has the edge on D and shoots well on a more consistent basis, RB is a little to streak. Cleveland by 5
  14. Indian, Cleveland is in the city school system and zoned different, while Bradley and Walker Valley are in the county school system (I am not sure of there zoning). Yes a residence change did occur, transfer occured over the summer. Championship, role player, but Cleveland has lots of those as they play lots of numbers. Constanza, confirmed. Self-reported by coach to TSSAA. No newspaper article yet. EDIT to add newspaper link: http://www.clevelandbanner.com/NF/omf/dail...=0070222+cr=gdn and the second half of this article: http://www.clevelandbanner.com/NF/omf/dail...=0070221+cr=gdn /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  15. The rivalry is not new, it goes back to the mid/late 70's. Cleveland dominated the early years, more recently Bradley has dominated (not just Cleveland either). The article was a jab.
  16. Yeah I was wondering if the score was reversed, too.
  17. Any more thoughts now that the teams have had a couple of games under there belt? I am staying with my predictions.
  18. Hmm nobody going to respond. /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" /> My thoughts. /excl.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":excl:" border="0" alt="excl.gif" /> Short-term It is a good thing. It generates excitement for a sport that generally has low number of spectators. It introduces the sport to many more fans, including siblings and parents that might be future wrestlers. It raises funds, which are always in short supply. Long-term It is a bad thing. It creates a circus like atmostsphere, where it is more about entertainment, instead of sport (similar to tv wrestling). The young ladies should be on a team of some sort. Co-ed teams will have to work for the time, eventually all female teams will be fielded. Anybody else? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  19. I think McMinn might be able to split with Bradley in regular season, but I doubt they would get the win in the district tournament. However I have yet to see either play this year.
  20. Does having girls exhibition matches hurt or help wrestling in the long run? http://media.wtg.cc/tsherlin/jbvsat.wmv
  21. 1. Cleveland, yeah they are young but they are talented, alot depends on the maturity of the team, coaching is solid 2. WV, experience is the key 3. Bradley, down year by there standards, no transfers this year either 4. McMinn, good but not good enough 5. Rhea 6. Cumberland, still a doormat due to split w/ Stone The top 3 will be close and then 4 and 5 spots will be even closer. Link to media day coverage: http://www.clevelandbanner.com/NF/omf/dail...=0069309+cr=gdn
