I just came home and read this post again and cant see how in the world you would get that this team is .500 at best. This years offense looks to be the best offense weve ever seen in Tennessee. Steve and Coach Fisher alone are with 8 wins.

You guys have lost your mind!!! Average at wide reciever???? Derrick Mason, Drew Bennett, and Tyrone Calico are considered top 5 receiving coprs in the leauge. The unproven running back your speaking of is better than the old running back we cut. We have the regining MVP at QB, a offensive line that has been intact for 3 years now, a solid secondary that has been intact for 2, the best outside linebacker in the league, and one of the best coaching staffs in the leauge. I say we go 13-3.

Jamont is a 5 star prospect is and is the 5th ranked at his position on www.rivalshoops.com. Lets not compare Tyler Smith to Boomer Herndon just because they both chose to go to UT. Thats stupid. Two totally different players and two totally different positions.

The only prediction I have is that Jason Vanatta runs for over 200 yards.

If you doubt any one kid can come up with 3 sacks you havent seen Daniel Tiesler play. If Fairview can stop him, Dee Rucker, and Antiono Lewis the can win the game. Wich means they wont win. I'm glad to hear Fairviews defense is made to stop the run because Rucker is great passer. If you try to line up and stop the run HW will throw all over you and if you try to drop back and stop the pass they will run all over you. Looks like a lose lose situation.

Hillwood probably would drop 50 on DCA. I was at the scrimmage and it was not dominated by DCA. In a real game this is a no contest. DCA probably couldnt even play with Coloumbia.

Vandy, MTSU, and TSU are the front runners. UT and UA have also showed some interest. Daniel is a smart kid with a 3.7 GPA so he's taking a good look at VU.

I believe if Hillwoods speed rushing D-end and OT Daneil Tiesler still played for NCS they probably would have beat DCA. This dude is the real deal and NCS acted like there was no place on the team for him. He is now being heavily recruited by D1 schools. He had 4 sacks last night aginst coloumbia. Teams cant even run the ball to his side of the field. Ive seen him bust through double teams many of times. This is the kind of player that can turn around a whole defense. I bet NCS sure misses him.

I didnt make it out to this game but I heard NCS shot themselves in foot with bad field position and mental mistakes. NCS has a good chance to finish 3rd in the region but DCA and CPA are in a class of their own. In some 1A regions NCS could finish first but they play with the two best 1A teams in the state. I think NCS lack of depth really hurts them because most all players stay on the field the whole game never getting a break. DCA is big and talented but NCS shouldnt have lost by that much. Vanatta is a player and 8 out of 10 teams they play this year will have a hard time stoping him. If NCS dont let this game get them down and they turn it up a notch I see them with a 3rd place finish.

Good to hear HW got it together this week. If they can keep it up they will be very hard to beat.

I know one thing, this game could get ugly if Hillwood dont get it together. Hillwood made too many mental mistakes likes week. Too many dropped passes, bad thorws, missed tackles, missed blocks, and fumbles. Hillwood has the atheletes to go as far as they want, but I believe not having Coach Link out their calling plays is hurting them.

Nice predictions everyone. Too bad it was a blow out. Underestimation is a common problem in high school football.

Correction Deion ran a sub 4.2 40 in his prime. Deion is now returning to the NFL and he was clocked TODAY at 4.38 on grass at age 37. Dante Stallworth is probably the fastest guy in the league now he ran right at a 4.20 40. Falcons rookie CB DeAngelo Hall was clocked right at 4.20 at one of the NFL combines. Former Titan Chris Sanders ran a 4.18 40 coming out of Ohio state where he still holds the 100 meter record. Tyrone Calico ran a 4.29 40 at one of the combines which pushed him from a projected 5 round pick to a projected 1st or 2nd round pick. Coker is the real deal and is probably faster most players in the NFL. He has already proved he's the fastest guy in the state by winning the state championship as a junior. Coker definitly runs a 4.3 if not better.

This was a very sloppy win for Hillwood. Hillwood showed at times tonight that they could probably play with anyone and then other times it looked like anyone could beat them. Hillwood has some great talent but if they want to play with the big boys they need to keep thier composure and sow some consistency. Antonio Lewis looked pretty good as did Dee Rucker on the run. The passing game struggled due to in part to dropped passes and the rest were bad throws. I think it might have been a case of the first game jitters but HW has a chance to be very good if they get it together.

Smith looked sharp aginst Buffalo?? I'm not sure if we were watching the same game.

I cant wait for the regular season to see Chris Brown play a whole game. Calico looked very impressive as well. Its starting to look like we might see and offensive explosion this season.
