I am a soph and Coaster I understand what you are saying. I realize that high jump is my weaker event simply because i have no technique. I just jump and hit the bar with my butt everytime. Knowing that do any of you have any suggestions on how i can arc my back.

Station Camp in 8AA loses on senior and should be a force to be reckoned with. They have good talent and great coaching.

I recently had my first meet at Lavergne and did the long jump and triple jump along with the high jump. Long jump was 19'2''. Triple was 40'2'' and high jump was 5'6''. Can anyone help me out on how I did and how much better i need to do to get to state?

I know Zac Custer and play AAu with him and ill try to get the word to him by Saturday.... Question for you though...Have you even heard of Josh Jones from Station Camp hes a soph and averaged about 10 points and 10 rebounds this season. Just asking because he and TJ Bates will be attending the showcase along with Ryne Sexton an upcoming senior.

Didnt Shawn Marion come out of Clarksville??? I wouldnt go as far as to say he was better than Shawn but yes Cory is probably the top athlete in the state. I wish i could watch him play at the state tournament.

Does that end HHS' season??

I believe that Josh Jones of Station Camp will be attending...Kind of an underdog on his team i guess you could say but he has talent and heck be sure to show it all to you.

Once you find someone half as talented as Cory than you can take shots at him other than that keep your mouth shut because Cory owns almost everyone on the court in Tennessee. If not everyone.

Ill be pulling for HHS in this one because Glencliff has a cocky attitude I still think that GHS will be too much though with Gordon.

Today I tried the triple jump for the first time and the trainer guy i was with only let me take 3 steps for my start to get my technique down so I wasnt able to go full and i ended up with 35 feet or so. Whats the average in high school?

Im a guy and I did it at the end of practice. Its a lot harder than it looks. Any type of tips would be appreciated but also Peacemaker we did have a girl that got 17'6'' also and this was her first time. (She jumped from the girls' line). But thanks for your support and Ill let you know how im doin as the season progresses.

I jumped for the first time today in the long jump and ended up with 17'8''..is that decent for your first jump and how long does it take to really see what you can do.

Personally I was at the game also and both had times where the made each other look dumb on the offensive in. Alex I know there was one time where Corey almost fell and then hit a 3. Thats the only time I can remember that Johnny literally just blew past Corey. Then after that Corey drove the lane and if he wouldnt have been fouled would have dunked on about 5 people. I can see where both people are coming from but Im with Alex on one thing Johnny shouldve gotten it himself because he literally did everything for his team but hey you got an AllAmerican (which he is very deserving of) on the other team and when youve worked that hard to get an honor like that why shouldnt you get MVP cause youve got everybody else.

Station Camp travels pretty well. DLs Bomb Squad travels well also I remember them when i played against them. A lot of the 8AA teams travel pretty good.

b55: i meant that Brewer wouldnt have been so cold shooting. If you were at the game Brewer was just having one of those days nothing would fall for him. Johnny Lee was shooting lights out. Sorry for the misconception.

I think Doc should get an Oscar award for some of the things that he does.

I wouldnt say DL is cocky but they know they have talent on their team. I think it should be a good matchup and I might head back up to Portland to watch these game. Im goin with DL by 5.

Johnny Lee ran the show. He was the top player last night and shouldve been MVP himself although I think if Brewer wouldnt have been dazed for most of the second half from that nasty fall he wouldnt have been so cold.

Who all made the all dsitrict team???
