you're exactly right. The one silver lining to Loretto's poor 1st half vs Creekwood and Summertown in the District Championship. Need to face adversity to know how to handle it.

Mt Pleasant's rims aren't inviting to shooters. Outside of Summertown's 1st quarter against Loretto, I haven't seen any team shoot well there. Summertown's gonna need to feed Burdette more than normal. Which is something I feel they need to do anyways as Burdette is going to be a big key to any possible victory vs GC or WV, if they get past CC.

Westview by 23+, Gibson by 15+, Loretto by 30+, Summertown is harder to pick here... I think they win by 15+, but I could also see them winning in a more closely contested game.

Ok, much better than I thought. I could've sworn I saw low to mid 30's on a graphic somewhere for Miss Basketball, but have since been unable to find it. She's definitely a dynamic player!

She's great, scary she's just a Sophomore. Do you know anything about Jada's 3pt & fg %'s? She's exceptional with the ball in her hands, and great at driving to pass, but I haven't seen much success from her with scoring outside of layups and FT's.

Jay, she's better than she thinks she is. I've seen her be hesitant far too often. She can shoot, and she can finish when she drives! Tell her that if she's 1on1 with someone (other than Karly), take them to the dang hoop! I see her jumping up a lot between now and next year!

That was back when we couldn't miss from 3. Hit a cold spell the past couple games. Found out tonight that we're the highest scoring team in the state regardless of class. We've definitely lost some ground on that the past 3 games.

A lot of people had Blackman as their #1 team in the state. They just lost to Oakland, a team Loretto beat by 37, in their AAAA District Championship. Big win for Oakland! Also, Green Hill has now beat Lebanon & Cookeville in b2b games. Is this real life? lol

yep. Loretto couldn't make a 3 all night, but mid range and layups fell much more often in the 2nd half.

Thanks to some great defense & Summertown cooling off from deep, Loretto pulls it out 53-45.

26-20 Summertown at the half. Loretto still couldn't buy a bucket in the 2nd quarter. Their pressure D & offensive rebounds is the only reason Summertown isn't up big.

Lol, no relation. I'm pretty sure Karly has better stats in every offensive and defensive category, not just scoring. Karly is a much better shooter from mid range and deep, Karly is a better passer (possessing insane vision for a H.S. girl), Karly is a better defender, they are a wash on ability to drive to the basket and ball handling (I've seen Jada play about 10-11 times since she has been in H.S., based on those games I've seen, it isn't that close). Never said our number 2 is above Jada, just said our number 2 will be the 3rd best on the court. Best of Luck to WV as well. Just because we disagree doesn't mean I dislike you or your program.

elaborate on this stance. Ppg, assists, fg% and 3pt% of WV's role players. We could look at Steals & Blocks too while we're at it. I find it hard to believe WV has 8 shooters as good as Loretto's top 8. Jada is great, but she'd be the 2nd best player on the court against Loretto. And based on the 3 times I've seen WV play this year, the 3rd best player would also be from Loretto. You must have only seen the Creekwood game. Outside of two games this year, we have 7-8 girls contributing across the board. I could definitely see WV being the favorite right now with how they've played against Gibson Co, but if any of you truly think Loretto is "easily a step below WV", I would encourage you to watch more film on Loretto. If Loretto travels to WV, or Summertown travels to WV, WV will have their hands full. If WV has any sort of an off game from 3 against Summertown, they could definitely miss out on State. I just don't understand why Wilkins didn't play Zone after seeing how the last game at WV played out. Best of luck to everyone & well wishes for a playoff season without injuries!
