Courtney English has to be in the group of the best lead-off hitters in te state. He has came back from basketball and tried to give a struggling Columbia team a little fire! He is very quick,is a hard batter to strike out, and does what it takes to get the job done!

Columbia is having a hard time right now! They won last night,but fell short today 3-2. They did however get back starting centerfielder and lead-off batter Courtney English after they lost to state champs White Station last night. Courtney had a pretty good game and made some really good plays in the field. His leadership and will to win should help bring Columbia out of the land slide they are in! Look for them to get on a role and play like they know they can!

The game didnt matter. IT OVER, DONE WITH, FINISHED! Go to the state and play your butts off and win! But, Columbia ain't going to say anything about one of the refs having a son on the team. Columbia used that SCRIMMAGE to run up and down a college court to get ready for the state! I REPEAT, ITS OVER!!!!!!!! MOVE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well,the game is less than 24 hours away and it is either put up or shut up! I guess tomorrow will show everybody who thinks Columbia is not that good what they are made of. PanterGam,how can you seat there,at home with no team in the state I might add,and say Columbia is not that good. You should have beat them but you didn't. I guess yall should be in the state,but yall ain't! You can't say that Columbia is not that good when they were ranked 5th in the state,2nd in the mid-state,and has 30 wins. Columbia has to be a little good if they are in the state tournment. If Columbia plays like they did againist Maplewood,they should do just fine. They beat Maplewood who is not in the state this year! Play your ball Columbia no matter what those haters have to say. Most people didn't think you were going to make it out the region nevertheless the sub-state. The ball is in yall hand,show them whats up!!!!!! Good Luck Lions!

My pick will be Columbia in this game. The boys are to focus and have there mine set on bring home the stse championship. They have good leadership with there five seniors who are not going to let there season end without a bang. If Columbia comes out and play run-n-gun basketball and have good intense defense, they will come out with the win. This should be a very exciting game!

Courtney English and Ahmir Watkins are the 2 of the best outfielders in the state. They both have blazing speed and will go all out to make the play that you think they won't make. They both can swing it as well. Ahmir is more of gap hitter while Courtney can flash a little bit of power. Iwould take both of theses young men to be the lead-off/centerfielder for me any day! Well,Columbia has dropped 3 games this week. It is hard to beat 3 top ten teams when you are without your #1and#2 pitchers,starting shortstop and centerfielder. Looking at the scores,I would have to say that there weakness as of right now would have to be there pitching,but whose wouldn't be without your 2 aces! Give Columbia about 2 weeks to get everybody back and healthy, and then you will see what Columbia is really made of! Good Luck Lions!

Columbia has had to play 3 of the top ten teams in the state without starting centerfielder,and lead-off man Courtney English, starting shortstop,3 hold hitter,and #2 pitcher Bobby Bratton, and there big gun off the hill and TN Tech signee Zach Gray. English will be back sometime next week once the State Tournament is over,I think Zack has another week before he comes back,and Bobby is playing,buthe wont be back to full speed for another 2 weeks. Look for Columbia to make one of there postseason runs again this year,but they are going to need everyone to get over that region finals hump that has always been in there way.

My picks are: Glies Co. in the AA Columbia in the AAA It is going to be some very good basketball games played next week and i think theses two will bring home the gold if they play like theyy have played lately. HARD WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant believe that some people think that Columbia cant beat H'ville. Columbia has been playing good lately and they are not going out in the first round. They are to focus and working to hard to go down that early. They are going to overlooking them,they will take it one game at a time. Columbia likes being in the underdog role,because they have been picked to get beat in there last 3 or 4 games and they have came out on top. Columbia Central is on there way to the state with a 62-58 win over Cleveland! The boys played hard and did what they had to do to come out on top. Keep holding it down Columbia and good luck in the state! HARD WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theses is going to be a very exciting game game to witness. Theses two teams play just alike,they like to run and gun. Columbia's Seniors and Juniors still have that let down againist Red Bank in the Sub-State 2 years ago stunck in there mind real well and are not going to let it happen again. David Price is the best lefty in the state and at least in the top 3 or 4 in the state period. He is a very over powering pitcher.

I would not mind playing for Hargrove,Pickle, or King. They are all great coaches with a huge will to win!

Lets all sit here and think about this match-up, Mt.Pleasant vs. Columbia. For anybody who thinks that wood be a game needs to go to the doctor right now. Columbia doesnt want to waist there time playing a 1A school that aint ranked in the top 10 in the state never the least top 2 or 3 in there district.
