I think East can finish 8-2 but they must play well in order to finish strong. If East can win the last four games East will be a 2 seed going into the playoffs and would be in a easier bracket in the playoffs. Region 1 is down this year and I feel that if East takes care of business the rest of the way they have the possibility to win two or three games in the playoffs. I would love to see East and West play again. As I said before East must take care of Cherokee first and take it week by week. The key to winning on Friday is to stop Chris West from Cherokee. He is a horse but it seems that his stats are not as good as last year. If east stops Chris West, Cherokee will be lucky to have 200 yards of total offense. East needs to stop getting so many penalities in order to win out. Good luck Hurricanes

I agree with the last statement made. East has to put this loss behind them and continue with the next game. The bottom line is that if East wins its final four games they will finish second in the conference and be a 2 seed going into the playoffs against a very weak region 1. Take care of business one game at a time starting with Cherokee and finish strong. I feel that East is better than Cherokee, Volunteer, and Crockett with Greenville and East being pretty even. I hope the Canes realize that the West game is only only game and it does not kill your season. Continue to get better and dominate the rest of your opponents

To correct the totals for #35 for East High he already has 11 sacks with #48 having 6 sacks. As a team East has 21 sacks

Good luck on the rest of the season and the reason I felt east would have scored was Francisco already had 170 yards and would have gained more if given the opportunity. The game is over and good luck in your run towards the playoffs

speedmerchant 12 I am glad to see you making posts again. I recall you making a prediction that #30 would run for at least 200 yards against East. Did he even get 25 yards I don't think so. As for the play calling I agree with the call your on the road and have the opportunity to win the game. If Carter would have gotten the two point conversion East would have went down and scored in the final 3 minutes because you had not stopped #31 all night long and he would have run East into field goal range. Francisco is one of the best backs in East Tennessee. Good luck the rest of the season

Charvez Francisco from Morristown East. He already has 750 yards and 10 touchdowns after 5 games. He is an animal. I also think Cassen Jackson is an excellent running back. Numbers are very similar

East plays West this week and this game is going to be a great one. West has had the advantage of the past 6 years but if you look at the past, this series always goes in cycles. Before West won the last six East won the 6 before. I think the overall series is West 16 East 14 over thirty years. What are some of your predictions regarding this game

SpeedMerchant 12 you had all this hype about 30 running for 200 yards against Morristown East but he is lucky if he broke 50 yards rushing against a very stingy defense against the run tonight. East made Carter a one dimensional team tonight and it paid in the final quarter as Carter totally abadoned the run. I still think Carter is a good team and I hope they finish strong but please speedmerchant don't write a check you ###### can't cover regarding number 30

Why are you dogging a team for who they play? Before you talk about not ever playing anyone maybe you should check the schedule that East has played over the past three years. I do not care who Carter plays in their conference, East played Jeff Co. Powell and Knox Central their first three games last year so don't talk about East not ever playing anyone. You line Carter up against those three teams the first three games of the year and Carter is 0-3. This list does not include Science Hill week 5. I believe that East had to lighten their schedule so they could build some confidence early to get ready for conference play. I think it will be a close game tomorrow night.

Charvez Francisco from Morristown East has about 600 yards and 7 touchdowns in 4 games. He is a powerful runner with good speed and is one of the better backs in TN

Speepmerchant 12 you are awful sure of yourself about number 30. Granted I agree with you about East not playing a tough first 4 games but hey their program is trying to get back to where they once were, but my friend do not overlook East and their defense. When I checked the stats Carter and East had one common opponent and that was Cocke Co. East gave up less yards against Cocke Co. then Carter did so before you begin to give #30 all these yards you better check you statement. East has only given up about 110 yards a game on the ground and is only giving up 12 points a game so granted East may give up some yards but as long as you don't score he can run for 250 and we don't care. Only thing that matters at the end of the day is the scoreboard

I don't think anyone in Morristown is overlooking Carter. How can a team that has won 4 games in the last two years overlook anyone? I think it will be a close contest with East winning in the final 2 minutes of the game. They have a sensational kicker named Terry Hall

I do not think Carter will beat East friday night. I feel that East is to big and powerful for carter to handle. I would have to give the edge to carter in the speed department. Francisco will have another big night and the East defense will continue to stop people in the red zone. My prediction is East 31 Carter 17

Who is going to win the old IMAC Conference? I know most people will say Morristown West but who else has a shot or does anyone have a shot against West. Just wondering if I can get some predictions on the order of finish

I think that Carter has a shot at beating Morristown East. From what I have heard East has a team that is very good but sometimes beats themselves with turnovers and penalities. It is a big game for both teams as East is 3-1 for the first time in 6 years and Carter seems to be getting better each year. Carter has to hope they do not fall behind because I have heard that East has a defense that is just causing QB's to just run for their lives. I know some people from Morristown and their two defensive ends has a combined 12 sacks already this year with one of the players having nine of those sacks. Overall I feel it will be a very good game with East winning late in the 4th quarter.

Great win for Morristown East but East was supposed to win that game. The next two games are going to be hugh. Carter this Friday and Morristown West the following week. Even though both these teams have losing records both have played a tremendous schedule thus far. Carter is a team that has alot of speed and like to spread you out and run the football and throw a little also. Will be a game that East can not have turnovers or alot of mistakes. As for Morristown West you can throw the book away. If you look at the last two year East has played west as well as anyone except for Maryville. I believe that the game will be alot closer than most people think. Alot of people talk about West and their defense but East also has a tremendous defense which has alot of no name players but play their butts off. I think these next two games are critical for East and their confidence.

Why is no one talking about Charvez Francisco who already has 650 yards and 7 touchdowns in 4 games. He is a great power back who runs harder than anyone I have seen. I predict that Francisco will have over 1500 yards at the end of the season and will make an All-State team. I hope colleges do not forget that playing running back is not his forte, he is going to be a defensive player in college where he is one of the most feared hitters in Tennessee

I AGREE HIRE COACH SEALS AND PLAY BALL BUT I DONT AGREE TO GET RID OF SEALS AFTER THE FIRST YEAR IF HE DOES NOT TURN THE PROGRAM AROUND . I think the whole process that has been going on at East is a joke. the administration at east are the most un professional group of individuals that i have come across. here this program has not been very good over the past few years and now you have a gut-less administration who will not make a decision on a head coach. word has it on the street that the coach that was named the head coach through spring practice is the man for the job. i hear that the kids were pretty upset when seals told them that he had not been rehired by the administration. seals seems to have a positive effect on the kids and during spring practice the kids really worked hard. So why not hire seals, he is a hometown hero who was a 1st team all stater two years in a row, a 1-aa all-american at liberty university, he has been on staff and the kids really seem to respond to his coaching. I would just hate to see east loose a great young coach who is ready to be a head coach. some say is age is a factor in the decision but i feel that kids respond better to a coach who relates to the problems on and off the field. to me it just seems to be a perfect fit. the program to do now worse that it has over the last three years so why not give this great young coach a opportunity to turn this program around. so wake up administration and hire the man before you loose him to another school because the way i hear it he has been ###### on by the administraion.
