  4. Ravenwood 42 Tullahoma 31 Franklin 70 Smyrna 6 Don't know the result of finals between Franklin and Ravenwood yet.
  5. the guys schedule has been posted on the boys basketball board. don't know about the girls schedule. maybe someone will post it.
  6. Tullahoma's Max Gessler will be 152 the rest of the way. He's been wrestling light at 160 but stayed up there for the better competition it offered the last couple of weeks. He has been right at 152 for a couple of weeks now and that's where he'll wrestle Friday against Cookeville and Brentwood and in the Tullahoma Duals Saturday. At least that's what his dad told me Wednesday.
  7. I've heard Lester called a lot of things. Sparkplug is one of them.... In all seriousness, they don't come any better. He and coach Miller make a great combination and the guys are obviously working hard for them.
  8. Cookeville and Tullahoma did not wrestle, so I'm assuming the Cavaliers faced Warren County and Franklin but I do not know the results. Sorry.
  9. And here i was thinking it was great coaching that kept Goodpasture on top STD. The cat's out of the bag now... Seriously, that's a great showing for any senior class and it shows all the hard work by the players, coaches and parents pays off in the end. Plus, I know you folks have a great time playing the game, which might be the best reward of all.
  10. great job coach, both on posting the results and the performance of your teams. i hope the weather is good next week and all the runners have wings...
  11. Very defensive, midfield oriented game at Tullahoma tonight. Both teams had a few scoring opportunities but not many. Chattanooga Christian has an outstanding squad. Good luck in the post season.
  12. You folks are doing a great job with this organization coach. The all-star game was a great night for high school softball. I was there and know some girls that played in it, and they had a blast. Good luck with this tournament you're planning.

the name rings a bell but a faint one. can you tell us more about her coach?
  14. Guru you are a whole lot smarter than you look....
  15. The Tullahoma Softball Booster Club will hold its fall league for high school teams again this year at the Johnson Lane Softball Complex in Tullahoma. Games will be played on three regulation sized fields on Sunday afternoons. Dates are Sept. 12, 19 and 26 and Oct. 3, 17 and 24. Oct. 10 will be an off week. Each team will play two games each Sunday afternoon. The league is being expanded this year so there are openings. Cost is $150 per team. To register a team or for more information, call coach David Cardwell at 931-455-1674 or e-mail him at jdclpc@hotmail.com
  16. mjuhb......Tullahoma's varsity won't be there. The junior varsity (almost all freshmen) will be playing.
  17. Froggy.....Tullahoma won 34-16. The starters played three quarters and that was the score after three. After that, young ones ran series of 10 plays each with the coaches on the field. Oakland ran the game's opening kickoff back for a TD and scored on its first drive after that to take a 13-0 lead. Tullahoma dominated the second and third quarters.
  18. TSSAA doesn't even have scores from some of the morning games. I know from reading a story that Beech beat Blackman 5-1 and Lipsomb beat Walker Valley 10-0. Soddy beat Knox Central 1-0 in bottom of seventh.
  19. Wow....great win for Lenoir City and another great state tournament performance for Rhodes. They could very well see each other again before it's over.
  20. TSSAA website had all the other results from today but not that one. Sounds like extra innings.
  21. Sounds like Reesie done coached himself up a no-hitter at the state tournament. Don't know how Guru will manage to get the credit for it, but I'm sure he has a plan. Seriously, sounds like coach Hambrick has another outstanding pitcher in the Lintz girl. She has had a great post season. There have been several very good ones come out of Marshall County, so it's no great surprise when another one pops up. They're doing something right down there, and I suspect hard work has something to do with it.
  22. If Lipscomb stays in the winner's bracket where Rhodes can pitch them all with a fresh arm, they're obviously extremely hard to beat even though they are a bit suspect offensively. Walker Valley is also playing great softball right now and could prove to be a hand full. My sentimental favorites are Marshall County because I really like their coach and Lenoir City because they have one of my new favorite players, Tommee Hicks, who I'll get to see play at Motlow State next season. Double A has, in my opinion, been the toughest division the past few years but I'm not sure if that's true this year or not. There are several teams I'm not familiar with. Good luck to all the ladies. Treasure this opportunity.
  23. hey sportaholic....i hear he learned everything he knows from guru. that's what guru told me anyway... great job ladies.
  24. I was there all day but left while they were still doing the final results. Was promised an e-mail but haven't received anything. I tried to stick around but they were looking for the mis-placed boys triple jump results so I took a chance and left. Does anyone have any idea where I could find these results. I'm way behind on writing a story for my website. Thanks for any help. Mike McGee www.tullahomasports.com (By the way, tennesseerunner doesn't have them nor does thechattanoogan, so those suggestions won't work.)
