I had a chance to meet Coach U when he came to town for a couple of days. He is going to do a great job. The one week of spring is not the perfect situation and he knows that but he is trying to make the best of it. All of you saying that the administration made a mistake who would you have hired and I don't want to hear about Hutch because He did not apply. I only want to hear about the that applied and I know that Red 81 and EastTn Guru knows who applied. He was the only choice we had unless we had tried to get a young coach with no head coaching experience. But then you would be complaining about having a coach with no experience. I will say that Coach U is in a tuff situation because he better beat Karns (Riley), South Doyle (Hutch), and West (Brown).

Jeff Co wins big in this one and go Science Hill . i would love to get the Big East title back in Dandridge. Go Big Blue.

If Houston and Carson don't play DB will win easily but if they play it will be a great game to watch.Go Big Blue.

I have followed Patriot football for a long time and yes I have a son that is a major contributor to the team. I have also heard from people in Morristown that Brown was offered and turned it down. He must really be out of his mind to stay at west as the dl coach instead of coming to Jeff as Defensive Coordinator. I guess we will find out next fall if he made the right decision or not. Volhammer I thought he would come home also but I guess I was wrong. I think he must have lost his mind. Has any body else heard these rumors?

Does any one know when Meadows is going to name the new D.C.? I still hear it is Brown's job if he wants it. I know Wilks interveiwed but I don't believe it went to good. Has Brown interveiwed? Will he leave West they should be a great team. is there any one else that Meadows is talking to. Who was his D.C. at Alcoa. He should be able to find a good coach to fill the position. Missingthesouth I would not compare Hutchins to Quarles or Kisabeth, I don't think Hutch will last very long at McMinn and most in Jeffeerson County are glad he is gone.

Has anybody heard any other names besides Wilks and Brown. There is no way that Kisabeth would come back his ego would not let him work for any one else at the high school level. He was a great head coch during his time.I think this is a vey important hire for us. Wilks or Brown would do a great job. Who is calling the defense this spring?

Just talked to a coach at Carson-Newman and he told me that Lamar Brown at Morristown West would be offered the job. It would a great hire for us. Lamar would bring a lot of energy and fire back to Jeff.

There are plenty of quality asst coaches out there but we need to find one that is a fit for Jeff Co. I don't believe we have to many quality assistants right nowon staff.

I do remember us making it to the quarterfinals and it was great but we have a lot of people to replace and I also remember us getting our butts kicked by Mo West and DB.

Who is Jeff Co. going to hire to replace Coach Hutchins? Any rumors?

George was a good high school Qb at Jeff in the Mid 80s.

I wonder how many people from Strawberry Plains follow McMinn Co. I only know of one and his name is Eric Hutchins but Eric I am happy that you know that you need to hire some experience.

I do not have resentment towards the staff. I just want what is best for the kids. I do not think this staff does that. It is funny that Kisabeth's last years. It was all his fault and he had the exact same staff. As far as I'm concerned, if Kisabeth gets all of the blame then Meodows should get all of the credit. Every one in the county knows we need better coaches. Sounds like you might be one of them dirk.

How does any of this have to do with who will go with Hutchins? Here is what I'm saying 1) They were crazy for hiring Hutchins in the first place. 2)We did not want him @ Jeff Co., if we did we would have hired him when Kisabeth left. 3) I know for a fact that Meadows did not like him at all. 4) If he is going to survive, he better hire some people with experience on defense. Who is it going to be. I have heard he can take about 5 coaches with him. I hope he takes all from Jeff because that coaching staff is a joke. It would give us a chance to hire some decent coaches and then we just might win that state championship you always talk about but we cannot do it with this coaching staff.
