  1. As it turns out, there are some teams in this age division. They all just decided to play in the Nashville tournament. There are 13 teams in the tournament this weekend. Two of the teams are coming from Memphis. This should be a great weekend with very good competition. From what I have seen or heard, there are 5 or 6 teams that could win the tournament.
  2. How many teams played and who were they?
  3. There will be a 3-on3 tournament in Nashville on May 1, 2004. The tournament will be in the Cool Springs area in the parking lot of the Thoroughbred Cinemas Movie Theater beginning with a coaches meeting at 8:00 AM. There are 4 different divisions...6th-8th grades, 9th-12th grades, College, and Adult (23 years and up). Cost is $60 per team if you register before April 25. You can register by going to 3 on 3 Tournament There will also be a $10,000 hot-shot competition. Go to www.3by3.org

  5. My reason for "not true" is because Ensworth has never been a feeder school for CPA like it has been for some of the others. All of these schools will have a few kids switch at some point due to different reasons. As wonderful as all of these schools are, I do not see any of this as a major issue. If our public school system does not change,I see all of them flourishing and growing. I know that I and other CPA faithful are very excited about our new coaching staff. So Coach Pack leaving,as much as I hated to see him go,will not have an effect on kids leaving to go to Ensworth. I see it as another DII school that will make that division even stronger and more fun to watch in the near future.
  6. I am not coaching this year. I coached the 11u Tn. Heat last year and my son played up as a 4th grader. He is playing for the Shock 11u team this year. When we saw the teams in this tournament we tried to get moved back down, but that did not happen. This will be a great learning(humbling) experience. Not trying to knock our team in any form, but there is huge curve from 11u to 12u. As one of my players told me during a time out at the 11u state tournament last year,"coach, these kids all have hair under their arms".
  7. After the Cookeville Tournament last weekend our coach thought it would be a good idea to play the Riverdale tournament in the 12u group. I just saw the teams and realize this may not have been a good idea. Please tell your guys to take it easy on us. Based on the teams I saw, you should get an idea of some of the better teams in this age group. It also looks good for the 11u group as well.
  8. I would like the info.If you could post the contacts that would be great. THANKS
  9. I am not the coach. Last year I coached the Tn. Heat in the 5th/11u group that my son played on as a fourth grader. He now plays with the Shock 11u team, which I help a little. I would like to know about the tournament. The main thing we want to know is what teams and is it going to be good competition.
  10. devilfanatic, Is your team playing in any tournaments the last week in March or the first week in April. We are trying to find a tounament with some good competition those 2 weeks.
  11. We are in Southwest Nashville. Our practices are at a gym that is on the Davidson-Williamson County line.If you have an interest, you can call 615-319-2325. We currently are practicing on Tuesday nights @ 6:00 p.m.
  12. And now you should be happy. The dominate 1A privates will be moving up.How many of those schools won consecutive state titles in football? ZERO!!! The last team to do so was in 97 and 98. The scores in those two years were 45-0 in 97 and 63-18 in 98. Who was the team and which classification will they be in now?I wonder how many years before they double the 5 gold balls they already have.
  13. for directions go to www.christpres.org/CPA. At the top left under About Us you can get directions with a map attached.
  14. 11u team in Middle Tn. seeking inside player. Can't be an exception player, which can't turn 12 before Sept.1.
