who will be all state in class a?

I just heard that Josh McCurry has been named head football coach and freshman basketball coach at Cloudland High School. Is this a rumor or is McCurry a diamond in the rough.

hey chill, it's obvious that these stats do not include unaka and cloudland because i can assure you that rusty chambers, unaka and robbie tolley cloudland are leading this area in scoring. the jc press sometimes fails to recognize our class a teams.

robbie tolley played great, so did mark byrd and aaron stocton. we saw tonight why rusty chambers is so good. he refused to let them lose. not only can he score but he can pass as good as anyone. i am sure he led them in rebounding. cody took a great shot at the end it just came up short. cloudland is starting to jell.

dogman get a life or put your kid in boys club where you can coach him

i heard that elizabethton has an opening for two games and so does unaka. so why don't you both play each other and see who is the best. lets cut out the excuses and put up or shut up. it would be a great game for the fans and players so wilson and chambers in the words of michael buffer, let's get ready to rumble. no excuses.

to ucs sparky if unicoi can beat unaka then why did they beat you by nearly 30 at your place in a scirmmage right before the season started. you all can't beat cloudland so don't even go there. your high school team looks more like jr. high players.

this must have been a great game last night. how did the game go and what players played well in it? was they a big crowd on stoney creek? was this an upset or is unaka very good?

all i was asking was who are the leading hitters across the state according to batting averages. i would love some names and stats not some hog wash opinions on if a coach has a son, or if the scorekeeper don't like someone. names and averages please.

I was just wondering who has the highest batting average in the state? Please lets be real about this. I hope coaches will post on this.

does anyone know if they are all-state teams for each classification? how does it work?

the job is ralph parton's if he wants it. they love the way ralph teaches the game and he was a favorite at ut in the 80's. this choice might also help lure in the 2 players one 6'9 and one 6'7 that ralph has ties with. one can't help but think that a parton's name might go a long way in sevier co.

let's see no one gave unaka a chance in baseball this season but the final score was 11-0. not boasting it was just the rangers day. it might be different next time. but fans for both teams enjoy this game. i agree with a post some time ago when a poster said give the fans the game they want to see. you would think sh with your dad being a unaka grad that he would love to go back to his old high school and play. you are right when you say betsy was good this season. but the same team central you were down 9 going into the fourth quarter at home by, unaka led by 16 at halftime at home against central before losing the lead in the fourth quarter. the point is anything can happen in basketball foul trouble, cold shooting etc. i dont know if they could have played with the cyclones this season but they sure could have last season and like it or not unaka will field their best team in quite some time next season. but the point we want to play better teams is mute because the best comp. is here in your back yard. like it or not they continue to challege you and the only way you shut them up is to play a home and away series such as the one with hampton and happy valley. as a former baseball and basketball or the rangers i would have loved to play that game although we did play the cyclones in baseball. i too am sick of seeing this on the coach t board but now is time to take action. do you accept the challege or do keep making excuses? the ball is in your court.

i spoke to a sportswriter and he stated this year the majority of voters came from middle and west tn. that is why east tn is never represented on the all state team nor will they ever be a mr basketball here. it says something for humphreys to win. he is very good.

i know for a fact that creeker is not a member of the unaka basketball team as a matter of fact i was told he goes to ehs so figure that out

in the unaka cloudland game unaka beat them 2 days before 12-0 on a one hitter. in 8-7 loss they lead 7-1 but he put most of his jv players in and pitched no one on the varsity saving his 1,2,3 and 4 pitcher. with 24 kids you have to let them play if you don't play many jv games. against happy valley they had 7 starters who had just come out of basketball 2 days before and they had not practiced any. as for tn high 3-1 after four they changed pitchers and he got shelled. can they beat volunteer i dont know but for class a they are very good they beat south greene 13-3 but did not hit against crockett losing 2-0. they have only 1 senior and their top 4 pithers are 2 soph. 1 fresh, and 1 junior now having a baseball field to practice on they will be a force in the weeks to come i played for coach ensor and they are a good team i would never overlook them
