  1. Let's see, CCS and LC better than CAK? Correct me if I'm wrong but CAK beat both of them. Ridgeway? Have to wait until next year to see if CAK and Ridgeway can meet in Memphis.
  2. Thanks for the info. Hopefully Lenoir City v Kingston today is a preview of the State Final in Memphis. Should be a good one.
  3. All season long Gibbs has been rolling. Have not heard any District Playoff results. Are they still in it? Who will represent that District in Region?
  4. Congratulations Oneida Indians on an excellent season. #2 in the District in regular season play, home field advantage in District semifinal. You earned every bit of it with hard work, dedication and determination. It showed through as I watched you play Kingston (twice) and Lenior City. Hold your heads up and be proud. You play quality soccer and you have built the foundation for years to come.
  5. Hey badcall13 - Oneida has only one more home game in District play. Whoever wins the District championship game (could be the Indians) can have three more home games next week before going to Memphis. bad call.
  6. Why is Loudon not an option? As Kendren said: it COULD happen. So are Loudon and Lenoir City playing tonite? I heard they were going to play on their practice field or the AYSO fields.
  7. Anybody know if they played tonite? Who is LC's next opponent?
  8. Congratulations to the Oneida Indians. The Kingston v Harriman and the Loudon v Scott Co. matches were not played due to storms and lightning. They will try again Tuesday at 7:00.
  9. LC dominated - No. LC had more chances - definitely yes. For me to agree that a team dominated a game they would have to keep the other team from doing what they had intended to do. I full well believe that Oneida intended to slow LC down and play for a "one goal wins" match. They did exactly that. Oneida accomplished exactly what they intended to do. They set the pace of the game. Oneida controlled the character of the entire match. Yes, LC should have come out on top with the chances they had but they could not finish those chances, partly because frustration had set in. Oneida could not generate enough scoring opportunities to really threaten but they did counter attack and had some chances. No LC did not dominate, Oneida intended to defend LC's attack for 80 minutes and did it in style. All the congratulations are due to Oneida. They were not beaten by the better team that night.
  10. Oneida really stepped up this year and made the district a three team race. Well done Oneida. Keep your focus and enjoy the district tournament matches. No matter how you do from here, you guys have made your mark and started a new era for the district. Congratulations.
  11. Another notch in the belt for Oneida. Well done Indians. It was hard to tell which team was #2 in the State thru the first half. LC started to bend the game their way in the second half but they were already so frustrated that the open goal avoided them on some unbelievable opportunities. Oneida's keeper has my vote for district player of the year. Bottom line = Oneida is #2 in the district seeding.
  12. titansfan05, TSSAA stated in the preseason meeting that any two teams advancing from the same region would be placed in opposite brackets in Memphis. That way they could only meet again in the championship. In your example, Farragut and Bearden would play their season match (done), then their district playoff match (this Friday?), then their region playoff match (following week). In the past one would go home here and the two region winners would play. This year they both advance to substate against the winner and runner-up from their pair region, and the winners of these two substate matches go to Memphis.
  13. Excellent match. Refreshing to see quality soccer between these two schools without it looking more like a hockey game or a prize fight. Both squads should be proud of the game and working hard to meet again next Friday in the tournament final. Neither one had better overlook Oneida. They are right on the verge of causing trouble in the district.
  14. Is there anybody out there who thinks Farragut held back and did not score as many goals as they could against Bearden? Don't forget, there are probably two more matchups left before Memphis.
  15. Thanks for the web page. Oneida should be proud of the season. Quality soccer.
