  1. first of all dyersburg is not near as good as they think they are henry county's first defense did not give up 7 tds like they say and they kept the first O in against henry county's 2nd and 3rd D. Henry County is a young inexperienced team but is continuing to get better. Not to mention that the dyersburg coaches schemed Henry County's offense since they had been practicing with them all week and Henry County was limited on the plays they could run. Henry County's offense didn't look too good, but neither did dyersburgs against Henry County's first D.

    2A Matchup

Like I said, there are teams in 2A that can compete in 5A, but they wuold never make it to the top. I don't want to bash 2A football, but when you have 2,000 students as opposed to 600, there is a lot more to choose from and naturally you will find more, better athletes. That is not to say there aren't any athletes in 2A schools. It is just a numbers game, when you have more to choose from it makes things much easier. About Franklin, 2 years ago Franklin was nowhere, not even close to the team they were last year. They had a very good team. JCM was no question the best team in the state last year, talent wise. JCM had absolutely no discipline on their football team, and they still made it to semi-finals. Teams like this are hard to beat, you just can't find as many athletes at a smaller school, period.

    2A Matchup

You can't compare 2A and 5A football. The competition is good.....among the classes. If you match a 2A and 5A team up, the 5A team is more than likely gonna give them a old fashion country one. Granted there are strong teams in 2A that can beat teams in 5A, your majority of 5A football is gonna roll right over a 2A opponent. I want to see any 2A team match up with your Brentwood, Franklin, Germantown, Riverdale, or JCM. There was a hardly a team in 5A that could touch these schools, much less 2A. Give me a break

    Region 6 - 5A

you can't rule Henry Co out this early. It is way too early to tell. I don't care what kind of team Henry Co. or Dickson Co has they always play a close ballgame. Henry Co started a lot of young players last year and look for them to be back in the positions this year. There is some new talent coming from the freshman class of this year and a few others who will make a big impact if they can keep their grades up. Don't count Henry Co out when it is only March 12 and the season doesn't come into view until late August.
  5. Northwest Dickson Rossview Henry Co Congratulations to Katy, Whitney, and Tisha for all tournament team
  6. You are right #10 Chance Young has always played point for Henry Co....but your awards are terrible. You should have not given the players "teams" you should have just listed them if that is what you meant.
  7. They were told to sit down becuase one student threw one coin. I don't know if you remember but the student section all turned around to him and said stop throwing stuff. But before they were told to sit down, were they not told to stand still? Last time I checked the fans could cheer on their team and it said nothing about moving. So the incident started with them telling the section to stand still and not wave their arms, not with the coin throwing incident. I agree that things should not be thrown onto the court, however there is nothing wrong with cheering your team on. Also in the rulebook the referee is suppose to talk to the atletic director, which he did. He is suppose to tell him what happened and then the athletic director makes the decision on disciplinary action. Not this time. The ref did find our athletic director, but he told him that we had to sit down or he would call a technical foul on the Henry County bench. Sounds like a bunch of crap. Let me ask you this. Is it more fun when the crowd is going nuts at a game or when the gym is dead silent. I think I already know your answer.
  8. Yeah right. You can't say they haven't won here because of the refs. Rossview won because of quickness, something other Clarksville schools dont have. The reason they can't win here is because of HOME COURT ADVANTAGE. We have a little thing called school spirit and our student section outnumbers anyones in the district. When we went to northwest we had more fans than they did. That is why it is so hard to win at Henry Co. not because of the refs. If i recall the refs told the student section to sit down when we played Rossview because they were going nuts because Henry Co was making a comeback. When the student section sat down, their comeback stopped. So is it fair that the REFS made them sit down? Don't look too one sided to me.
  9. How can you say that the refs will be fair? What is there to say that they will only have two referees at the game like the have the past two time Henry Co has visited Clarksville. At Clarksville High the referees were short one and were young referees that didn't always make the right call. At Clarksville NW last night there was also only two referees. It may just be coincidence but it seems every time Henry Co goes to Clarksville, the referees are short in number and/or one sided.
  10. Homecourt andvantage in district tournaments is a big lift for the schools. In our district the Clarksville schools outvoted Henry Co. and Dickson Co. to play all the games in one place....Clarksville. All the games will be played at Rossview. That leaves Henry Co. and Dickson with absolutely no chance to have homecourt advantage. Both schools will have to have fans drive to the games from over an hour away and Clarksville will have all their games in town. It isn't fair to the other two schools to have the games played in Clarksville because the games are played on weeknights and most people can't attend because it is too far away. This was a terrible idea and totally unfair.
  11. I have seen Harris play myself. Granted he is a good player but he also has an attitude problem on the court at times. When things go bad he gets frustrated and tends to get a little out of control.
