  1. HAHA.. now this is funny.. i'm really sure (or at least i hope) that the alcoa players dont think the same way most of you people on this site think.. if they do they are in for a rude awakening..
  2. i hope the trend continues this week where donald makes at least one completely devastating QB sack! did anyone else feel their insides jar when he sacked dresden's QB?

    Best JR in TN

    Chris Donald -- hands down.
  4. 1530 WDAP will be broadcasting the game on the AM band as well as on the web at www.hitsandheadlines.com
  5. yo people is this game still happening or what? i guess everyone is "talked out"?
  6. what is wrong with you people? the minute i take pride in thinking that huntingdon is privledged to have some of the best fans with the best attitudes around.. something like this happens.. i've always noticed that huntingdon threads are very insightful and there's alot of actual talking going on instead of bragging or having a debate about something stupid or trivial oh well i guess there's always gonna be a few bad apples on the tree. back to the game.. it will be interesting to see what ol' wambles has been cooking up on the offensive side of the ball, and even more interesting to see how the defense steps up from last week.. i know it was just a jamboree and i know it may seem like there's too much pressure being put on the defense.. and how they respond this week won't mean the world.. but it sure will set the record straight on what type of work ethic they are putting forth.. remember last season the defense didn't really catch gear until about midway through.. while i hope this isnt the case.. i think we have an offense that could keep us in alot of high scoring games if they ever came about. but let's not hope for that and i know and have faith that this team and every team that comes along has the ability to adapt and better themselves week in and week out to get to the point where they are firing on all cylinders. sorry, i rambled a bit but that's just my 2 cents.
  7. okay boys and girls, let's get back to football talk.l
  8. it's online if you wanna read it here's the ------> link to the article
  9. i'm paraphrasing here, but it basically talked about how he's made a name for himself in football and how hard he's been working over the summer. the write-up was sorta like an intro to a larger article "top 10 stories to watch this fall" or something like that.
  10. by the way that was a nice write-up on boo by the jackson sun the other day..
  11. hardhead70.. i was just referring to where you corrected that stewart had the most rushing yards in a game.. when the person you were referring to only stated that Bell had the most career rushing yards.. no unchecked attitude here.
  12. boo definitely needs to be in the "athlete" spot he ran the fastest 40 yard dash at the adidas UT football camp (4.41.. after all the workouts) had 2,500yd rushing, plays both ways, AND won defensive MVP in the 'ship
  13. while we all wont kid ourselves and admit that the higher divisions are better.. i believe that 2A is the most competitive and more fun to watch
  14. in that case.. i'll take boo weathers over any kid mentioned here.. and i'm not even being biased.. he's just got the most natural ability of staying away from tacklers.. that's my opinion of fast. i dont even know if all the rumors floating around about his 40 times are true and yes 40 times are gonna be bogus to you guys because a) if it's too good or hard to believe you'll never believe it and if it's okay or whatever you say 40 times make no difference.. c) most of you are so pompous you'd never believe anything unless it was you actually pushing the button on the stopwatch.. the 40 yard dash is for recruiting purposes mostly.. BUT it is also to tell who the "Fastest Players in Tn" are (like the topic says) so in this case the times do indeed matter.
  15. if i'm not mistaken one of them (wambles) was a DB coach at bethel college?
  16. i see this time and time again.. everyone always has the same key points that each team has to do to have a good year (fill key positions.. how well the underclassmen will mature.. injuries.. and etc etc) but the biggest factors that most people forget is leadership and big playmakers.. two very important things in my book.. many of you remember the 2002 and 2003 huntingdon teams.. both had extremely good talent but lacked leadership, no one really wanted to step up and be the bellwether for how everyone else was playing the game.
  17. camden may be good, but i dont think they've earned the "powerhouse" title just yet.
  18. don't put words in my mouth and don't assume as if you know what i'm talking about.. this is purely for folks from huntingdon.. it's a "feeling" and there's a whole lot more to it than that.. i know other towns may do it but you dont have to come onto this thread and try to be all patronizing like that
  19. i think the topic here is "what's happening in huntingdon" not "what was happening in huntingdon".... just kidding guys.. this is good to read about.. they should make a movie about all these stories and the way the charter buses pull up to the primary school in huntingdon before a playoff game and all the little kindergarden kids run out with mustang jerseys on with the biggest smiles on their faces. or the way it is when the entire town comes to the square for the pep rallies.. there's alot more i could say but most of you already know.
  20. how come there's two threads about this?
  21. at the UT camp, boo weathers ran a 4.41 40.. AFTER A FULL DAY OF WORKOUTS.. i heard that as soon as the time was verified 5 or 6 guys standing on the field got on their cell phones.. i also heard that fulmer walked up and boo tried to introduce himself and coach just said "oh don't worry, i know who you are"..
