Jimbo, those are fighting words. The roster is complete now. I, for one, did not realize the roster was incomplete. I don't have to look at the roster for our team. I know them. When I found out it was incomplete I added them. White County is not ashamed of their players. They are fine young ladies. Not just on the basketball court, but in the classroom and everyday life. I know these girls and would match them up with anybody as all around individuals. They may not win every game but I will always be proud of them. Sorry. But a lot of things get said on here but I found that one a little hard to take.

What did the scoring look like for Lawrence County in their win over BGA?

Dual residency seems to be the problem. I know of cases where players have changed schools but their families retained their homes in other towns. If the utilities and house is still in that persons name, then that is a dual residence. Cumberland County girls basketball team once had to forfeit something like 15 games because of a situation like that. Transfer rules are made because there are those out there who try to find every loop hole possible to get transfers so the TSSAA has to be tough on things. I am afraid this Gallatin situation is an example of a case where they are having to suffer because so many others found loop holes. This kid and his family may not have been trying to slip one by but others in the past have changed schools just to play at another school and have kept their residence thus Gallatin are having to pay because of rules made for the indiscretions of others in the past.

I realize teams are going to have to travel to play games. All I am saying is the number of teams in the region should be equal.

Okay. Try this for Region 5-4A. These are approximate times from White County to the other nine places in their region. To Tullahoma 1:15 Shelbyville 1:30 Overton, Hillwood, Hillsboro - 1:30 Columbia, Spring Hill - 2:15 Lawrence Co. - 2:30 Hickman Co. - 2:45

They need to keep the regions as even as possible. How is it fair to have one region have five teams in it and a team that is 1-9 advance to the playoffs while another region has ten teams in it and teams with winning records get left out. The whole idea is to get the best teams in and the format makes things unfair. There has to be some way to balance the regions better.

How about this match up - Lawrence County at White County on November 22.

That is incorrect information. She verbally committed to Belmont University Monday. She cannot sign until signing day in November.

Say what you want about Coach Brown but there were other options besides Tullahoma traveling to White County Saturday night. White County wanted to finish the game Friday night. They waited it out last year at Shelbyville and finished it right there. Ask why Tullahoma did not want to finish last night. Something about their field had just been resodded and they didn't want to mess it up again. Now, is that White County's fault that Tullahoma did not want to mess up their field. It is football, fields get messed up. Should White County have to drive all the way back down to Tullahoma after getting home late just because Tullahoma did not want to mess their field up? White County offered to go back to Tullahoma in week 6 but Tullahoma did not want to do that either. White County is getting blamed but Tullahoma did not accept any of the offers made to them. So the only other thing was a no contest. Tullahoma definitely did not want that. So they decided to come to Sparta. Please don't blame White County. Their players were begging to finish it last night.

Don't get me started on whether White County knows what an athlete is. You don't want me to start making a list of White County born and bred athletes.

What is taking so long to name the new coach? You would think they would want to get the new coach in there and started working on the summer schedule?

Since they jumped ahead of White County in the rotation in only their second year, I hope they get their problems fixed before the district tourney begins.

Please stop putting pressure on these guys by saying they will win a state championship. I hope they do as much as anyone but the last thing they need right now is people making them think they are going to win a state championship in high school. They have the talent but giving them the big head could be the biggest block. It also doesn''t help putitng a target on their backs already. A lot depends on how much they grow also.
