SLY- I only made my comments based on the fact that bchsballa said Bradley played a "heck of a game!" You and I both know that is not true- Bradley did not play well. And you also quoted me as questioning how good Bradley is! I never questioned that, and anyone with a brain knows how good they are. They have the most OVERALL talent of any high school team that I have seen in a while! You also questioned my comment about Bradley barely winning, and your response was that winning by 12 is not barely winning. Well, you and I both know that the game was much closer than the final score might show, and it was either teams game late in the fourth quarter! Go back to 23smom play by play and see for yourself. MIXITUP_ Did Coach Moore make the comment that "he was suprised as anyone on how well they played, and he doesn't expect it to occur again." Why would Coach Moore say he doesn't expect it to occur again? He never expects his team to play well the rest of the year or the next time they play Bradley he doesn't expect his team to play that well? Come on now- Coach Moore might have said that he was suprised as anyone in their play, but I have a hard time believing that he thinks it can't happen again! You also said that "WV blindly launched the ball toward the basket, and lucky for them a majority fell!" What are you talking about? Did the WV players have blind folds on or (am I really confused) do they have an all blind team? That comment was almost funny! You made it sound like WV made 14 half court shots. I'm a fan of Bradley myself but if a team is making 3's why not guard them a little better- Don't make the excuse that they were just throwing up shots and making them.

bchsballa How can you say that Bradley played a "heck of game"- when they almost lost to a AA school that might not even win their own district. As good as everyone says Bradley is- they couldn't have played that well to barely beat WV (especially looking at the talent that Bradley has compared to what WV has). Heck of a coaching job by Steve Moore. bchsballa- you need to be realistic!!!!!!!

From listening to some of the game on the radio- Cleveland didn't play alot of their horses most of the game. I wasn't their, and I'm definitely not making excuses for them, but I know Alex Goldston did not play much if at all- and Charles Jett did not play either. I know both of these guys have been starting, and with Cleveland not having much depth anyway- I can see how this game got ugly in a hurry! Regardless Oak Ridge must have played well!

TribeGuy22- Just face it- McMinn County is not very good, and for you to say that McMinn Co. and McMinn Central is the biggest game in the state- you are surely confused on what is meant by biggest game in the state. McMinn Co. basketball is not considered to be one of the top basketball programs, and to say that knowing Giles and Bradley play on Saturday makes your comment even more funny! Now if you said that McMinn Co. and Central would be a great game to watch- you would be correct.

Until somebody knocks them off the top-McMinn Central is #1! Eventhough Sequoyah beat Walker Valley, they lost to Meigs by 15. Polk and Meigs are interchangeable right now! Sweetwater is the worst team in the district right now. 1. McMinn Central 2. Walker Valley 3. Sequoyah 4. Meigs Co. 5. Polk Co. 6. Tellico (could move up once they start playing better) 7. She's going to Bradley! I know this for a fact. She moved into the County, and someone told me she enrolled in Bradley the other day. Let it go- to be honest WHO CARES!!! Bradley and Cleveland both will benefit from this!!!!!!!

I have heard some bad rumors about Andy Pennington. For Sweetwater's sake I hope they are not true. I wish they would hire someone with a Sweetwater connection- I know for a fact that Pennington would love to be coaching the boys at Sequoyah. He graduated from Madisonville and I think is half brother plays for Sequoyah- I can't think of his name. For all you Sweetwater people that support the wildcats and bleed blue and gold- you better hope Pennington don't get the job.

I don't have a dog in the race, but I watched alot of games at the state tournament- and the officiating was below average. It's ashame we can't get better officials for the state tournament!

blackgold Boy's coach is a joke! If I were guessing I would say the only thing thats a joke is your life. Also, your email address tells me that you work at the high school. I wonder if your principal would like to know that your blasting one of your co-workers on the internet. You Madisonville (or Sequoyah people) are all the same- LOSERS! Don't blame it on your coach. You also said that Sequoyah had young talent. Yes, they have some freshman that played a lot on Varsity, but that does not mean they are going to win. Any team throughout the state (any classification) that plays alot of freshman are not going to win on a consistent basis.

23sMom this is just an observation but I think that you should worry about your daughter and her team's loss last Friday instead of jumping on the band wagon here! We need to worry about our Bearettes!!!!

I am a Bradley fan but I have to defend Coach Green on this one to set the facts straight. I know for a fact that he did not kick a hole in the Coke machine. I wish that both sides would let this one die down. We all need to stop being so negative and let the kids enjoy this great rivalry. There has been some very good basketball played on both sides in both games. I can only begin to imagine how great the games will be if they happen to meet two more times in the district and the region. I am sure this game (as well as this entire series) will be talked about for a long time. There will be rumors and stories flying as well, but let's all remember that we go to watch because of the kids. They are the ones that deserve the spot light and we are trying to take that away from them. So to all of the players at Bradley and Cleveland, you all have given us two great, great games to remember for a long time! I am proud of everyone and can't wait to see round 3 and round 4 (I hope) over the next three weeks! [Edited by bcball on 2-17-03 10:05A]
