  1. I played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track. I did have the good fortune of playing along side Todd Collins and knew Brent well.
  2. 25-30. Man, I wish. I am well into my thirties, and no I am not living through Jeff. Co. high. I am just an avid fan and alumni supporter of all sports at the high school. i also give each program $100 for every victory over a Morristown team. After this year, I may give the track program $1000 for the conference victory!!!
  3. That is the surprise my friend!!!!
  4. Scooter will win the 100, 200, and 400. Mills will win the 100, 200 and anchor a relay that will win on the girls side. Also, look for a surprise from old Coach Brimer on the girls side come conference time!!!
  5. As a belegered Jeff. Co. fan, I think the reason why D-B has Jeff. Co.'s number is simple. For the first 8 years of this run, Jefferson Co.'s gameplan never changed. We were going to run the splitback veer and a straight 50 on D. It did not matter what D-B did, we were not going to change because that is what worked in the 80s. The past two seasons, Jeff has just made too many mistakes. I had the priviledge (if you want to call it that) to be on the sideline with my neighbor Coach Hutchins at the D-B vs. McMinn Co. playoff game and saw the same thing unfold. D-B capitolizing on opponents mistakes. Plus the atmosphere at Kingsport is unbelieveable. Hopefully, the Pats will come through this year with the win. Maybe Coach U will break the ice.
  6. This is an American classic event. Many teams in the IMAC run the fat boy relay, even had it as a nonscoring event at the conference meet several years ago. I think it should become a state level event. In order to be on the relay, you must weigh at least 250.
  7. This is absolutely hilarious. A West person telling anyone that they are in denial. West lives in a state of denial. And what are you talking about, a AAA division at a Saturday meet. I did not think they had divisions at Saturday meets. I guess this is just another Coach Farmer mind game. I was happy to hear you are pleased with the second place finish. At least you understand your place in the peeking order.
  8. The first day off full pad practice is August 2. It is the Monday of the week of August 1.
  9. Jeff will win both again and everyone else will fight for second, as usual!!!
  10. You are obviously from Farragut where they try to play American football as you call it. Play at a real football school and you will see how in shape you must be.
  11. Who cares!! Its soccer. Its for guys who are not man enough to play football (except kickers). This is Tennessee, not England!!
  12. The Harris kid from AE is back, isn't he? He is a great running back. Fine at Fulton will be a beast as well.
  13. JC4life, I played for Coach K in the 1980s and can honestly say that I never thought anyone was played because of who they were. I do think that later in his career, when politics became bigger on his future plans, some of this may have happened. However, I really do not know a particular case as you suggest. Who is the qb/receiver you are refering to? I would like to know!! As far as another coach from JC, Time Sorrells, first QB at Jeff. is the Offensive coordinator at Furman.
  14. I don't know her name, but there is a freshman girl at William Blount who can run. She runs the 100, 200, and 400 equally well.
  15. Thanks for proving my point further.
  16. CoachT, I apologize for ever starting a thread that could get so out-of-hand. I think the coaches from both SC and JC are good coaches. I will, in the future, take into account the incredible inmaturity of etsubound1st and schsbears before starting another thread about SC sports. It is a shame that you guys get on here and dog your own school and coach because you are not good enough or team oriented enough to make the team. It is a sad year in Purpleville. Good ridience to you both.
  17. Why would I be jealous of West. They have nothing on us, that is for sure. Oh, I really would like to have a conference runner-up finish! I guess I can borrow one of yours though.
  18. Sounds like the typical West pretty boy!! I never heard of him because I do not think he won anything!!
  19. Seriously, those times are very good for this early in the year. This should make the region meet very interesting. With Bearden, Knox. West, and Scooter, the 400m will be interesting.
  20. I think he is the mutant nephew of Dolly Parton. His lungs are the size of her breasts and he wears a wig on race day. Look for him to run the hurdles later on because they remind him of the Islands in the Stream.
  21. That is a low blow guru5. Farragut plays in a much tougher region than SC in football. Besides, those pretty boys in West Knoxville don't like to get hit. That is why they play baseball and soccer. You know that!!
  22. Actually, etsubound, you can have as many names as e-mail addresses. Computer does not matter. I hope you get smarter before you go to college, or else you will struggle. By the way, how is your golf game coming along now that you don't have baseball practice sfter school !
  23. No games have been won or lost yet. A little early to tell. Also add McMinn Co. and Sequatchie. Maybe after spring ball!!
  24. Great site for high school baseball. Thanks!!!
