  1. Beaten badly by Carter and South Doyle. What has happened?
  2. Wishful thinking from an Alcoa fan. I would love to see it happen, but there is no way Jefferson Co. will be able to pay him enough. The county ranks near the bottom in teacher pay and the coaching supplements suck. Why would he leave a place where he makes a lot more money and wins for a place that cannot pay him and rebuild?
  3. Any Jefferson County fans lurking around? No. Unfortunately a series of bad hires buy the county administration and a series of bad coaches Jefferson County fans are few and far between anymore. This once stories program has fallen on hard times. Until some drastic changes are made (principal, AD), the program will be stuck. I think Cobble is doing all he can with the support he is getting.
  4. Is it not funny how all these Memphis area kids are ranked in the top 25 yet the Gold Balls always come to East TN. Anyone find this strange, or is it just me?
  5. And all of Cain's soldiers and all of Cain's men couldn't put Greenville's defense together again! I don't think West paid much attention to your scoreboard sign.!
  6. Was at the Jamboree last night. It is good to be football time again. Jeff. Co. showed very little and the first team only played the first series against Mo. West. Defense looked solid. Jones kid laid the wood to TE to force a fumble. Back-ups gave up a big play at the end to let West score. Cocke Co. looked good on offense and drove it down for a score against West. They held out their stud back Haney and still looked really good. West looked pretty good on offense. Quarterback was a little off target on a couple of throws. Defense struggled against Cocke Co., but handled Jeff's vanilla offense. Without a doubt the most impressive team to watch was Cherokee. That's right, Mobuck was the best team there last night. The Ryan kid at QB is really good. He can throw any pass needed from the pocket or on the run. East could not stop them at all. They gave up a long pass with the young ones.
  7. Saw them on the jamboree tonight . Long year for the Canes ahead. They could not stop Cherokee. The Ryans kid is really good
  8. Sevier Co. will be the top of the conference again. Jefferson Co. will be much improved and will get over the hump to finish second. Morristown West will be down a little but will finish third. Cherokee returns the Ryans kid at QB so they will be dangerous. 5 - 8 will be a toss up between South Doyle, Mo. East, Seymour, and Cocke Co. Overall, I think the conference will be down compared to last year. Offenses just will not be as good.
  9. Bearsmom, if SC really believed to be the best you have to play the best, then why do you guys schedule Halls and William Blount as nonconference opponents? The IMAC is not a particulary deep conference. SC, Morristown West, and Jeff. Co.. (not this year) are the only quality teams year in year out. Maryville has tried to strengthen their schedule somewhat by scheduling Oak Ridge and Webb. The region Maryville plays in is better overall now. But when their "rivals" were not in the same league (during the megarun), the schedule was a joke. Sevier does play DB out of conference, but those other games are gimmies!
  10. Typical Maryville fan. I never accused Maryville of being scared. I simply stated that you and SC never were willing to schedule each other. Now go away, I am busting DB's chops right now
  11. Hey WackoJacko, let's getting rolling! Bwahahaha
  12. Rivalry? Really? More like recruiting opportunities. WB and Heritage could consolidate and not even be competitive most years. These are not rivalries. Proximity does not make a rivalry. Notice I did not include Alcoa. That is a rivalry
  13. I disagree. For years, Maryville played sub par William Blount and Heritage teams in non district games and said it was for "community" reasons. Sevier Co. would play Seymour for the same reason . A mute point now of course, but for years this occurred .
  14. This should be a good game. These 2 teams have ducked from playing each other for years. Now, they meet. Let's get it on! Wish DB were here!! BwHahahHhahA!
  15. Motown, you are wasting time argueing with this moron. He predicted West to beat Farragut and said they would be Maryville's toughest test. A 30-7 beat down proved that to be false. Knoxville teams think they are the only teams that play good football. At 7 pm on Friday the truth will come to light.
  16. Well, it is the second week of November, which means football season is over in Kingsport! What a comeback by Sevier Co. and a supreme choke job by DB. SC can really score fast, but DB fumbling inside the SC 20 with a chance to win is awful. Anyway, the IMAC has 2 teams in the quarterfinals. SC will play at Maryville in 6A while Morristown West will host Knox West. Friends tell me Mo. West looked totally dominant at times in the game with East and awful at other times to make it a game. They will need a complete effort this week. Go IMAC!
  17. Round 2 of the playoffs. No Jeff. Co. football but still 3 IMAC teams alive. Unfortunately, 2 will play each other. At least we will have a team in the quarters. Sevier Co. vs Dobyns-Bennett - SC returns to the scene of there only loss, a 1 point loss on a missed extra point (@#$% kickers). I think SC goes back and gets revenge in a close game. Mo. East vs Mo. West - East definitely will have the shortest distance of any "away" team in the second round (about 20 yards). This game was an instant classic the first time around. Seeing them play Jeff back to back weeks, they both were impressive. I think West is better, but this game will be a war! I am taking West by 1. Best of luck to all teams. Stay safe!!
  18. I was proud of the Patriots after halftime. They had rolled over in those situations before. Fought DB tooth and nail in the 2nd half. DB is a good team and may beat SC this week. I was shocked by the SS and SD score, but the conditions looked bad. Hardin Valley really put a scare in Sevier Co. before the Bears pulled one out. Mo East and West cruised by Cherokee and Cocke Co. The rematch will be intense. Overall the IMAC went 3-4 in the 1st round, but 2 of the losses were in rematches. Personally, a 4-1 week. Will give my predictions later in the week.
  19. IMAC playoff predictions sure to go wrong. It is a shame that 4 of the Imac teams have to play again in the first round. (6)Hardin Valley @ (3)Sevier County - IMAC champ SC will get a win over a team from west Knoxville...finally! SC by 20+ (8)Cocke County @ (1)Morristown West - Rematch of week 9 game that was a blowout. Not much changes in 2 weeks! West by 20+ (5)Cherokee @ (4)Morristown East - Rematch of early season shootout. I think East has done more improving than Mobuck. East by 14 (7)Jefferson County @ (2)Dobyns-Bennett - Oh No! Anybody but this bunch of [email protected]#$%^&*! DB but not by as many as most think (6)South Doyle @ (3)Sullivan South - Best game involving IMAC team. SD will score (weather really hurt them last week)but can they hold SS. SD wins and plays Knox West next week! Go IMAC
  20. What a great year for the IMAC. 7 of the 8 teams finished .500 or better and 7 will make the playoffs. That is incredible! Great job by the players and coaches of the teams. Good luck in the playoffs. Represent the IMAC well!!
