  1. Any one who beats Farragut is a friend of mine for a few days. Way to go WB.
  2. 1. Sevier Co. 2. Powell 3. Shelbyville 4. Oak Ridge 5. Mt. Juliet What a shock, SCHSBears!! You rank your mighty Bearettes #1. It ain't happening this year. Uner and Co. are choke artists and panic when behind. choke artists what are you talking about.....they have been to the boro for the past two years and have plenty of experience in big games.......also you need to be careful about bashing our players.....who is your team? I am not player bashing or even team bashing. I am stating facts. I do not live in a purple haze with Jimi Hendrix or in a purple world with The Artist formerly known as Prince. Sevier County has played what I would call three quality opponents since Christmas (Heritage, Seymour, and Maryville) and have gone 1-2 versus these teams. My team, since you are so eager to know, is Jefferson Co. Yes, you have beaten us twice, but I am not talking about our games. I just want you to be objective and prepared when your girls are crying in the Regionals.
  3. My point is that you beat all these teams at Christmas. These teams have gotten better, and SC has not. If you played any of those teams with the exception of Mo. West, you would lose. Period!!!

  5. What is his record with his own program?
  6. Since you said to, I will "mock" your words. (I think you meant to "mark" your words. Maryville is not that good (I have seen them play 3 games), WB is awful, and Farragut just is not Farragut. As for my team, they play Greenville, Mo. West (who is down), and others. But, I do not remember calling attention to my team. We are average at best, just like SC.
  7. Last night I had my first opportunity to watch her play, and she did not disappoint. She scored thirty and was on a different level than all those around her. She may be the fastest girl I have seen other than Loree Moore at UT while dribbling the ball. She can create her own shot or one for a teammate (although they usually missed the shot). If you get the chance, go watch her play. She is worth the price of admission!!
  8. The interviews have started, but they will run through the rest of the month. Woods has pulled out. A lot of interest in this job with over 40 applicants. Decision will come mid-March. Let you know more when details become available.
  9. Knox West is horrible. Come on SC fans, talk stuff when you beat somebody good. Your five straight wins are against subpar competition. Granted, you beat some good teams early, but I don't think you make it to the 'Boro. Sorry, now go run track or play softball. Oh yeah, your basketball coach discourages that, doesn't he!!
  10. Ondrus is a good young coach, but he has yet to be a coordinator. Big jump in responsibilities. Trust me, Woods did apply.
  11. MTSU has learned that you cannot be competitive at the DI level with TN athletes. I am sorry, but this is true. Vandy cannot compete in the SunBelt, much less the SEC. Like it or not, GA and FL athletes are better.
  12. I watched the Cleveland team play earlier this year and Charles Little is as good a high school big man I have ever seen.
  13. I really do not know why he would want to leave a program that just went to the state championship game. I am like you Bud. I think he is looking for some controversy.
  14. According to some people, the front runners for the job are ChuckKing from Cumberland College in KY, Don Woods from Morristown West, Erik Hutchins from McMinn Co., and Craig Kisabeth. I have heard the March 1 deadline as well.
  15. After watching them play a couple of times, I would definitely think that Flannery (FB) and Tripatoe (TE) will get an opportunity. Big Ced may get a look from small schools (DIII or NAIA) due to his height. I think Thrope is just a good high school player. Just my opinion though.
  16. Possibly one of the best Super Bowls ever played. The game had everything you want, even more of Janet Jackson than we bargined for, and the referees actually called a great game. Tom Brady is really efficient, and I think the Panthers will be back not too far in the future. Only problem was Phil Simms doing the color!!!
  17. Does anyone know who is on the wish list at South-Doyle?
  18. Redupset, Does your inside source at the White Pine Hardee's have any news on who will coach the Patriots now that Meadows is gone? He seems to have the scoop on more than just Thickburgers!!
  19. Enough already!!! Let sleeping dogs lie!! She is gone, now move on.
  20. I only wish we played football year round!!!!!
  21. My point is that great talent tends to make one a better coach. No coach can win consistently with less talent. Take one of these coaches and put them in Rutledge or Union Co. and see what happens. Sometimes fans expect a coach to work miracles with no players. That is my point
  22. Wonder if they need help supervising the girls on the trip!!!!
  23. It has been a while, so any news on South-Doyle and who they might be interviewing. I have about given up on William Blount ever naming a coach.
  24. Too many people on this thread and site confuse having talent and great coaching. A good coach can only take a team so far. Another thing I hate is when people accuse quality programs of recruiting. The point is that players want to play for winners. If your program is strong, players will do what they need to do to play for your school!! Success breeds Success!!
