Needed a game like this. Couldn’t get a call though. Ally Weathers got hammered going to the basket down one in the last 10 seconds and got no call. One ref was particularly bad. What a clown.

Man this one ref in this Loretto/Creekwood game is awful. Two aren’t bad but one guy is trash.

Yep. Loretto beat Southside 58-47. Had the lead at the end of one by 9 and it bounced around between that and the 11 it ended at. Was good to play at team like that.

Giles Co boys team yelling overrated at Karly when she misses a shot when they’ve lost as many games this year as she has in the last three season is a spectacular example of todays youth and their lack of awareness lol

At the game, Karly looks fine. Hit a 3 for her 2500th point.

Listen, the starters played the first quarter and usually play a couple of minutes in the 3rd coming out of halftime. This play was in the first minute of the 3rd quarter. And not bragging but we have played few games where our starters have played two quarters. Being in shape and being in game shape to play 4 quarters is 2 different things. We will have to play some 4 quarter games in the near future so what do you suggest we do? The 2 Summertown games, the Jackson So Side and Westmoreland games have honestly been the only games our starters have seen extended minutes. I don’t think the play was intentional but it was a foul and should’ve been called and the worst part is you have a scumbag official making a statement like that? He should never do another game again. That entire crew allowed a lot of things both ways. Seeming to get the game over.

Karly’s Facebook post form this morning. Great leader. Great player. Great young lady. Alabama is getting a good one. SENIOR NIGHT This is a day that has gotten here entirely too fast. These three have been my ride or dies for a long time(Autumn(2nd grade), Shelby(3rd grade), and Ju(5th grade)). We have experienced many injuries, tough life situations, loss of loved ones, and trials of every day life together. We’ve won championships and lost championships together. We’ve seen each other in the early mornings and late at night. We’ve seen each other at our worst and best. Not a tough day goes by where one of us doesn’t reach out to the other to encourage them. We’ve went through the blood, sweat, and tears together. We learned early on that basketball is not who we are, but it’s something we do. We’ve played many ball games together, but the relationships that we have built will go much further than the games. On my tough days they find a way to make me smile, and on my good days they find a way to make it better. We don’t tear one another down, but we build each other up. I would do anything for these three. Over the years, they have become my sisters and I can’t imagine what life would’ve been like if I didn’t have them by my side. They make me love the game of basketball because we all understand it’s so much bigger than a ball and a hoop. Although we like to win a whole lot, we are more interested in making each other better in life. We have never cared who gets the credit as long as the job is accomplished. We are all work horses and hope that it leaks into the kids that are below us. I love these girls with everything I have in me. BUT we aren’t finished yet. We have one more run left in us. I wouldn’t want to be a part of a senior group with anyone other than these three!!

Ally never seems rattled. And I’m proud of Laney on how she’s gotten more aggressive and battles. Coco has improved like you said. The Clifton girls bring it every game and I love how JB gets rebounds that she shouldn’t. Autumn is solid as a rock and Shelby will be a big addition once she settled in from missing all that time. Have to keep working and improving up until tourney time.

Loretto 61- Tupelo 44 Super proud of the Lady Mustangs. Great win in that gym against that team. Thought it might get out of hand there for awhile with how physical it got but the girls handled it.

Game last night didn’t help. A lot of shots are on line but short. We’re a little dead legged but we’re battling.

Definitely not getting any calls. Didn’t figure we would. They tried to kill us last year when we played in MS. Plus, we look tired. Game last night and early today has gotten us a little.

Maybe it won’t. Not really worried about that one if we come out healthy. Tupelo is a good team and has some athletes from what I’ve seen. Again, a game that may help us down the road.

Loretto needed a closer, physical game. May have been the 2nd time all year the starters played that much.

On the 28th against Summertown, you may want to get there about 4:00 lol Got there last year at 5 and there was a line almost to the gate to the parking lot.

From Summertown: Loretto 67- Summertown 49 Karly Weathers had 33. Lady Mustangs we’re pretty hot. Hit 13 3’s and went 10-11 from the free throw line. Burdette had 18 for Summertown. Game was hard to watch due to the officiating. Neither team could get in a flow with the constant whistles.

Officials getting way too involved in both sides. Neither team can get in a flow. Two of the top four teams in the state. Get out of the way and let them play. Don’t need a whistle in every possession.

They can beat us but I’ve seen them play more than that one game and they had quite a few turnovers. That was one example that it was really bad. Should be a good game. Lot of stuff to look at. Their ball handling against our pressure. Burdette against our defense. Who, if anybody gets in foul trouble? Anxious to see what happens.

Think Loretto and Summertown will be a good one. As hard to play there as it is in the Barn. Top to bottom, we’re probably the better team but Burdette is a force. Just depends on who values the ball and keeps turnovers to a minimum. Watched Summertown against Richland in their tourney and I think they had 17 first half turnovers. They definitely can’t do that against Loretto and expect to win.

This years team probably moves the ball as well as any I remember. And this is one of our better defensive teams. Enjoy watching them play the game.
