  2. Gleason at Peabody will be played at 4:00 this afternoon.
  3. I hope to be there also and I will be pulling for the Bulldogs. Represent Region 8AA well and end their streak. I know that people here in Trenton , Huntingdon as well as Milan remember the last three semi-final games. Goldentide79 is behind you.

  7. We know what you are going through here at Peabody as we lost one of our football players back in August after he played in his first game. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of this young man. This is happening way too much to so many that are so young.
  8. Outstanding game on both sides. Both teams gave it their all and laid it on the line. It was a wonderful game to watch and I thank you for that. The true losers are the fans by the TSSAA by making these two good teams play in the first round as well as some others in the 2A playoffs. The Westview kids have a lot of class and are very well coached as are the Peabody Kids. Good luck to the Westview seniors and to the Golden Tide through out the remainder of the playoffs.
  9. Kids should be able to participate in as many school activities as they want. At Peabody they have a faculity and staff that works really well together and not act like one program is more important than the other. They are for the kids doing something positive and the more the better. At what point in a persons life can one do so much? It is now while they are in high school. Peabody has a great school and the support from the town shows it in all activities. This is a great town and our kids give something back every time they perform either in football, band or any other activity. No loser can do this type stuff. The city of Trenton is very proud of what our kids have done to this point of the school year. The football team had a good year, the band is always great, and the girls soccer team played well. Keep it up young people. We love watching you doing good things for our community.
  10. I know for a fact that Coach Scott from Peabody is concerned when a player goes down on anyones team. I was with him when he called one of the coaches on Saturday about the Sellers kid from Huntingdon and saw him at the emergency room Monday night after a JV game with another Huntingdon kid that got hurt. He is not just about X's and O's he cares about the kids that represent their school in a positive way. Good luck this week against Dresden.
  11. Good luck from the Peabody Golden Tide. You are a class act and will represent Region 7AA well. Wish I could be there.
  12. Huntingdon won the region in 1996. Huntingdon, Peabody and Westview all had 6-1 region records that year. Huntingdon was first because of the tiebreaker. Westview only played 9 games that year. Huntingdon beat Peabody 14-12 in week 2 in one of the best high school games I had ever seen.
  13. The game is at Whitehaven. The field isn't in as bad of shape as it has been in the past. The field has good grass outside the hashes but some dirt spots in the middle. The stadium is in good shape with plenty seats for everyone that wants to go. Carver's quarterback is the real deal and must be a great student because some Ivy League schools are interested in him. They are a very classy group with the coaches showing the leadership. Good luck to Huntingdon and region 7AA. Donald, Snyder, Weathers and the defense will do a great job under the instruction of Mike Mansfield, Jimmy Pritchard and company.
