  1. Who has ever went to a football game, besides TSU, to see the band?? The football rarely, if ever, knows the band is even at the game. I'm sure some band parents will fill my ear, but they do nothing to help the football team. Bands go to the game for the fans halftime enjoyment. You don't see the football team playing during the halftime of band comp.
  2. Yes, a new Walmart is coming and we have a great baseball/softball park that has just opened up the lake for public fishing, whoo-hoo. Now H-Town has more parks than they do people, lol. Hope you guys don't elect a new mayor anytime soon, Park & Rec is running out of land to put a new park. Maybe yall could put up a billboard with the mayor's name on it instead of a park, or just rename one of the other 50 that's so run down. Now to the football game.... H-town has lost a lot of playoff games they should have won, and I predict this to be another. Carver by 6
  3. prob will take 2, 3, & 4. Don't know about 1, Riverdale for 5
  4. Westview will not have a shot for awhile. Jr-8th graders are all about avg, which is better than most teams. They will make the playoffs, but not much of a shot at the golden ball. But still have a good chance this year. Already shown that they can beat HHS & MHS, really depends on where the ball bounces on that given night.
  5. If it does rain, maybe yall can call UTM and they will practice on it for ya, lol. I think it is supposed to rain a little about Thur, but should be nothing like last year. I don't think UTM will be back on it this year though, they caught more than a little he11 over that.
  6. How could this be an upset, westview beat them 2 weeks ago. I really have to wonder if some people on here really watch any games. You have not watched westview play this year, I'm guessing. "Milan by 35", lol, are you kiddin?? "Guy hurt," he cut his lip, whoopie. Milan's O did so well this past week because of the D from the other team. I must say that Milan has a stable of running backs, but martin's D is a little better than the team last week. I think Huntingdon should worry about the memphis boys before looking to next week. And H-Town should root for Milan, Westview has Huntingdon's number. Westview by 6.
  7. No doubt Milan is "The Program" from west Tn, but Huntingdon has been solid for 30 years also. There have been very few teams to go to H-Town and know they were getting a win..... Huntingdon has great records in the30's 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's & 2000's. They have really shined the last 10 because of the introduction of 5A's in TSSAA. Huntingdon is a great small town that has centered around football since the 1930's.
  8. Got burnt on the UC vs Mckenzie game (good win by the way), so going to take Mckenzie by 7.
  9. Yea, Milan has always been somewhere at the top. Good program & community. They have always been my favorite team to beat, and you always want to beat the best. BUT, they are sorry losers
  10. The west winner will come from 7-2a. Milan, Westview, & Huntingdon are the 3 toughest teams in 2a (outside of Blount County). Alcoa is the strongest, fastest, and most dominating team in 2a, but they can be beat. Usually when a great team gets a loss, it's because they beat themselves. Alcoa can lose, it would be better for the west if Alcoa loss in the semis
  11. Bobby Hayes played at Ole Miss for awhile. He wanted to get married, and at the time most SEC schools would not allow a player to be married. So he headed to UTM and ruled da house
  12. Skeet was one of the best noseguards ever at H-Town, but Johnny King was tough too. Markee Tate (played at MTSU) was great his jr. year, didn't have the line his sr year. Randy Horn(also MTSU) was a good DE. Bobby Hayes and Tim Priest were prob the best two all-around players IMO
  13. Although Milan is not as good as H-Town this year, they usually win the reg season game. BUT, not this year. H-Town will win this game by 14.... And three weeks later Milan will have another L when they play Westview. 1st Martin 2nd Huntingdon 3rd Milan 4th Trenton
  14. With Guy, Martin by 28...... without Guy, Martin by 17
  15. More to Westview than Guy, but he sure does help. With Guy, Martin wins by 20...... without Guy, they win by 7. Dresden is a good team, but they are still another year away from competing with the big dogs (Huntingdon, Westview, & Milan). It will be a hard hittin game just because the rival, but chargers take home the W.

  18. LOL, that's so funny, but true. Stangs 2nd string could win by 10. I don't blame the Rebel fans for having hope, but reality has to take over at some point. Mckenzie does have a chance, (ever seen Dumb & Dumber) just 1 in a 1,000,000.
  19. I can't believe some of you think this will be a good game, lol. If Huntingdon's bus ride is safe, the opening kickoff will be the closes score all night. Stangs will win by 30
  20. AE will win this one, not playoffs yet. Fulton only beats AE when it really counts. As far as talking smack, AE has always had more smack talkers than any other team, even the AE band talks smack
  21. Camden will be fine in the region they are in, but would not make the playoffs in 7-2A. The will get drug across the field again this week. Stangs by 20.
  22. tell Babbs he better hurry if he wants to meet guy, blink your eye and he will be gone.
  23. UC may be in the boro' this year with a 9-1 reg season record, they will lose this one. I don't think it will be close 34-10. Westview has a lot more than Guy, but he sure is good
  24. Knowing KW's family, I'm sure it was the answer to many prayers. Thank God for His helping hand. I will keep you in my prayers KW. Glad to hear you are back to good health
