  1. Not sure on scores but PF over SG and CD over Rut.
  2. Pigeon Forge won both, I'm not sure of the second game score but I believe the score of the first game was 10-5
  3. Maybe A Little Over-Confident, A Little Cocky? Eagles?
  4. It is alot but, PF started 3 juniors half of the year and 3 seniors the other half of the year. Their two senior guards (Garrison and Newman) who started every game with the exception of missing two weeks of games with mono were usually the only locks on starting with the exception of Ramsey (junior) inside which I believe she started every game. They return the District Touney MVP (Rayfield) and the Reg. Season runner up for MVP (Ramsey). I think they will be ok next year. They sure will miss that leadership at the guard position and from Dodgen inside but those girls have taught the girls behind them so much with their work ethic and passion for the game that I think the Lady Tigers will continue to have success. Great season girls!
  5. I'm sure by this you mean orange and black from both Elizabethton and Pigeon Forge. Hehe
  6. If you really wanna know why my spot is so sore here..I'll tell you. I watched all of those games with Coach Johnson, left the gym with Coach Johnson, rode home with Coach Johnson, and slept in the same house as Coach Johnson. (If you haven't figured it out, she is my momma.) thumb Who I might add I am very proud of and am proud of what she has accomplished thus far as coach of the Lady Tigers. Thanks BigShow for the nice comments. I personally have seen a huge change in the way the South Greene fans as well as players act this year. My freshman and sophomore year's I was cussed up and down the court and even yelled at my an elderly man at South Greene and one of my teammates was called a 'B' by the same man. Gunner seems to be either an athelte himself/herself at South Greene or an ill parent. All I can say is good luck to all the District 2AA teams and add again that the reason I got sore about the topic is that I know for a fact mom didnt cheer against South Greene or Chuckey Doak and for you to call her classless and disrespectful just hit me wrong because I know what kind of person that she is. See ya tonight! (BTW..This is not my screen name. Mine is Diamond2, I am just using a friends because I have forgotten my password and should be getting it from Coacht shortly. )
  7. gunner2: I usually dont reply to such ludicrous threads about stuff that honestly doesnt even matter. What matters is who gets the banner and who moves on. But for you to get on here and say that Coach Johnson was cheering for GP and West Greene is honestly and the only way I can say it... a lie and it kinda hits a sore spot. Let me assure you that Coach Johnson does not cheer for any GIRLS teams while they are playing each other and is not at all pulling for one team or the other. (Actually she goes out of her way to remind her girls not to do this as well. Because they know how it feels to get "cheered against") However, her nephew is #23 on Gatlinburg Pittman's boys basketball team. If you saw her cheering for any other team than Pigeon Forge during this tournament then the BOYS basketball team from GP is the one. (Which I certainly dont think is wrong.) So before you get on here and call a coach classless and disrespectful rethink what you're saying and know the facts. Thanks! (And if you are implying to her giving Reeves from GP a hug after the loss to CD, not that it's any of your business, but she coached Iris for a number of years and her daughters played with Reeves from 2nd grade through her sophomore year and her girls and Iris remain to be friends.) So ask yourself again if that is really classless.
  8. pv, i do agree with you on one thing, tyler sauceman is a great player, however, to say that allens name should not even be mentioned in the same sentence with mvp is clearly wrong. allen is a great player and what he has done at pfhs the last four years has been great, he lead his team to district and region championships and a sub-state game, right past sauceman at south greene. if you really look at this year, pigeon forge did a great job after losing SIX seniors who all played huge roles on the team, allen is the only player on this years team to play valuable minutes at all last year. put allen on south greenes team this year and he wouldnt have shinned just like tyler. these two are both great players, lets congratulate these high school kids (thats what a lot of people forget about) and not slam one or the other.
  9. I would choose Nora Ramsey from Pigeon Forge in District 2-AA. Her team went 16-0 within the district and there was not a single player that could shut her down this year.. This may not be the way it turns out but she would definatley have my vote.
  10. Why you dont understand my post is exactly why i referred it to Queen, because it was referring to her last post.
  11. I would have to say the best 5 guards in the district this year are Garrison, Newman, the Wadells (been forced to play post some because of size on team, but will play guard in college), and Parkey
  12. What exactly are the college scouts looking for these days? What is something that all these young ladies must do to move on to the next level.
  13. you cant judge teams on scores of the opponent...if it was that way....Alcoa beat pf on a last second shot...McMinn Central beat pf 12...scores of other games justify nothing.
  14. Brooke is an excellent passer, ask Jessie Petterson and Brittany Mikles how good of a passer she is, Brooke was double teamed all year long and ALWAYS found the open girl, usually for a easy score.
  15. yes it was when they were playing 6 on 6...but that is still alot of points...and for a guard...thats alot of points without a 3 point line...you just asked so i was just giving you a stat...chill.
  16. Congratulations Brooke on such an awesome accomplishment!!!! I know it wasnt a state tournament game but.... Conchita King (Coach Conchita Johnson who coaches the Lady Tigers of Pigeon Forge High School) scored 42 points during her senior year (1977) against Morristown West for the Sevier County High School Bearettes! Again, Congratulations Brooke!
  17. McMinn Central beat Pigeon Forge by 12 I believe...it was over Thanksgiving so I'm sure they have improved as has Pigeon Forge. Good Luck Alcoa.
  18. ooh so you were talking to the refs? hmm i wondered why that last walk wasnt called lol...just messing yall played a good game and came back....we made to many turnovers and missed a few to many foul shots..i give yall all the credit... but oh this student section thing your wrong..sorry hate to break it to you but see we are AA we both have the same amount of students..and we had at least 25 or 30 more than you guys did and were alot louder. but good luck to yall at state!
  19. i believe authority11 is right....SG did play that same defense against Unicoi County and they dont have a girl near as big as Brooke
  20. I do believe that is her choice, and I would almost bet she was rectuited by D1 schools, before you diss her know the facs, maybe she doesnt like being away from home, or maybe she feels she fits in well at Carson Newman, maybe she likes the coaches and the girls?....I'm not really sure but those are just a few things that could have helped her in making her choice. giginago41 or JanaLee would probably know.
  21. After tonights Alcoa vs. PF game I'll have to disagree that the "Marsh Pit" being the best student section...PF had a ton more kids there and they were much louder. Sorry guys.
  22. Sorry all you Alcoa fans who thought PF would get blistered. Alcoa won on a last second shot. Can we say... T-R-A-V-E-L! PF played hard and they have had a wonderful year. Good luck to the Tornadoes in the boro'.
  23. Seymour has alot more than brooke johnson....South Greene double-teamed her the first few times down the floor and the other post girl scored like 8 or 10 straight points...they are far more than a one person team
