just watched the SC vs Seymour film the other day and I'm gonna have to change my prediction to Seymour...unless SC uses Tina differently...

I agree about Killion, I'm not being a sore loser, it was a fair game, but he killed PF girls against South Greene. Hes just very inconsistent with his callings.

crazed student section?....the last SC game I was at the parents were louder than the student section....but maybe the student section only turns up for big games i dont know but this will be a good game...sc by 3

hotmamma---if a coach wasnt allowed to be on school grounds after he was ejected then he wouldnt have been able to stay on Claiborne's school grounds now would he? and i see nothing in the rules about not being able to communicate with anyone inside the gym. coach harper being on school grounds and even getting an update on the score...whether it be radio, cell phone, or any other use...had nothing to do with S.G. losing Friday night. if it was against the rules, which it isnt, the only people at the game that would have been able to do anything about it were the TSSAA refs, not your principal. and as for your principal not letting coach harper in the gym after the game to congratulate his team, that was by far wrong, the game was over and he should have been allowed in there. if there were any mistakes made it was that. but anyways, great win tigers oh and isnt it great when you go to South Greene and see one of the active officials from the association that all the teams in our district use sitting right behind the South Greene bench cheering for S.G. lovley sight huh?

Pigeon Forge pulls the win @ South Greene by 5. Great game. PF up by 9 or 10 at the half and pull it to a 15 point lead during the second half. South Greene made a run and pulled it to within 3 or 4 but couldnt come away with this one! This is all for fun but may I quote some of you.... RHS-"South Greene will roll bigtime" KevB1990-"South Greene rolls" gloryseeker-"I dont believe the TIGERS can beat S.G."......"S.G. will beat the Tigers by 10 at home and click 1st place seed." I know we all call them wrong sometimes. I dont think I even posted my pick for this game, so I cant say much. Looks like Coach Wright and Lethco and the TIGERS had a little different plan in mind. Great game by both teams! Season District Co-Champions. Tigers go into the tournament with 1st place and South Greene will go in at 2nd. Great Game!

I think the district coaches had a meeting yesterday about the tournament and about regular season MVP, all-district awards, honorable mentions, and coach of the year. Does anyone know who received what?

Against West Greene @ West Greene I know that Pigeon Forge only played their starters for 1 maybe 2 quarters, and Austin Woodrick did not play at all. So I imagine it was probably the same at home. Maybe just showing class? But I could be wrong. Correct me if I am.

I saw Sevier Co play William Blount @ SCHS. Sevier Co. is good, dont get me wrong. But they are not where near what they were when they won their state title. I'm not counting them out, they just arent what they were then. Only two players impressed me against William Blount, and that was Whitney Flemming and Jacquline Kremer. Tina and Melissa didnt impress me that much, Tina a little, but Melissa none, but one games nothing, I've seen them play before and I know that they are good. People from SCHS in the stands were saying thats the best game they had played all year too, and if thats the truth, I dont see anyway they can win state. So hopefully the people that were saying that dont know what they were talking about. Dont get me wrong I'm not counting them out, and I'm for Sevier Co to win state, they are just no where near what they were when they won the state title a few years ago.

Allen Dewyse was elbowed intentionally in the middle of the throat at had real trouble breathing and looked seriously hurt, and Coach Harper didnt like that it was a no call, and yes he probably deserved the first technical, but then he went and sat back down at his bench and another ref (one that didnt call the technical) walked over and stood right in front of Harper just fishing for a reason to throw Harper out, and while he was over there I guess Harper said something while seated not directly towards any ref, and was tossed. Ive seen coaches do alot worse things and not even receive the first T, but I'll have to say he did deserve the first one, but not the second, after one T has been called refs should stay into the game and not go looking for a reason to call another one. But oh well, Claibrone played very well and got the win. Nothing taken away from them.

Pigeon Forge host West Greene tonight. Yes, Claiborne took Pigeon Forge last night, but dont get cocky, I'm sure it might have been a little different if Allen wouldnt have gotten hurt intentionally and coach wouldnt have got tossed because of Allens injury. Great win for Claiborne though, I'm not trying to take anything away from you though, great game.

Thanks! I'm glad she wont be out for longer! The paper said something about her breaking her shoulder bone or something, and I thought for sure that meant out all year. I'm glad thats not true. So I guess that means she didnt play against Heritage? Very impressive win without your starting senior guard.

Brooke Johnson should win no doubt, she hasnt got all the hype she has deserved all 4 years like these other 3, and i dont know if she will win, but she should

did i ever say they havent in the past? no i never said that, i was not trying to bash Sevier Co in any way what so ever, Sevier Co is a class act and they always have been, what my point is, is that you cant expect high school kids to show NO emotion after a win like this, maybe it was a little much, but like i said their emotions took over all logic

I am not associated with either team in any way, it was just a good game. Would you be excited if you had just beaten a nationally ranked team who no one excpet the people sitting in the dressing room with you before the game thought you could beat them? I do believe so. I agree that Heritage should have shaken Sevier Countys hands before their celebration but in cases like this emotion takes over the logic. If Seiver County makes it to the title game and that is a very huge possibility and they win and show no emotion what so ever and run straight and shake hands then we will see, even region and sub-state for that matter. And I know you will all say that a win for Heritage in the regular season over Sevier Co is not that big of a deal compared to that, but when you have worked SOO hard and set your mind to something and set it as your goal, when you reach that particular goal emotion takes over. Please let these girls have a little fun. After it had set in and they came back to their senses yes they went and shook hands. Its high school ball, let them have a little fun. Brooke a dirty player? I dont think so just seems like your excuse for not winning, it may have looked like over the back but for the refs to call it the girl under Brooke has to make the effort to make contact and actually back her up and box her out now if all of that was done and Brooke was still over the back then you can say that, but if your girl doesnt actually box her out then its not over the back and 9 times outta 10 when people are complaining about over the back the girl under neath just simply isnt boxing out. Just my theory. Seymour and Seiver Co are both GREAT basketball teams. Congrats Seymour and Good Luck to both teams the rest of the year!

just because a coach likes a ref doesnt mean hes all "buddy buddy" with him as you like to say maybe Wheelers the only half decent ref in the area and hasnt screwed them over yet? who knows? but i can tell you that Wheeler is not a personal favorite to anyone at Pigeon Forge, last year in the district tournaments coach Harper was half way out on the court on his knees in Wheelers face so I'm sure hes not a favorite, but this is enough about this topic move on.
