Thanks Swo.Usually goes away in 4 or 5 days .But now been close to 3 weeks and still swollen. Got a shot last Monday and seemed to finally be getting better but last night couldn't sleep .Didnt go to the middle school game last night and it was only a block away from my house .But I plan on hobbling to the high school game tonight and sit in the bleachers .Very painful

I'll keep an eye on 12 tomorrow night .And 34 which I'm sure wont be too hard from reading about him.Hoping for a good injury free game,

Lake Co has a pretty good 10th grade running back that is hard to get hold of .Hard to find at about 5'5 and 150 lbs .Runs hard .May end up being like some of those scatbacks Huntingdon had years ago .Just young but very talented.

As for the Tubbs kid, I know with Hornbeak and Tiptonville only being maybe 10 miles a part and his mother lives in Hornbeak and his Dad in Tiptonville ,hope he doesn't think he can flip flop back and forth by going to Central and Lake Co. If I'm not mistaken ,he was allowed to go to school anywhere his freshman year. Now he is back at Lake Co which he can play immediately by moving back in to his Dad's home. But I think a person is only allowed 1 move .So I hope he realizes he has his one move without sitting out if I'm correct on the rules.

I think LC will be fine .WC has played two top teams in Mckenzie and Dresden but did give up a ton of points against Dresden which I think most of us are going to do this year as well .I saw the Bruceton score and then saw that Bruceton gave up 64 points to South Fulton so I feel good about Lake Co's chances even though they are young .Lake Co by 2 touchdowns

I'm on board still with this team..Havent been able to hardly walk the last 2 weeks due to severe gout attack.Had to go to Dr.Naifeh and get a shot last week after severe swelling for close to 2 weeks

They have been sharpened up .Coach Sharp is going to turn those Panthers loose Friday night .Lewis Co by 2 touchdowns.

I agree with you about Hold.First time seeing him play.Matheny looked good on a couple plays I heard his name.Was disappointed in the line play as far as rushing the QB.A lot of things that happened in that game may not happen again.About 5 plays could have made the bloopers.As far as the kids moving to other schools,I'm was just wondering about Tubbs.Knew I didnt see him.I heard he went to Obion central.But like you,we have a good young team without them.Just gives someone else a chance.I think this team will get better and in a couple years could be like they once was.I hope they do.Then those players that left to go the bigger schools may go to a school that will get wins but I dont think will compete for championships.So if Lake Co were to maybe go to the State and have the community all around them,wonder if they wished they'd stayed.Dyersburg will win games but dont think they will compete for a championship.Obion Central probably won't win many games and sure not a championship,so dont know why he'd go to school there.But like you said,no big deal.We have some great looking young talent.

If we can get players to stay home.Starting running back for Dyersburg ,a junior lives in Lake Co.Quarterback from undefeated middle school regular season lives in Lake Co is a freshman at Dyersburg. Dont know about the star running back from the middle school last year,the Tubbs kid.Don't think I saw him last night.So he may be somewhere else as well

Anyway,Congrats to Halls.I like playing the Tigers.Have played them a long time.

I said I wasnt sure about TCA but I look for Halls to give them a game.

Yall may get 2nd or 3rd.I just think we're a year away from being a pretty good team and 2 years away from being a top team.I think LC battles for 4th between South Fulton and Humboldt.

HHS.Just looked at Halls and Lake Co's schedule .Want to go back at end of year to see if I'm right about the records.I have Lake Co winning 3 to 6 games.Losing to UC-Dresden for sure and dont know how good Trenton is this year.Humboldt,West Carrol,South Fulton could be games they could win.After looking at Halls schedule,for AA I think it's a pretty easy schedule.Looks like TCA and JCS is down.Looks to be easy wins over Gibson co,Fulton City,Oakhaven,Fulton co.So 5 wins for sure.Have Halls losing to McKenzie and Adamsville.So I think Halls goes 8-2 and at worst 7-3.because of the schedule.And I dont think McKenzie is as good as Dresden and Union city in our Single A region.And am wondering if Adamsville may be down without the running back.So.I think Halls goes 8-2 because of their schedule.If they were in the region with us.At best probably 7-3.

By the way,not blaming the loss on any one player or the QB.Overall he did a good job.Just dont have a lot of weapons other than Johnson and Ismail around him.They're a young team.Just a lot of fluke plays went against LC.

Not going to get UC and Dresden riled up this year.Going to be ugly.Waving the white flag now

Stay home when UC plays the hapless Falcons.Not sure we'd beat South Fulton.

Yes,long post but game should have been closer than the score.Halls and LC both are just average teams with Halls being just a little better.

Got a lot of things to work on.Good thing tis that Lake Co is a young team.Saw some good things.Terrible things from the secondary and no pass rush at all.Dont think LC ever got close to the Halls QB.LC had a 14-13 l;ead with about 5 minutes to go in the half.Halls was facing a 4th and 17.Thought they may punt but went for it.Short LC defender was in front of the receiver playing the ball and the Halls player jumped over him for a first down.Halls scored a couple plays later.Then Halls kicks off,a good return to midfield.LC ball carrier has the ball standing straight up and stripped of the ball and Halls ball carrier runs the other way for a touchdown.Later LC quarterback has the ball,going to throw the ball untouched and in throwing motion and just like the bloopers,ball comes out of his hands and Halls recovers at midfield and scores again.Both teams were in each others 10 yard line a couple times with no score.LC was on about the 6 yard line and had a 3 and 4 and a running back flinched to move the ball back 5 yards.Things like that really hurt the Falcons.LC let Halls defenders burn them constantly and had Halls not overthrew a receiver a few times,would have had a lot more yardage.LC needs someone to help Johnson run the ball.He had some great runs .QB ran the ball for about 10 or 12 times amd may have picked up 10 yards.total.Would be nice to have a mobile QB .Halls took advantage of a lot of LC miscues and tried running up the score.Nine minutes to go in the game and winning 47-14 and throwing the ball every play with their starters.Then with about 5 minutes left,they get the ball again about mid field.Halls goes to a no huddle the rest of the series and are faced with a 4th and 4 at about the 10 yard line.Decide to kick a field goal.Like people say,buckle up the pants and stop them but was surprised to see all the starters still in the game for Halls at that stage.Would have been terrible to have had the QB or #21 go out late in the game with an injury although I know that can happen at any time.Overall.Just two average teams.I dont think Halls has much of a running game.Not that strong on defense either.Going to see a lot of teams better than LC and LC did move the ball on them.Think LC wins 3 to 4 games.Halls may go 5-5 or 6-4 depending on the teams in their region.Dont know what JCS has this year and I think Adamsville lost their star running back.IF Halls were in Single A ,think they'd fight it out for 3rd or 4th place behind Dresden and UC.Could be close with Trenton and Humboldt and maybe South Fulton.Halls just took advantage of a young LC team that will get better.Just dont have the secondary,defensive lineup that can attack and really could use a mobile QB.The QB did ok and certainly didnt lose the game.If he had more weapons around him,he'd do fine.But he doesn't and not mobile enough to get out of trouble.UC and Dresden will pound this young team.

Looks like its going to be a rainy season opening game.My head is saying Halls but my heart is saying Lake Co.Halls has a good quarterback,running back and two very good receivers,one being 1st team preseason all-state.Lake Co is very young and just hoping they can defend the pass .Have to keep the turnovers down to have a chance.
