  1. excuse me it was 14AAA not 15AAA that is a day and 1/2 behind. I believe that 15 and 16AAA are rigth about on schedule, but im not sure.
  2. bizazz, i play at bartlett, just outside memphis, and we have had only one game all year cancelled due to water on the field, and the one that has been cancelled today. Though we have lost 2 other games due to lightning, but overall there are some great fields around here, and yall are only gonna get to see a few of them. Too Bad for yall!!!
  3. While i cant speak for other districts, district 15AAA is now a day and a 1/2 behind. We were supposed to be done by wed, but it is now looking like it could be as late as Friday, assuming the rain stops. Problem is, we are playing at bolton high, the only team in the ditrcit without a field tarp! If a game starts but is ppd due to lightning, does the game go back to where it was or do you restart it?
  4. pomeranz plays at houston
  5. why do you guys on here still not talk about taylor bennet of covington, who signed with miss st., or stuart pomeranz, who is gonna go in the early rounds of the draft if not the first?
  6. How are you guys over-looking stuart pomeranz and ryne porter at houston??? Stuart is surely gonna to be the highest drafted player in the state, and porter is going to ole miss, along with alex kliman from gtown!
  7. I would ove to have a problem like some of you guys are complaining about. You act like the world will end, when in fact is a privledge to be there. I would love to give up wallking across the stage next year to play in the STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS, no matter where it is! If it is here in Memphis so be it, we have some of the greatest facilities in the state! And whats better is they are all centrally located. The farthest away from the others is briarcrest, but thats still only a short drive form i-240!!! Find something better to complain about than an experience you will never forget no matter where it is!!!
  8. On bartlett's schedule, it says that we lost to briarcrest 17-0 and thats wrong. We are actually about 16-10, but i dont know how to correct that score, but it is wrong!
  9. Coach Pavette and Coach Clark are two of the best coached in all of high school baseball! i am proud to say, i won coach clarks first baseball game at bartlett and denied coach pavette his first win at briarcrest! Perhaps my only claim to fame...jgbcs is your name josh germany?

    WOW!

Chase hardin throw's back-to-back complete game shutouts in district play! Last week it was munford in a 3 hit effort, and this week it was bolton to the tune of no hits and 15 k's. This kid is a force to be recken with right now!
  11. all the east-west hype gets put on hold when a fellow athlete gets hurt! God Bless he and his family, and this bartlett baseball player will be praying for him until it is known that everything is fine! Really brings things into perspective for ya! "Play every game like it is your last!" And i pray that if he wishes to continue in sports he is able!
  12. just a question, but how can they be better? Didn't they get waxed by collierville just 2 days ago? Collierville MAY be the 4th best team in the shelby county school system
  13. germantown is the best team in the state, i would like to see them play farrugat, or however you spell it.
  14. Can't have this discussion without tossing Alex Klinman in the mix. One of the best catchers I have seen. He signed with Ole Miss and played back-up all last year. He is a great left handed hitter, will give problems to the best pitcher in the state. Another good one I think is Nate Eason of Bartlett, not the best by far, but is well built has good feet, a strong arm (doubles as our rf), and handles a pitcher better than any I have ever seen. Coach had him calling games his freshman year, though it was jv, smart kid!
  15. bartlett is 13-4 with wins over houston, braircrest, ecs 2x, covington, beech, oak ridge, millington 2x in district, and losses to houston, jackson northside and 2 teams from out of state
  16. corey rudolph, a 6'2/6'3 rhp for bartlett, picked up probably 5-7 mph to his fastball this winter. He is already 2-0 this spring with a save. Hard to deny him his spot as a top soph. Another to watch for is Tyler watson at houston, he is their #4 pitcher and is 2-1 this springt hus far
  17. Bartlett won behind the great pitching, like it has done all year. Houston scored 4 unearned runs on starter Chase Hardin, as he left the game after the 5th and got the win. Junior Steven Thomas got the 2 inning save, only giving up one hit and no runs. That makes Bartlett 13-3 on the season!
  18. i would belive white station's would have to be Ernest Shelton. there have been many other greats just in recent years, but i only know of the last 4 or so years
  19. I know this isnt tennessee, but last year bartlett went down to new orleans, and we played on the best field short of professional that i have ever seen. They were just finishing it when we got there for the tournament. It probably had room for 3000, and the walls were fiberglass (???) i belive, or some sort of soft metal like structure. It was a great field, but around memphis i would have to say gtown, houston, and millington (who play in usa stadium)
  20. johnnybravo, how many games did you actually see bradshaw play? around here we got to see him play quite a few games, 2 against us (bartlett) and in both games we were making a charge only to be put on hold by bradshaw's ability. In the sub-state he had 3 straight lay-ups on us and took the game from 3 points to 9 just like that. Give him a chance to prove himself bc if nothing else he will give you all he has got!!! Go Vols!!
  21. My mom teaches at craigmont, in the planetarium actually, and i have grown up seeing kids, black white privlidged and poor, come through her door and leave with a great education and love for science. I have talked to some of these kids who use open enrollment to get themselves to a better place in life, and you know what, not a single one of them was an athlete. Find me proff somewhere that everyone of those white station kids live outside there district then you might have an argument
  22. coacht, bolton and munford's district records are wrong, but i dont know how to change them. Munford lost to bolton in the second game, 4-3. the scorebard shows munford winning by the same score as the day before, but they lost to bolton
  23. linkin park-papercut saliva-your disease hoobastank nitty gritty dirt band-fishing in the dark eagle-get over it ALMOST ANY COUNTRY SONG, that is with a decent rhythm and a southern point to it
  24. you cant have a thread on defense without mentioning the AAA powerhouses of memphis, in Bartlett and White Station
  25. G'town was national champs in '95, and housotn did have a a guy go in the first round, his name was matt cain. And they will likely have 2 guy over the next 2 years go early in the draft
