  1. WAY TO GO EAGLES!!! Great-job on D, especially to Frank C. and Wes L. on the "Twin Towers" (chuckle) Everybody showed up good on D tonight. Kudos to the coaches!! They must have done their homework. It will be a barn-burner with C-Wood.. Can somebody fill us in on individual scoring? /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  2. To all the 1-A Teams in the state......YOU DONT HAVE TO BE "SKEERD" OF RICHLAND ANYMORE!!! Summertown- 54 *** Richland- 52
  3. Richland didnt have any time-outs left. And it doesnt look like Richland's coach spent too much time looking at film, or S'town's coach did!
  4. Don't forget Miss T, she got hurt, she didn't quit. Plus you have to consider Jennifer Peterson MVP for stepping up after the lose of Franks & Tucker.
  5. After all the jazz, they still lost to 2, 12-A teams this week. And they're not close to being as strong as usual. Every coach knows you have to play well enough to overcome the ref factor. Everyone has an opinion!
  6. Everyone forgot who coaches S'town. Slick Willie & The Ladies aren't going to fade away gracefully. Saw 3/4 of game. He just out coached C'wood. Not to take anything away from players, because they had to do it. It's still a team to reckon with. Final was S'town by about 10.
  7. Check this out! Summertown had their injury last year, now their post, Ms. Franks has quit! All kind of rumors about why, but she signed with Freed-Hardeman a day or two after, go figure. Everyone needs to forget about them & let'em sneak back in the Boro. Phil Willard is a great coach, this won't get him down, or the team. I believe they took Wayne Co. to the cleaners last nite by 20.
  8. give a little info, does this have anthing to do with a MISS BASKETBALL nomination?
  9. NC's assistant was having some kind of heart problem. His pacemaker-shocker kicked in. He was still sitting up when I left gym. Paramedics were there helping. Sure hope everything works out ok for him. Please give update on coach when available. And somebody give the Fraizer kid a hose-down, cause he was on FIREEE! How many points did he have?
  10. Why was this an upset? CA just played in your face defence & stopped the 3 ball. Plus they wanted to win, had some fire in their eyes. And that my friend is all it takes to beat Trotter & Co.
  11. Congratulations to the Lady Eagles. Sorry to hear Tamia Tucker will have to have knee surgery. She contributes greatly to their success. At least they get to play at home Sat. nite. Let the party begin.
  12. Sorry Lady Raiders, but (pointless) Summertown just took home court for sub-state. Sounded like a good hard fought game. Good luck to both teams.
  13. ARE YOU JUST A LITTLE BIAS TOWARD 12A? WE DON'T HAVE ANY DOMINANT TEAMS LIKE WAYNE CO. WAS IN 2000 & 2001. I AGREE WE HAVE SOME TOUGH TEAMS, BUT GIVE THE REST OF THE STATE SOME CREDIT. 4 12A TEAMS IN THE TOP 12, NO WAY. WOULD BE NICE, BUT NO WAY. OH YEAH, GO LADY EAGLES!!!
  14. UPSET #1 - PC OVER CULLY BY 3 WC OVER SANTE FEE BY 21 S'TOWN OVER HUNTLAND BY 15 MP OVER CA BY 11 WC OVER PC BY 9 MP OVER S'TOWN BY 5 WC OVER MP BY 13, THE END
  15. Even tho S'town won Tue., I think Moore Co. got a real bad match-up with PC in region. That should be a game to watch. S'town did something I don't think has been done before, won girls & boys district tournament. GO EAGLES & LADY EAGLES
  16. S'town Braden 16, 2-3s Smith 12, 4-3s Nance 12, 2-3s Klinghard 9 Holden 6 Carrington 5, 1-3 Mt. Pleasant Grandberry 17, 1 nasty OOP Addonis 17, 2 slams Dailey 8 McNeese 7 Jones 6 Gaines 2
  17. It really matter who wins, cause the loser will catch a bunch from Mt. Pleasant that's ready to kick somebody bad after tonight.
  18. They let them play to much & someone finally got hurt. Hope it's not to bad. Mt. Pleasant # 41 I believe. Does anyone have any info on his knee? Oh yeah, Trotter actually coached a good game.
  19. This would be a tough pick. But to me the guy who takes the toughest defensive assignment, gives up his body on charges, helps get the ball down the floor, can pick up the scoring slack of other (better) players & can shoot from 25 ft. gets my vote. JASON SMITH S'TOWN.
  20. Thats a possibility, cause any of the 4 can take the other on any given nite. I'm afraid PC might be getting their groove back. If so, look out everyone. S'town will be the only one to give them any trouble.
  21. Sorry, got that one wrong. I just hate sore losers who try to blame a loss on something besides the truth. Which in this case was WC let it get away from them. Could be reversed next game.
  22. Was at game. Neither team can claim the ref's beat them because they were inconsistent for the game. We just remember the last one's because those calls seem to be the difference. But you have to consider all calls during the game. It's unfair to the young men playing to be taught good defence, then have calls go opposite of that. Something's wrong when it takes a ref 5 seconds to make a decision on a charge call. Do you think they have built in replay?
  23. You were right about the Loretto/Summertown game, it was a BURNER-R at the BARN in Loretto. Was a big ladies show between Loretto's Cross & S'towns Franks. With the game on the line, it was good D & the speed of Tamia Tucker that won it for S'town.
  24. I hear that. Does anyone forget who's in 12-A ? Even though they're having a rough year, don't count out Perry County when tourney time comes. How many times have we seen the # 4 team take out the # 1 in region play? (many). All this talk & speculation does little to affect the game where it's WIN--YOU GO ON, LOSE YOU GO HOME.
  25. JUST MY OPINION, BUT, UNTIL OUR MIDDLE TN. TEAMS COME UP WITH SOME DIV. 1 QUALITY PLAYERS, WE CAN'T HANDLE THE WEST COAST BOYS. YEAH WE GET TO THE BORO, BUT IT'S ONE & DONE. LACK OF REAL TALENT SHOWS UP THERE. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I LOVE HIGH SCHOOL B-BALL, AND I'LL BE PULLING FOR MY TEAM, OR THE ONE FROM THE AREA THAT GETS TO THE BORO.
