Sorry Balla, Edney can win it for P.C. She will probably have more points in the first half than M.C. had in a game last week, 16 I think, she is that tough! She might take 40 shots but she will have 30 points and the baby blue will go down, sorry! I'm a realist!

Thanks JR. I'm sure you know W.C. basketball enough to know that 4th place in the district is very unusual territory for them. That is probably one reason for the lack of fan support. The other being the first round game and the 1 hour and 45 minute drive. I'm sure you will find plenty of fans there tomorrow night, however, when both teams will be playing for a shot at the finals. Congratulations PG, I have a feeling that after tonight its only going to be 12-A left in this thing. That's no disrespect to 11-A but i'm sure they will be able to see what we have all been playing with this season. Its probably the strongest, overall, that I can remember our district in many years. Thanks for believing in us! I have felt all year that our talent was underated. When they get everything on the same page they can play with anyone. People may think that I am crazy too but i'm riding some pretty high hopes on your gals against P.C. There is too much junk talked on here. ptguard, did WC win? By following the progression I am assuming that they did, though I hate to assume. Anyway, by that assumption congratulations. I knew that it would happen. I'm looking for a 12-A sweep. Hey, it would even be awesome to see a Wayne County sweep wouldnt it?! Good Luck! Or should I say, good coaching, I want to see you get P.C. I have almost quit getting on because I spend SO MUCH TIME when I do. I'm still amazed that there is no more buzz than this over this game. I really dont think this is a case of my emotions getting the best of me. Oh well, life goes on. The better half is not the biggest sports fan but she doesnt make it home from school in time on Tuesdays anyway. She usually makes the Saturday games to see her best friend play but i'm thinking I might can get her out to a tournament game or two. I'll tell her you said hello and we'll see you soon.

I'm surprised at the low number of posts about this game. It's probably because the Collinwood Fans are still trying to sort things out and the Loretto fans are still shocked that they won. I have to send a round of applause to Henry Phillips and the rest of the officiating crew. I'm sincere when I say that was the worst I have ever seen. A game should never be decided by the referees but that is exactely what happened last night. Those Collinwood girls were cheated out of that win. Now I know most people will say "well, they have to learn that life is hard" but last night was to the point of ridiculous. Congratulations to the Loretto seniors on their last home win. They hit the big shots when they had to. Congratulations to the Collinwood players that did not give up until the end and hit some pretty big shots as well, for a game where the only thing at stake was pride you sure fought hard to win. Burn it up in the tournaments!!!

Don't know about Edwards, but I have heard rumors of Joe Gray being considered. I hope Collinwood looks at as many candidates as possible before making a decision. I'm afraid there won't be very many coaches apply for the job. I hope I'm wrong. This could be a good opportunity for a coach willing to come in and work hard and get some of the kids to leave the hallways and onto the court. There is some talent in Collinwood. We just need a good coach to develop it.

Hey guys, Gosh, its good for the fingers to be typing on the keys again. Thelma has had somewhat of a setback on the message boards, but I HAVE been keeping track of things. Things havent gotten out of hand yet, so i have remained silent. I want to hear some opinions about the Wayne County girls team and the Collinwood boys team. KEEP IT NICE AND SERIOUS!!!!! Hey Lions 23, i appreciate you wanting to hear from me. Though i'm not around as much as I used to be and can't really 'feel' the waters at home, I did know enough NOT to make my prediction on CoachT. I wish I could have seen you there but I am glad that you had better things to do. Justin did a super job, as WELL as the rest of the Wayne County team AND the Collinwood boys played well. That is the second game that I have seen them play in as many weeks and they were definately improved from last week. I agree with you Lion, Justin is in a better atmosphere from a coaching perspective this year. I think, though, that the fans are the same and I know he is feeling as much support from the Wayne County contingent as he did from the Collinwood crowd, I am thankful for that. I was somewhat encouraged by the reaction of the crowd last night. You will always have certain ones that cannot contain their jealousies, no matter what. What we all have to realize is that when anger and jealousy rears its ugly head, it is only a front for some underlying issue. Because of his work ethic, Justin Bryant will be successful no matter where he plays. I would consider it an even greater success if everyone else could move on now! glad to give my opinion, Thelma

I'd like to know what you are talking about. Why don't you inform all of us what's going on here in Wayne Co. I don't know of any kids playing for Collinwood that is not living here. That doesn't mean there isn't any, I just don't know of any. I know a Collinwood basketball player went to play in Waynesboro, but his parents rented a house and moved so he could do that. If you know something, please inform all of us......

I agree that region 6 is up for grabs this year, but I don't understand the statement that Collinwood has to prove themselves. They are still 3 times defending region champs and it is the rest of the teams that must beat them to win this region. Collinwood may not win a game this year, but until another team wins reg 6, they don't have anything to prove. It is a little bit of a rebuilding year for the Trojans, but they do have some good athletes returning that have gotten a lot of playing time the past 2 years. This should be one of the most competitive years in reg 6 in years. Collinwood will not be a push over. I look to see Collinwood, Cascade, Wayne Co., Forrest and Huntland to be in the thick of things. I think newcomer Eagleville will surprise a few people this year and Mt. Pleasant will be greatly improved. It will be an exciting year and I'm looking forward to it. Vic

First Off, Ward broke his wrist well before the TN-KY All-Star game. It had calcium deposits built up on it where it had been so long since he had done it. He was not suppose to play QB in the Shrine game. He couldn't play in the Shrine game because he wasn't selected for the team. A player can only play in one of the All-Star games. He has not been redshirted as of yet. He has actually moved up to 1st team on the goal line offense. He is doing a great job at MTSU to this point. I know his family is really proud of him as well as his friends. I talked to Jon about a week ago and he was really enjoying football at MTSU. If I hear any more I'll post it on here. Collinwood has some other kids doing a good job in college so far. Jacob Victory and Scottie Rich are both slated to start in their 1st game at Bethel on Aug. 28th at Nicholls St. Matt Stults, who graduated in 2002 will also get a lot of playing time on defense at Bethel. We are proud of all these kids and wish them continued success. This is vic and not thelma, I'm just posting this under her sign-in.

I have not done any work toward getting the team together. The girls from Lawrence County do want to play again but I really don't get much of a feel from anyone else.
