  1. And you were right Guess Who. Pickel did hurt his hand last night and had to leave the game. Hope he is okay.
  2. Cleveland 6 and Ooltewah 2
  3. was not trying to take away anything from the kid by saying how hard he was throwing bc i was just going by what the guns said, or by talking about him holding runners. He was impressive like I said, but something not impressive was how 3rd base was stolen off him three times never giving the catcher a real chance... there is more to holding runners than a good pick up move, its not called varying your times and looks, he did not do that. Sorry if i offended you by giving the kid a lot of a credit and a little constructive critism. Third base was stolen one time in the second inning. Delmonico stole third and then got thrown out at the plate on a ball hit back to the pitcher.
  4. I'm from Cleveland and I think it was an excellent scrimmage. Farragut, you have a great team, very disciplined and showed great sportsman like conduct. Hats off to you! Maybe we'll get to meet up with you again. Maybe in Memphis.
  5. Well, in my opinion Paul Davis and Dave Mason are two of the best ball players in the area. They can do it all!
  6. I vote for Paul Davis. Had an excellent summer and fall with the Chattanooga Cyclones. He and Carver were a great team!!
  7. Cleveland scrimmages Soddy Daisy Friday night at 7:00 at Soddy. Cleveland scrimmages Walker Valley Saturday at 11:45 at Central; Central at 3:15 at Central; and Baylor at 5:00 at Central.
  8. Cleveland is scheduled to scrimmage McCallie this afternoon at 3:30.
  9. I agree with you GuessWho. Carver has the best arm around. He's already signed with UGA. He's very consistent and has good velocity. Paul Davis has a great side arm. Saw him pitch some over the past year. Very impressive. Wilkes has the speed, but not very consistent. Is he going to Kentucky as a pitcher? I have to be honest, I've not been very impressed with Ryan Moore when I've seen him. I hope he is better than what I've seen. Maybe he was having an "off" time. Hope he does well his senior season. Sure hope Kellen Pickel recovers from his injury and can pitch this season! He's a great athlete!!
  10. I heard that Cleveland is scrimmaging Farragut.
  11. I think Cleveland will have the best team in 5AAA. They have some great seniors - Carver, Koch, Barber, Mundy, Davis. They also have some very good underclassmen. Pitching should be strong.
  12. Cleveland should be the team to beat in 5AAA. I believe they will be strong in pitching.
  13. He pitched 6 innings against Bradley in the district championship. He gave up 2 hits, 0 walks and had 10 K's. Cleveland won 10-1.
  14. Hats off to Westmoreland who had a GREAT game!! Hats off to Carver for being back on the mound again! Great to see him!
  15. Jon Koch pitched an excellent game last night for Cleveland. He also had 6 RBI's and hit a grand slam. Blake Carver is pitching tonight for Cleveland.
  16. They didn't cover the Cleveland - NW Whitfield game either.
  17. Who won in the McMinn Co. vs. Cleveland game last night?
  18. PC Wildcat is Brandon who is pretending to be Josh Couch.
  19. Hey PC Wildcat. I KNOW WHO YOU ARE. It's a shame you are using someone else's screen name and portraying that person in a way they are not. JC is not egotistical at all! Evidently, Brandon, you don't know baseball either, the homerun that was hit was off a curve ball -- not a fast ball.
  20. I agree with you Pureheat. Blake Carver is an awesome pitcher. I hear there are several DI schools interested in him. He was clocked at UT pitching 88 mph, but I think he usually pitches around 85-86 mph.
  21. He must have really improved from the summer. I saw him pitch at Lee University. It looked like he was throwing in the low 80's.
  22. Does anyone know anything about Kyle Clayton? Tall leftie from Cleveland?
