  1. Whoa, this should be quite a game. Alcoa is loaded, no doubt about that, losing only two key players, this team has exactly that: a team mentality. I've seen these Alcoa boys play against the big dog, Maryville and they held their own. However, Rockwood has always been one to be underestimated. (Think sweetwater last year). I see the tigers really preparing hard for this game. With an impressive defense, as usual, and the tiger offense really getting opened up this year, I see a much closer game than you guys are predicting. Honestly, the talent of the tiger team doesn't match the athleticism of a speedier Alcoa, but I know these rockwood boys, and they're tire of heartbreaking losses. Good luck tigers, don't disappoint me.
  2. Why, you callin' me out? It was "..." that got the wheels turning. I was just commenting on the dirty style of play from O.S. That's dirty, that is not football. This was the whole game, occurences like that. You be the judge.. You WILL watch the language!

Nice rundown there ACCARP. OS better be at the top of their game if they're expecting to go to State. Rwood, and Alcoa are both lookin at a chance to get back at 'em and knock 'em off their high horse. Rwood has a little extra incentive. One they would put OS's "undisputed" status as county champs in jeopardy. Secondly, this would give the Tigers a chance to again prove themselves in the region against Alcoa in Rd 3. Given they make it past Happy Valley. Which is gonna be a heck of a game.
  4. Harriman would finish their senior season. 2-38. 30 is the current loss number. Looking to 'improve' on that next year too. I'd sure hate to be the team that ends up snappig their losing streak.
  5. Been a while fellas. I've been busy, not able to get on and post. Anyway, Like I've said all year, this one is gonna come down to who wants it more. Last year Rwood gave Happy Valley a game they'd rather forget the first time around but the second one the Tigers only put together half a game; a defensive one. Now, both teams are on a roll and neither is looking to give any lee way. Rwood 8-2 Regular Season. Happy Valley 9-1 Regular Season. History shows us that Region 2 is generally better than Region 1 but this one doesn't seem to fit into that category. These teams are almost mirror images of the other. Big and Quick up front. Explosive back fields. Young QB's. It has all the makings of a great one. I see Rwood takin' it though. They've put in too much this season to give it up now, plus they have that vengance on their side. That drive to want to get back at Oliver Springs. So they're not only playing for one game but for two. To win this one and let Region 1 know that they are for real. And to get back at a dirty team, needing to be knocked off. I'm picking Rwood over HV 28-13
  6. It was one heck of a game. ALCOA is a very talented football team, and fought as hard as ever for that one. Tigers, we have to su<k it up and get on with the season. It's a shock after 5-0 to go to 5-1, but no more! Just goes to show you how much harder we'll have to work to finish where we want to (Region title isn't gone yet ). I feel sorry for Meigs, cause we're out for blood!
  7. Fellas, we can't talk about it anymore. We'll just have to wait a couple of hours and find out. I know we're gonna be ready (Tigers). I have a really good feeling about this one, but just like everyweek, on any given night anything could happen in a game. If Rwood executes well and stays focused (that hasn't been a problem yet this season, so no need to start tonight) they'll take this one. The time is now! Let's get 'em!
  8. Get 'em tn45. I agree. This team has too much going for them to slip up now. Talent wise, i say these two teams are pretty equal. Experience though is on the side of Rwood. I believe that'll be the deciding factor in this one. Rwood over Alcoa 22-14
  9. Uh oh men. It's time to see if the jungle cats can weather the storm. The tornados come into town trying to decimate high standing tiger, but don't over look this Rwood bunch. We'll be as ready as ever to play. We got a break last week, and we needed it. After 3 emotional games the Bledsoe County game was a much needed respite for the Tigers. Alcoa is coming into this one with six games under their belt compared to rwood's 5, but they may not have the same confidence as the tigers. They know they can play with the best of em and this should be a crazy game. Quite possibly it could be the Tiger's first OT game, but definitely not a Rwood loss. I look for the Rwood D to be as prepared as ever and wonder if that extra game will take its toll on the young tornados.
  10. Refs, please. We haven't had the best of luck with the refs. Your man was out and you know it, he bounced that last yard into the endzone, and the forward lateral at the end was purely trash. John T. Armes is the only one of you bulldawgs that deserves any respect. He's an athlete, but you my friend are only mad because you got outplayed.
  11. This should be an interesting game. Rockwood has a few tricks to try out, and I can't wait to unleash them on the region. It should be a good one. I hope the game is as wide a margin as people are saying, but then again that's up to the players isn't it? I know Rwood will be ready; in the race for 10-0 (15-0 is nice), every game counts, we know this. We will be prepared.
  12. Wartburg is an excellent team this year, but didnt' they lose to Rockwood </end rhetorical question>
  13. Thanks, goose. Glad to see you're finally showing us some support. J/K we know you support us. This week is very necessary for the tigers. Hopefully we'll be able to take care of business the first half and leave the scraps for the 2nd Team. Lord knows the 1st teamers need to rest after last night. Keep at 'em tigers and Get'er done!
  14. I've seen this coming since we played em last year. Alcoa is this year's sleeper team and just woke up last night. The annual 2-2a powerhouse is trying to rise again, just as they did under Coach Meadows. I'm looking to our week 6 game to be just as big as this last one with the Burg. Our region this year is so equal in so many aspects: Offensively, Defensively, Sp. Teams, Leadership, Everything! I still believe that each region game, minus harriman, will be decided by who wants it more.
  15. Talk about it coming down to special teams, man If Rwood would have lived up to its usual EP rep, it could have been a whole new ballgame; more than likely an OT game. I have to say Congrats to Joseph Bowman for making those two crucial extra points. The whole special teams corps at rockwood did exceptionally well last night. Zeno of Cittium
  16. Shoemaker doesn't like #58 from Rwood for some reason. I just don't understand why, though. </sarcasm>
  17. We can't be overlooking them! It doesn't matter who they've played or haven't played, coming into a very crucial region game both teams will be bring their "A" games. To the poster that said "if they have one," Keep on doubting us, we'll be glad to prove you wrong. We've done it 2x this year already. Underdog status is good, if people aren't expceting anything from you it's that much sweeter to us. Rwood boys, get your heads focused on the game. IT's our time this year.
  18. Good post accarp. It's about time someone actually gave some prediction about a game and tried to back it up, instead of just popping off at the mouth. I'm lookin' forward to get into one heck of a game. Look for the tigers to come out hype, and keep it up the whole game. That's been their key for sucess this year. We can actually put together a whole game instead of just 2 quarters. I expect it to be a track meet , with Harvest, Clark, and Payne leading the way, and big Pryor anchoring the last leg. Go get em Tigers!
  19. SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE IS A LITTLE SORE ABOUT IT STILL RIPLEY. (isn't all caps annoying?) common internet coutresy. Anyway, That just goes to show you that on any given night the big dog can go home and the underdog may come away with the upset. Rwood needs to remember that going into this week with wartburg, so they don't come and sneak one away from us.
  20. Man, where's the hype surrounding this one? It's like going from playin in Neyland Stadium, to the rustic carson newman feel. I know the fans aren't just expecting wartburg to lay down. I know the Rwood players aren't looking for that to happen either. We're expecting revenge. Revenge from our loss back in Middle School. Remember that night...You won't taste that victory again, dawgs. That's all the motivation we'll need to bring it to you hard. f34|2 t3h +|G3|2$
  21. That is kinda scary to think about. McMillan had 4, yep I counted em, 4 chances to kick it through. If Kingston would have kicked it when they were down there the first time, that's not to say the game would have played out like it did, but it was always a possibility, they would have won or at least sent it into OT. I would have settled for 3 (or in this case 12) instead of the big 0 if it were my call. But, I'm glad ole Vic was too proud of his Jackets to settle for the 1/2 a TD
  22. In Region 2-2A, every region game is a big game. Well, except with Biggummer's Blue Devils. I'm anxious to see how this one turns out. Should be quite a game.
  23. First extra point was blotched in every area. Not just bowman. Slow snap, slow hold, stutter step before the ball was kicked. It had all the makings of a missed extra point. The second TD by the tigers was the 2-pt conversion. Good! The thied TD was a bad snap and the holder was unable to handle it, not chance at all to even kick.
  24. Why shouldn't there be hype around this one? This is a Region 2-2A playoff seed game. For the players this should be much bigger than a county game. This decides, for the seniors, if their season will go past week 10 or prematurely end. Rwood's gonna be hyped, let see if the dawgs will even try to match us. Les' do Dis!
