  1. Thank, FB, it has been an honor. Yes, Big is riding off into the sunset with me.
  2. I think he had 16 rushing attempts for 231 yards, plus a 94yd kick-off return. The QB stats I don't have. I'll try to get them posted later.
  3. Congrats to the Cougars, ya'll were the better team. Good game, good crowd and it was fun watching Mr. Cunningham do his stuff. Good luck to the Cougars against the Bulldogs. CPA will be pulling for ya'll. After 16 years of doing the stats for CPA, I'm moving on and letting some other folks take over. It has been a privilege to work for the school, the coaches and players. Bighurt has been my spotter for 13 of those years and no one does it better. Thanks, Ken. I'll miss getting to see/meet all the fine Coacht members. It was always fun to put a face to a name. I'm going to continue to hang around Coacht, just to keep ya'll in line. What a great site for this is for Tennessee high school sports. Thank you, Jim. VG, cue up Roy and Dale, I think a little "Happy Trails to You" is appropiate.
  4. There is no truth to the rumor that Bighurt will be parachuting out of a helicoptor, with the game ball, tonight. 1. There ain't a helicoptor big enough so lift Big's Big Butt above 10 feet. 2. NASA is currently out of those 3 big parachute thingys that they used to use to get the Apollo spacecraft down. Sorry for any confusion.
  5. Pardon me while I get my Mary Poppins tape out......yes practically perfect in everyway!!
  6. Talked to one of my ref buds. If the kicked ball's momentum takes it into the endzone, even if the receiver "muffs" the catch, it is a touchback. If the player throws or bats the ball into the endzone during a runback, he is considered to have possession of the ball, and the ball is now "live". If he is returning the ball, then he controlled it before it went into the endzone. However, if he losses possession, the ball is "live' where ever it goes. Ok, my head hurts.
  7. During CPA's game with Fairview this past Friday, a similiar event came up. We kicked-off to Fairview, the Fairview player mishandled the kick(passed through his hands) and it went into the endzone. No whistle at this point. He then went into the endzone and picked the ball up and proceded to exit the endzone. At that point, when he picked it up, the official blew his whistle and signed touchback. Based on that, I would think the ball is live, until someone controls it.
  8. If the "live" batted ball goes out of the endzone, then I agree. What happens if the kicking team recovers the "live" batted ball in the endzone? Touchdown kicking team?
  9. Let's get back to discussing the game, or this one is done. Ya'll decide.
  10. Fairview's Tyler Emier 6 punts 226 yds 46 longest 37.1 average Ben Johnson 1 punt 48 yds (rugby style on a third down play) CPA's Lincoln Lakoff 3 punts 148 yds 62 longest 49.3 average
  11. There is one thing to say....... "Rain, Rain, go away. Come back some other day!!! See ya'll at the Den.
  12. Would be nice to be 2-0 in 08 against them, but this one will be a good one. Mr Cunningham will again have our full attention.
  13. Best public school we've played in sometime. Outstanding coaching, very disciplined. CPA 5 turnovers-Fairview 2 CPA had more rushing yds than passing. There's no place like home, Toto!
  14. 4, make that a really rich, not just real rich.
  15. Not to worry, CPA has installed the LMD (Lion Moisture Deflection) system at the stadium. This unit is similiar to the overhead camera you've seen on the NFL and College games. However this system follows all CPA players and prevents any rain from hitting them. On a side note, the water has to go somewhere, so we've also installed the companion product, the YJDS. (Yellow Jacket Dumping System) This unit follows all Yellow Jackets and provides a run-off for the LMD.
  16. No, Antwan's motorcycle and bambi had an incident last week. Motorcycle and bambi didn't make it. Antwan did. Anybody know if "motorcycle season" is open?
  17. Thanks, A, appreciate the shout-out. Ya'll take care of the Warriors. On a side note, the CPA pressbox will be serving fresh venison at halftime. We just happen to get a small shipment in last week, had a few tire marks on it, but it should be ok............ /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  18. All fixed, sorry I'm not perfect like you.
  19. CPA and Fairview have met 4 times. 1995 Fairview 6 CPA 0 @ Fairview 1996 Fairview 0 CPA 27 @ CPA 2005 Fairview 14 CPA 36 @ CPA 2006 Fairview 6 CPA 51 @ Fairview
  20. SP, here's the link. Course the Tennessean got the scoring summary all screwed up........ CPA vs Hickman Co stats
  21. Congrats Owls, keep it going.... Someone ask Antwan how he likes his venison!! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> Glad your ok there buddy.
