    Amanda Edwards

Amanda Edwards will help CSCC, with this years talent they have coming in CSCC will challenge there conference. Amamda is a true dedicated softball player with great pitching ability, and a solid infielder while also playing great right or left field. Amanda played for the Columbia Challengers Express and past Driller teams. Amanda also has a good stick, Big loss for U-T Martin but an even bigger gain for Johnny and CSCC. Go Amanda
  5. Sorry to hear you are going to go through another coach, sounds like Culleoka's program 3 coaches in 4 years. Not good. Sidetrain-who is hosting the High School tournament in Shelbyville this fall.
  6. I hear the Hartsfield boy's from Dickson (Mark and Miles) visit CSCC this week, as they are also making a few other visits to other schools prior to deciding. One tough set of middle infielders and also great hitters.
  7. Any other district 11-A Schools have information on who was selected other than Forrest. Congratulations to Chapel Hill (Forrest) players as you had a great season.
  8. Does anybody have information as to who was selected to the all district baseball team for 11-A?
  9. I only wish my daughter could have played high school softball for Coach Cheatham. She is the best coach in the district whether you like her or not. At Culleoka, we have had 3 coaches in 4 yrs. There is no way to develop a program like that. We were loaded with 7 seniors this season and if they had played their entire softball career for Coach Cheatham, we would be where Forrest is now. She is a coach that knows how to make things happen. That team does not know how to loose. I am envious because we are out of it. At least Richland can go on to the region. As for the player that did not make all-district, she IS one of the best ball players out there, so it doesn't always seem right-the way the votes go. She knows who she is and she is awesome and a great girl too. Good luck to Richland and Forrest-hope you BEAT district 12!! There is not nearly the competition in that district than in ours!!
  10. Culleoka- Bridget Thompson, Paige Provey, Kayla Cole
  11. This season, Culleoka given Forrest the most competition. One game was decided in the 10th inning (1-0)-international tie-breaker and the other (1-0) in the seventh. Those two teams match up very well. It will be interesting!
  12. Culleoka 3 Cornersville 1
  13. Culleoka also had senior night this past week. Congratulations are in order for our seven seniors!!-Paige Provey, Anna Foster, Bridget Thompson, Jamie Anderson, April Frasier, Christine Meath and Chasity Bowen. These seven have shown great leadership and dedication and the underclassmen on the bench are learning a lot by watching these girls at play. Hopefully they will pick up and take off next season. It's been fun and most of these seniors have played recreation and/or travel ball together since elementary school. Good luck to all of you at graduation and into the future!! And thanks for the competitive games you have allowed the fans to see!
  14. FIELDDAD, Yes you are right and congratulations are in order for the Forrest Lady Rockets. Culleoka's pitcher Bridget Thompson had 2 very tough assignments going 17 innings between 2 games and losing both 1-0. My hats off to her as a pitcher and also as an all around player as she represents and brings hardwork, dedication, sportsmanship and values to district 11-A softball. I believe the 2-game match up was some of the best softball I have had the chance to see in district 11-A this year. Good luck to all teams in district 11-A come tournament time.
  15. Moore county girls played the Culleoka Lady Warriors very hard tonight but came up a little short. The score was 6-5 as the Warriors prevailed. Moore County girls need to be commended as they are coming around and with the new coach, I believe you will see even a better team next year. The Culleoka fans respect their determination, drive, and performance and want to say thanks and keep up the good work! This team is not an old MC team and I believe respect is due.
  16. Tucker and Orton(pitcher-catcher) are one tough duo. I believe if HCHS is firing on all 8 cylinders at tournament time along with team work, attitude, and desire this group of girls will surprise a few teams. My bet is with HCHS.
  17. It does not matter if it is the best stick on the team or a player that bats in the lower part of the order. It's called situational softball and the sooner some coaches and bull headed parents learn the aspects of competative softball they will fully understand. It's obivious you have some players, parents, and coaches in your area that do not believe that all players need to be able to bunt. Any good coach who fully understand this importance will have very successful programs. Again like I said before and recieved positive feedback, College coaches demand all players understand and perform the short game (Bunting) it's the difference between a (W) or a (L).
  18. Culleoka's Paige Provey sure does a great job at first. In summer ball she played for the Columbia Challenger Express. She is tall and can reach anything while also digging out alot of bad throws and converting them to big outs. Paige also has a great stick and good speed on the base path
  19. It's plain and simple, if a player can't or will not bunt she clearly does not understand the importance of winning. Any coach who understands the importance of the short game (bunting) is a very successful coach and one with a high win percentage. Good coaches will beat you in a heart beat by manufacturing runs and also by making a team work and play defense. Ask any college coach and they will tell you, "if a player can't bunt I dont need her".
  20. Bridget Thompson-Culleoka-Maryville University of St. Louis
  21. Megan-Glad to hear that everything turned out positive and you are ok.
  22. I agree-My vote goes to Megan Rhodes
  23. Culleoka beat Cascade 6-2.
  24. How about Richland's Sara Old-3rd base-short stop, she played summer ball with the Columbia Challengers last summer. (Junior this year)!! Kayla Orton-Hickman County High School-catcher, good stick and a great kid!! (Junior) Played summer ball with Columbia Challengers last summer. Tara Tucker-Hickman County High School-Lefty-Good Pitcher-good Kid and a great ball player.(Junior) Nikki Osbourne-BGA-Great centerfielder-utility player,Good stick-Great kid and a (Junior) Played summer ball with Columbia Challengers last summer.
