  2. Central won 6-3. Makes them #1, and a tie for 2nd. Both teams played well. Congrats Jenny Bain for your homerun!
  3. actually yes i agree we beat brentwood with their younger girls, but we also beat them in 2 extra innings at Mt Juliet with their varsity.
  4. it will come down to losses against sceded teams i do believe.
  5. correction, the district tournament location will be decided by the winner of the district. Noone knows where the tournament will be held yet. All depends on what happens this week!
  6. i would definitely have to agree with you! Sara Willams is indeed a very good catcher! It's a relief having her behind the plate! Shelby from CA is a VERY good catcher, tooo! Keep up the hard work ladies!
  7. oh yes that team will for sure be *STACKED* this year. Also dont leave out Courtney Billington. With Billington, Bain, Mashburn, and even Kristyn Clark all in one line up they will be a tough team!
  8. Randy Sampson was indeed a good coach, but Rob Gaines is good too! I do not know much about the Friendship softball team but i do know that they have a good coach. I played for him when i was at DCA.
  9. Just curious what people think!
  10. ConGats! keep up the hard work! thumb

  13. okay i am going to kind of change this up a little. i think it is only right to honor the biggest motivation in my life! okay here goes: i have played softball since i was 4 years old. I always played in the little league program and never really thought of playing the real travel ball. i was always taught by my father and mother to go out there and give it my best! My parents were always there for me, but when i was about 10, my dad became very sick. They didnt know if he would make it, and if he did they said he may not ever be able to walk again. My dad had brain surgery and was very much changed. They told him he wouldnt be able to walk again for atleast 6 months but he did it in 3. Everything they told him, he defied to odd's. I was SO proud of him. But then things changed. Some things went bad in my life. I was at a private school, but we couldnt afford tuition anymore so my parents sent me back to the local public school. My dad left us, and made it really hard on us. My mom, who is my absolute biggest fan, did all she could do to keep me in the school i was in. We lost everything. (the house, the car, etc.) My mom never gave up! She spent hours searching for somewhere for us to live in that zone and paying money that she didn't have just so i could continue playing softball. She goes out of her way to provide for me and make sure i have everything i ever need. I dont know where i would be without my mom today, but she is the one person who has taught me "No matter what bad happens in your life you jus gotta hold your head up and go on." My mom has done such a great job of showing me this and im SO proud to say that she is my mom! i lovee you so much mom. thank you for everything! thumb <3 your daughter <3
