  1. Let me be the first to say i was dead wrong about Huntingdon. Wow! The Bell kid is amazing, but to be honest, Hunt's line was dominating on both sides of the ball. Line play is what decided this game. Any running back worth anything would have dominated behind that great line. That #19 looks like he may be a stud too. Congrats on what looks like to be a state championship tonight. I admit I was wrong. What an impressive showing. 9yearoldchamps, you were dead right on this one. I dont know how they even lost a single game this year. Sorry guys, the post before i didn't realize i was logged in under the last post. My friend was on here too.

  3. Catfish, I agree with you onDL. DL 47 Huntington with their great D- 6( with that kind of defense i expect 3 safeties)
  4. Catfish, I'll agree with you on one thing. That Stinnett kid was one heck of a football player. Maybe a little lazy at times, but a terror on the football field. He may have been one of the best football players to come from this area had he not lost his paiion to play. I know he broke his dad's heart, but I know Auburn had a lot of interest in him. That Sheldon kid was ok, but had nothing on Stinnett. If he had played only one way, you could have called him Mr. Football.
  5. This quote makes no sense at all to me. Why would I as a University of Tennessee student, and being from East Tennessee want to see these players out there for the big orange. I've saw many of the area teams play and enjoy watching these athletes as much as anybody else. If you want UT to start signing all these in-state players, we might as well try to move to the SWAC conference or try to play division II. There's reason Vanderbilt is the armpit of the SEC. It's because they recruit players heavly in-state. Congradulations to Vanderbilt, for finally getting their first SEC win in like 4 years. This is a high school website so I apologize about having to talk about Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Fact of the matter is, UT is a top notch program who recruits the top players in every state(ex. Ellix Wilson, Demonte Boldin) Why would they sacrifice other number one state prospects, so some tennessee high school fans could get that warm fuzzy feeling about seeing someone they know play. UT-K does recruit in-state. How about these guys. John Henderson, Will Bartholomew, Troy Fleming, Cedric Wilson, Shaun Summers, Demonte Boldin, Ellix Wilson, Charles McCray, and some of the other greats I'm sorry, but i'd rather have a 10 win UT team with players from all over, than that junior college team playing in Nashville.
  6. Catfish, I totally agree with you. Lipscomb is by far the best team in 2A and probably one of the top 4 or 5 teams in all classifications. I'm definately not a DL fan, but reality is what it is. Hunt has had a great year and they're deserving of all they've accomplished, but there is no way DL will be beat in this game unless there is some CAK-Cloudland miracle. Final Prediction DL-43 Hunt-17
  7. Who is this Catfish person who is throwing around all these rediculous predictions. I think he may be an expert in the field of High School football. He probably went to 2 games per week to have all the knowledge he has. Oh well, Got to agree with him on this one. Hillsboro is just too much. Good luck Morristown West, but this isn't maryville and your not going to win
  8. I think I have to agree with the ol' Catfish's prediction. DL is simply too much to handle. Catfish, your number are a little bit off though. I think it's going to be DL- 44 (6TD's and a safety) Hunt- 12
  9. Keep an eye on Spencer Gulmire from Oak Ridge. Kid was just a sophmore this year and has been sharing time with Corey Booker the last two years. With booker gone, Gulmire will shine. The kid has averaged around 10 yards a carry for the past two years. Thats pretty impressive
  10. Thanks, hadn't seen them play, was just curious.
  11. So who's the best running back in the history of the state in high school guys? Opinion can be based on careers or single years. Troy Flemming and Will Bartholmew will be on a few lists I'm sure, but all i got to say is Scottie Witt from Clinton High School in 1992. If the kid could have spelled his name out, he'd have picked the D1 school that he wanted to go to. He was better than any back i've seen in this area in recent history. Shaun Summers from Oak Ridge was good, but Witt was in a league by himself.
  12. Can someone please expain how Demonte Boldin didn't win Mr. Football for 2A lineman. How can someone who is rated in the top 3 in the nation at his postion not win this award. I'm not a tyner fan, nor have i seen him play, but is his teammate better than him? This is really a shame, not taking anything away from the winner. An earlier post was saying that these awards are meesed up since eddie moore didn't win the award his senior year. I totally agree that Moore should have been named Mr. Football. I've still not seen a better back than him since his senior year.
  13. Heritage and sevier county , anyone know anything about Kingston?
  14. Coach Lane by far. He'd be at some college if not for having to take a pay cut
  15. Being from Oliver Springs, I know what kind of team Coach Lane puts together each year. We did a good job of taking advantage of the errors. You guys are always fundamental and i really don't see those types of errors happeneing again. Good luck on the rest of the season, and please shut those harriman people up. They have no class.
  16. Don't get too excited and start thinking your any good. Rockwood played good against OS, just didn't make a few plays. As far as your Homeruns are concerned. I am happy that your team can get pumped up for knocking around a freshman who probably doesn't throw 70 and who struggles to hit spots. I guarantee you lose the next one. By the way, I like the velcro on the hats. Nice touch
  17. Basically I think that Harriman is jealous of everybody. Harriman has always been outclassed by most roane co teams. They don't know how to act when things are going good or bad. I think that Harriman's problem is that they're tired of being underachiever's. It's goes all the way back when Matt Ladd and Booby whatever his name is played. Rockwood is consistently one of the best teams around. When they were in 2A, they might have not always been the favorite, but they always came to play. If you don't believe me ask Kingston. They know better than anybody. Harriman people just need to shut up and keep themsleves from looking ignorant. Rockwood will go farther once again this year, not only because of superior coaching, but because their players have the right attitude all the time
  18. Does anyone have any predictions for the game tonight?
