in 3 of the four losses...particularly on the left side of the infield...this team will definitly bounce back and win some games in the district having games with Hillsboro, Franklin and Ravenwood this week
It all depends on if Coach Waggoner realizes that he really only has 9 players to play....he has to be creative in order to just play those 9 players Brentwood will be tough to beat this year....first year in a long time when the 11-aaa race has been wide open
All you have to do is watch the kid swing a bat and then realize he shouldn't even be on the team much less in the batter's box. Overton has many talented players that get overlooked to allow playing time for Cunningham becuase of who his dad is.
wow the smell of preseason baseball...all the hype in the world. Anybody remember the preseason rankings for NCAA Men's Basketball this year wasn't Georgia Tech in the top 10? and now they aren't even in the top 25. Goes to show preseason doesn't mean a thing. Overton won't be able to just "walk" threw the district. They have only 2-3 legit players Goodenow Langston and Suter and maybe Sutherland other than that average. And I wouldn't call signing with Vol State going to the next level. That's merely just for the average high school players
Orona from Smyrna is an exceptional player. Heimerdinger from Brentwood who was leading the Mid-State in receptions. Coker from Antioch saw him play against Franklin in the Playoffs he's a stud.
If Ravenwood applies pressure that they exemplified in the first game it will be tough for the Bruins to come out on top. Down one lineman (Hanks) need someone to step in for his poistion on both sides of the ball. This is will be a closer game then the last one. Bruins will come out with much more fire and emotion in this one.
Brentwood- 17
Ravenwood- 10
wow Brentwood fans just don't know when to keep their mouths shut...spoken from a Brentwood fan I might add. This years team does not even come close to the talent level of last year and not even close to the State Championship year. Why can't people just stink it up and come to realize that we just aren't as good as years past. The team will still fight and play hard just need to catch some breaks that's all. Scrimmages don't mean jack....look at the drubbing Riverdale gave us.
2003 Brentwood @ Centennial
Centennial has the game won then the fateful handoff Ian Van Horne busts threw the line causing a fumble and if I recall correctly Kyle Skiera falls on it Willis puts home the game winning field goal...Brentwood did not deserve to win that game Centennial dominated every aspect of that game
I second that Franklin reply...they are crazy loud...Brentwood Fans are the typical luxury life fans arrive in the second leave in the third....no fan support for basketball or baseball..Franklin's turnout for all the events is amazing...I wish Brentwood had the same support for their school
I'm looking for Brentwood to try hard to capture a crown...but if worse comes to worse for Brentwood it will all be ok with the automatic bid they earned by capturing the season title. I see Centennial or Overton to pull it out if Brentwood doesn't
I believe Brentwood and Centennial are tied atop the 11-aaa standings at 8-2...big game wednesday Centennial @ Brentwood. Centennial looks to revenge the 9-0 pounding big race to the finish and the automatic region bid.
