  1. Congratulations Vikings and Coach Frost on your first region win!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> You have all worked so hard to get the program going. It says a lot about your coaching staff, players, and community support to get a big region win so early in your program. Great job!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. Congratulations Champions on that decisive win!! Now, Butchie, could you correct the score on the scoreboard? It was 48-24, NOT 42-28. We may need those points before the end of the season. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  3. Cascade 47 -- Eagleville 13 Great game, guys.
  4. Congratulations, Lady Champs!! Way to hang in there.
  5. Oops, Supaballa, you missed this one! Cascade 61-57. Great game, Champs.
  6. Not to take anything away from the Eagleville team, Goforthegoal, but the Cascade team was dealing with the death of a senior classmate who died in a car accident the night before the Eagleville-Cascade game. Most of the students did not even find out about it until they got to school Friday. Coupled with the loss last spring of a teammate, it's a wonder these guys even made it out on the field. They have had to handle a lot of adversity in the last six months. My hat's off to them, and to all of Region 6A - high school football at its best!
  7. Chris is an assistant football coach and head baseball coach, both at the high school level.
  8. Those who knew and loved Allen Ray thank you for your support and prayers this week. The various services have helped the healing to begin, but many will feel the pain for a long time. Be sure to tell your loved ones that you do love them, today. I hope Allen knew how much he is loved and will be missed.
  9. Please remember the Cascade High School community in your prayers this week. Allen Ray, a popular sophomore football and basketball player, died suddenly late Monday due to an undetected physical condition. We are in a state of shock and grief. The school is planning a memorial for Thursday afternoon, with his funeral on Friday afternoon. It has been a tough week. Allen was a great kid with a lot of potential, both athletically and personally. Pray for his family and friends as we face the next few days. We loved him.
  10. What a great game Lady Champs!!! #54 with 41 points was awesome, as was the entire team the entire game. You 6 girls never gave up. We are all so proud of you.
  11. TSSAA score is a typo. 42-31, DCA. amc, the only reason I didn't post it earlier is that I just got home. Late game, almost 10 pm before the finish. Congratulations Cascade on a great season. Good luck to DCA next week.
  12. You are more than welcome, Panfan. Will we see you at the game?
  13. Panfan - Cascade is halfway between the towns of Bell Buckle and Wartrace in Bedford County. From Nashville, take I-24 east towards Chattanooga. There are two exits off of I-24 that will get you there. I like to get off the Shelbyville exit at Hwy 231 in Murfreesboro (exit 81 I think). Head south towards Shelbyville. Not sure of the mileage, but 10-15 miles south of I-24 turn left (east) on Hwy 82 (there is a well-lighted BP Market there). About 5 miles from Hwy 231 you will enter the town of Bell Buckle. Take a right at Hwy 269 before crossing the railroad tracks in Bell Buckle. The school is 2 miles from Bell Buckle on the right. The parking lot is between the elementary and high schools. Come on down!!
  14. Thanks for the update, Thelma. Adam is in our thoughts and prayers daily. He sure has some good friends down there in Wayne County. Keep us posted on his condition as you can.
  15. Thanks for reminding us of the important things. I am sending this to several friends.
  16. Amen to that, brichard. Hope all four Region 6A teams put it to them in the playoffs.
  17. My only problem with the game was with 10.5 seconds left and a lead of 38-13, why was Collinwood even running a play? I have seen many coaches with a commanding lead order their quarterback to take a knee for the last 1+ minutes. This, at the very least, minimizes the possibility of a player getting hurt for no reason. I was, and am, still upset by this action. However, I appreciate Coach Statom's apology. Good luck to both teams next week. By the way, Chakra, we must have seen you when we got off the Trace on our way to the game. If we had known it was you, we would have stopped to help. On second thought, that may have hurt your standing with the cop. Better luck next week!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with Adam and his family. Please keep us updated with his progress. 18. And how many Region 6A games have you seen this year?
  19. What an AWESOME game, Champs!!!!!!!!! I think you made some folks sit up and pay attention tonight. Way to take it to them. Hope the kid taken off the field is OK. Heard it was his ribs. Any confirmation on this from Wayne County folks? We pray it's nothing serious. Enjoy tonight, boys. Gotta get back to work next week. Collinwood awaits. Congratulations! 20. The Cascade School community sends its thoughts and prayers to Adam and his family. May God send you strength and peace. Know that everyone who has heard of your situation is praying and pulling for you. God bless you.
  21. WOW! What at game!!!The Champion defense did step up to the challenge and met it headon. Anytime a team can go on the road against two undefeated teams at this time of the year and come back home with two wins is a statement. The offense wasn't too shabby tonight either. Great team effort all around. As a fan, it sure was a fun game to watch. Just keep up the hard work, fellas.
  22. Final score - Cascade 26 - Huntland 20. Great game, Champs!
  23. Add to that list Cascade 27/ Watertown 6 Go Champs!!!
